If you read the scorpions mouthparts as a a pair of 'beaks' (which is how it looked to me initially, assuming that there is some kind of consistent perspective, which on further looking may be a mistake...), it's not a terrible representation of a scorpion's actual mouthparts/chelicerae. I could also feasibly believe it's meant to represent its pincers, but no idea what's going on with the... are those tongues? Antennae? 🤷

Definitely the first bestiary scorpion that I could reasonably guess what it's meant to be, though :D

(Sorry for the delay on this. I've had deadlines keeping me busy, but they're done now and I'm trying to catch up on various things that fell by the wayside.)

Some remarkable stuff here. I absolutely love someone writing "it's not like that" over the description, and I really have to wonder (not that an answer is likely forthcoming) about the context. On one hand, the idea that someone is just straight-up (correctly) disputing the claim that a scorpion is a serpent with a woman's face is pretty funny. On the other hand, I also like the idea that this comment is meant to be juxtaposed with the illustration: "hey, I'm not sure if you've noticed, but the giant rampaging monster you've drawn here does not have a woman's face. it's not like that."

Also, I know the scale is often not meant to be representative in these illustrations, but wow that's a big scorpion. We're back to prehistoric vibes, but this time our scorpion looks more like an actual dinosaur than any other thing I can think of. I suppose that's just my only referent for an armored creature of that size. It looks like it's a serious challenge for 4-6 mid-level adventurers.

No idea what's going on with those mouthparts, also. They need to be acknowledged, but I don't know what to say about them.

Anyway, points:

Small Scuttling Beaſtie? ½, definitely looks like it scuttles but is not small in the least

Pincers? eight on the ends of its legs rather than as a separate pair of limbs, but sure, ✓

As for vibes, I am enjoying this one. I don't want it to be near me, but it has a certain majesty when observed from a distance. Like this:

-Actions speak more from words and is something he understands from you, you do not need to talk to make yourself understand what you feel or what you want, that is the stronger communication and understanding

-You two are just lovely doves, please...is almost like you two are made for each other and how you two spend time being together, enjoy each other presence, Kung Lao is freaking jealous

-You never need the necessary to show your powers, or really be important to really tell, only one time Raiden was doing something in the house and almost a pot fell on his head, thankfully you acted fast and used your telekinesis to avoid him getting injured, making him surprised knowing you have powers

-He more relief to know you are not defenseless and you have the power to defend yourself, since that day, you two started to training, you two even lovely doves in the training <3, only could see that deadly side of you one time when the template was attacked, seeing Raiden hurt to make you trigger and really use your powers to kill without mercy

-He was surprised nonetheless, but he knew this could be a problem, he was not afraid of you, not at all, but he is very aware if you dont control/use your correctly your powers this can affect you badly, and he is your lover, he will help you with it

Smoke - Tomas

-Ditto but I think even 'worse', you two take any chance to be with each other, anything! anytime!, and you guys could just spend an entire day in silence, without saying a word, and yet understanding each other, you dont have an idea how Smoke his happy to be with you

-I not joking when I say he is very happy and thankful you exist in his life, your kindness and you are always there when he dont have a good day/bus day, is an escape from reality, almost a dream, he has no idea how thankful he is from you

-The time you showed your powers was when you were training with Smoke, Smoke worried about your safety so he asked you to train with him sometime to time so you can protect yourself if he can't be with you to protect you, something you accept, after all, is fun! in one of does time you use your powers to create a shield due you dint saw Smoke attacks, caught Smoke surprised to see you have powers

-He was happier and relief knowing you had powers to defend yourself, it made him calmer to know you were not defenseless being alone, yet he was worried when one-time Bi-Hand and his ninja came to attack, you were angry, how dare he show his face? and even hurt Smoke more, he was not in his right to say him he was a failure, if was not for Smoke himself, you would already killed Bi-Hand

-Even if Bi-Hand deserves to be punished, Smoke dont like you to take this responsibility because of him, and more he dont want you to kill someone, justice will be made but please...he dont want to see your hands full of blood

Scorpion

-He was not a very talked person either, he speaks when is necessary, so he does not mind if you are silent, he can understand what you want or what you feel, and that is all that he needs

-Even though he has a strong personality, he is sweet with the ones who are trustworthy, and you? even more, he sometimes thinks you dont need to be this kind to him, knowing he is always busy and you most alone...but that does not matter, you care about him and he cares about you as well, even when time is limited

