It was one of those rare sleepless nights for Vax. Be it his nerves, his thoughts, the lingering traces of a nightmare. Or whatever feelings he felt bubbling up for you.
Nights like these, he was grateful for the keep’s broad halls and separate rooms, seeing as how he felt like a talk might soothe his restless mind for the night. And the one he wanted to talk to most was you this moment. The shadows worked in his favor tonight, trying not to wake the others. As he knocked at your chamber’s doors for a good while, he still heard no response. Figuring something was out of the ordinary, he turned the knob to enter.
“Sweet? Peach? You in here? Seeing the covers overturned on your bed, and the cool breeze from the opened window, Vax figured where you might have been. He chuckled at the sentiment, seeing as you had trouble sleeping too apparently.
It was a starry night that reminded you of back home. Ever since you were little, you admired nights like these because it let your imagination run wild of fantasy worlds that inhabited each star. You would climb up to the top of the family house roof and just admire the stars and give them their own names. Each with their own story and history that let your mind run until it lulled you to sleep. Ever since you had joined Vox Machina, you still kept this habit up especially after the tougher missions. Tonight was one of those nights.
Liberating Whitestone, facing one too many near-death experiences on your part, and realizing that you may or may not have feelings for one of your best friends. It was a lot to process, but for once this was something in your control that gave you a semblance of your old life. You were snapped out of your revelry as you heard the roof creak with another presence. Soon, you saw Vax’s hand reach up towards the roof as the rogue pulled himself up to where you sat. “Figured you’d be out here tonight. Couldn’t sleep either?”
You smiled softly as he scooted closer to you. “Am I really that easy to read? A lot’s been going on, and I still like to sit under the stars. Helps clear my mind.” Stars, a cool night, you letting your walls down around him. Was this a sign? Should he take that chance right now. Vax swallowed before he decided his next words. “It is a nice night, but even nicer with you here.” You laughed as you slightly bumped into his shoulder. “Careful Vax’ildan, that sweet talk of yours will get you into trouble.”
“And I know that you’ll be there to get me out of it, just as you always do my hero.” Your laugh rung through the clear night, not making matters any easier on for the poor half-elf’s heart. He inched closer to where your shoulders were practically glued to each other. You turned your head to face him, heart hammering in your own chest and eyes searching for any indication of what you always assumed.
“Vax...how long have you had feelings for me?” It was so sudden that you practically felt time freeze for you both. You could see the brown eyes widen in anticipation and the blush creep up on his face. He tried to turn away for a while, but you could hear him muttering something under his breath. “What was that?”
“I said...is it really that obvious? How could I have kept it away for so long?” He laughed nervously, trying to play it off before jumping farther into the abyss of his heart. “You know I’m in love with you, but it’s not a big deal...if you don’t feel the same, I understand if...”
You leaned closer to him and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. “That’s what I wanted to hear. I’ve felt the same way too.” Vax smiled at you in such a sweet manner that it squeezed your heart. He returned your kisses, whispering his confessions to only your ears in between them. “I’ve always desired you...for quite some time now. And truth be told, you’re making it harder and harder to NOT act on those feelings right now.”
This was it. You knew yourself and what you wanted, and you wanted this now with him. “Then prove it then.”
By the time you reached your chambers, you both laid claim to each other. A mesh of touches, kisses, and embraces with clothes strewn across the floor. Your body and kisses accepted the love that poured from Vax as you felt him worship you. You opened yourself and your heart to him, and returned the love you felt. Lying across your bed, your hands joined over your heart as he worshipped every part of you.
Vax never knew how delicious his name sounded on your tongue, but he knew that he never wanted it to stop. He could just languish away for hours, making love to you and bringing each other to endless rounds of pleasure with your touch, hands and mouth. When you took him inside of you, it was a union of souls that longed for each other.
His hips rolling back and forth only increased your pleasure, taking you higher to that peak. Vax’s lips founds yours again, murmuring his heart’s deepest desires. “I’ve wanted you to let me be yours for the longest time now…gods…you’re gonna make me…I’m..”
You clenched around him as he throbbed in ecstasy. The rogue cling to you, hands intertwined and and spread above your head. You had never heard such desperate moans sound so beautiful as wave after wave racked through his body. For a good while, you both laid there spent form your passions. When Vax lifted his head from the crook of your neck, he gently kissed you before pressing his forehead against yours.
After tonight, there was never a sliver of doubt in your mind. Your feelings for him were true, and Vax would go to the ends of the continent with you without hesitation.

After the extended cast announcement, I REALLY think it’s possible to get Mark Hamill as Vecna, assuming the animation eventually goes that far
