In 2019, an artist I followed on Newgrounds, called OutlawEric (though he went by idrawbutts at the time) presented the world with a fun little art challenge called Sprite Draw. On his website, at the still functioning link https://www.beaudu.com/spritedraw one would generate a random set of pixels and interpret them into a figure of some kind. Plenty of folks participated. I was one of them, and decided to do a whole five-by-five grid for some reason. Then in 2020 I decided to do it again, though I was the only one this time. This is the 2020 set, in the Cooler Daniel position next to the 2019 set.
I also decided to write lore for these as a fun creative challenge but I'm too proud of the formatting to post it without and I'd either have to go through the bother of re-exporting all of these with the little labels attached or post them separately, whereupon they wouldn't all fit into one post. The writing is also bad probably.
Character designs for a game idea from 2017 that I occasionally remember, formatted in the worst possible way for most websites for height comparison purposes. Basically here's this fantasy setting with orcs (1, 10, 12), trolls (2), goblins (5, 6, 9) elves (8, 11) and various magical entities (3, 4) and a UFO crashes in the middle of it, hence the robot.

A comic I made about a year ago of Red riding hood where the role of the wolf and red are swapped.
The first three is the original while the bottom three are the final product, the limited palette works better here.

Based off a sketch a did a while ago, I love these two. This old nerd could really use some Mabel pampering to help along with the healing process.
Original sketch involved her having painted his nails as well but it didn't look right in the limited palette, maybe next time </3
Oh, and speaking of which, I love this palette! I wasn't sure how it'd go at first but it's really nice and cozy, perfect for this scene.

A little woodland scene painted with three spare watercolour half pans.
I found these in a box of half pans I’d forgotten about while digging out my gouache. I don’t use pre-made pans anymore (I just squeeze tubes into them), so I thought I’d pick two or three out at a time and mess around with limited palettes. I played it safe this time with sepia, yellow ochre and intense green, but next time I might pick some at random and see what I can do.
The tiny sketchbook is also something I used half of and then forgot about. I seem to have used a lot of it for swatches so I think it deserves some nicer pieces.
Recently I've been doing some limited palette paintings using a box of spare watercolour half pans. I jumble them all up, pick two with my eyes closed, then try to paint something with them. This is cadmium red and viridian which is a pretty... festive combination. I was slightly horrified when I first pulled them out, but I'm quite pleased with the result.
Limited palette 3: blue and blue
These are the risks we take when we pick without looking. I think I managed to get a decent amount of contrast in there eventually.
One of these is a Winsor & Newton cobalt blue, the other is Sennelier but doesn't have the colour name on the pan, so I'm not sure which blue it is.
Limited palette 4 : yellow ochre and winsor red
I had a fourth one of these I never posted! I somehow have about 4 spare pans of yellow ochre, so I'm surprised I only picked it once (so far). I'm quite pleased with the value range I got on this one.
Limited color pallet, it was annoying and fun. It also got me to push through it, not having to think hard on how I'mma color the pic. Just to clear if there was confusing it's donnie cosplaying Miku hatsune