-I feel your powers are shown off when once again, being attacked, use a variety of your powers, Telekinesis, Energy power, teletransportecion, he relief knowing you can defend yourself but there is no time for think from that

-Again, you will be not allowed to kill Bi-Hand, and you two have your first serious talk, is nothing that bad, but Scorpion is concerned about this power, is too much, and can be this a problem in the future if you can't use correctly, or be influenced by it, but dont worry, he will help you, he will there to help you to control your powers

Sub-Zero

-Ditto but worse, he is not a very talked person at all, only talks rarely and mostly not good, you being quiet he dont mind, but sometimes you two dont understand each other silence :( so can this result in some problems

-Even the coldest heart has a warm spot, after all, he loves you, and even he dont like to show this side because he dont want to look "weak", you are the only one who can warm his heart, does nice moment almost feel forever, and you can see in Bi-Hand eyes he dont want this to stop anytime sooner...

-Knowing he put you into the Lin-kuey army, surely will know very soon about your powers, and not hesitate to train you to be more powerful more stronger, to try to reach your limit and full potential

-He allowed you to kill, to spread blood all around, no one deserves to limit such power like yours have, and surely in no time your hand be full of blood for once was an obstacle from Bi-Hand's wishes

Kenshi Takahashi

-again, a quiet guy, who only talks when is necessary, or when he really feels very motivated he will talk more often, he dont mind your silence, but sadly his blind condition is the need of some words, physical communication can help too, but words are need it

-talking about physical touch, is very often your sweetness and love are shown that way, because he cant see, he can feel, holding hands, cuddling, gently touching his face or near his eyes, he loves it, is like you make him forgot about everything in the world for a moment, and you can feel his body feel less tense

-Multiple times Sento has seen you as not a good influence, normally Kenshi is awarded the ones who say it are the bad influence spirit who are in Sento, but they're a part of right in they hard words, having that a lot of powers is dangerous, and you show it one time when the yakuza or Shang Tsung tries to attack Kenshi

-After all, he will help you, the temptation of your power could be the same as hearing the voices of Sento, influence you to do bad stuff, he will teach you to have self-control and not let influenced by your own powers

Reiko

-Same, he just talks when he needs to, but when feels very motivated he will talk, A LOT, even if you do not talk much he is more than happy you are there to hear him, and even sometimes struggles to understand you he dont give up!

-He normally gets used to kindness and sweetness, so it takes him time to get used to it your behavior, is not like he dont appreciate your sweet behavior, he does, but from a man who grew up in a hard world is hard to get use to that kind of actions

-knowing you will be working for General Shao, it will be no time before your powers will show up, Reiko even fall hard for you more (lol), and even find the approval of General Shao! you could become someone important in General Shao's army

-he likes it when you do not hold yourself in battle, surely you two have a competition of how much kill/blood you two can cause, you guys are like lovely doves in the most bloody way possible

Baraka

-Again not a talker person becuse he does not have much to say, but he can understand your silence, and tbh, just being with him already thanks a lot, even though sometimes he thinks you deserve someone better and not him, he afraid you get infected from the Tarkat in this forbidden love

-but show him nothing but sweetness, even if you guys can't touch or there is not much communication, your actions always show him that sweet behavior of yours, and no let me state how annoying you are to Mileena to get ANY update about a tarkat cure

-Surely you show one of your powers when you defend yourself from one of the Tarkatans getting out of control and trying to eat you, Baraka will be surprised but the relief you can protect yourself, pretty well

-but one thing for sure, only defends, he dont want your hand to be full of blood, let him be the one to have his hands dirty, he dont want you to become a monster because of your powers

Shang Tsung

-You know him, he surely will try to force you to talk, but most of the time he just enjoys talking alone while you hear him, if he tries to get the best of you, you surely will show him off when dealing with

-knowing now you have powers he will even try to get on your nerves more, want to see how much you can do, and surely...try to see if he can get it, surely learning a horrible lesson for trying to get over your limits (TESTICULAR TORSION)

-You being so sweet but dangerous inside? That his type, you full of blood and seeing how you kill your enemies in a different way as possible, ah, you have no idea how he enjoys it

-there are times yall have sweet moments when he gets is ego aside and treats you as the love of his life, sometimes he blind to the power and the need to rule everything, but his heart has a place, and that place you belong in

Syzoth

-Not very talker, but sometimes he can talk a lot, the silence dont bother him and if he can enjoy time just being with you, is what all he needs, he can't understand you much but he tries his best to understand you as much he can to not force you to talk

-There have been moments you can see Syzoth is worried, maybe thinking about his past, a lot of what if 'I could save them?' 'if never take these decisions?' and much more, that is where you your sweet behavior and powers take action, talking in his mind and comforting him, that may catch him off guard, but it dont matter, does insecurities and possible scenarios he 'could' do something are gone now, thanks of your intervention

-Syzoth is happy to know you have powers, so you are not defenseless, and surprised the a lot of powers you have, sometimes wondering how you manage to control each one of them, it does something be too much for you?

-He will be surprised to see that dangerous side of you, surely when Shang Tsung appears planning something and you taking action on what he did with Syzoth in the past, even if Shang Tsung deserves to be punished or die, Syzoth dont want to be that your responsibility

Havik

-He dont mind, he is not very talked, plus, is your choice, he can't change that and he respects if the way you feel comfortable with, and to be honest, he understands you pretty well

-You two just like to cuddle each other, being with each other, forgetting how cruel it is for just a few minutes, is very common him 'kisses' you on your cheeks and front head, and you always giggle due to the feeling, something makes him happy

-Surely he will know about your powers very soon, and he always told you whatever people tell you about them, it does not matter, are YOUR POWERS, and you are the one in your right to decide what to do with them

-knowing how powerful they are, a lot of death, and a lot of chaos is will be made, for the freedom Havik seeks for the world, a freedom is get from chaos

Liu Kang

-He half and half, he can talk when is needed or talk normally, so is very unpredicted, but he respects your silence and he understands to communicate with you without saying a word

-If the few others are just lovely doves, you two are just lovely peacocks, you guys just do everything to show their kindness, is almost a competition becuse you two are just so sweet!!

-Possibly Geras is the one who warns Liu Kang about your powers, of what can result in different timeless if they are not controlled, Liu Kang is very aware of the consequences of having such power, of how Kronika falls to insanity and being irrational due how much power she have

-He will help you nonetheless, he feels taking it away will not be the right answer, and after all, he can see does power can serve a great future for the safety of everyone and anyone you love

-Scared at first to meet you, will confused you are part of the Ling Kue clan and you are a spy for Bi Han, so at first you will be judged, and earning his trust will be not easy

-Proving you do not work for Bi Han things get more chill, Tomas will apologize for being rude towards you, something you accept it and understand his worries

-He already saw ice powers with Bi Han in the past, but only in training and was taken in battle, so you using it in another way is refreshing and interesting, he also likes you not to do just ice, but also snow

-to be honest, you being with him is a good change, is a change of picture related ice with danger and you showing its not, ice can be also a nice thing and show a lot beauty in it, sadly a beauty Bi Han dint have

Scorpion

-Ditto but he not gonna act that aggressively but he will be cold and on guard with you, so it will be harder to convince him you not working for Bi Han

-Now proving you not working for Bi Han still Scorpion will have his eyes on you, just in case, he worried when you use your ice/snow powers, thinking you are taking your chance to attack, but no, you just doing ice statues

-He sometimes invites you to one of they trainings, possibly wanting to see more of you and your ice abilities, possibly trying to see more where there is nothing there, soon realizes you do not have much experience in battle and badly use your ice powers for battle purpose

-He will train you to defend yourself with your Ice Powers, but he make sure to not make other Bi Han, not make the same mistake twice

Sub-Zero

-Not surprised, you are with the Ice Master inself, so surprised someone like him with the same powers will be not easy, and as you expected he will look at you, seeing if you really have potential

-Even so, he does not waste time, he offers you the deal to join his clan, after all an Ice alie will work just fine and he can take your powers to limits you never imagined, is your decision to accept his offer or not

-He will impress you Ice powers can make ice creatures being alive, and that something he can't do, and that something you have to be proud of surprised the master of Ice, and already has ideas for an ice army

-He will make sure to train you in no time, no waste more of does stupid snowman creations, but rather turn your heart as cold as him and help him with his cruel plans

Kenshi Takahashi

-If knows is becuse of Sento vision, and will be the same alert and ready to attack, it will be hard to convince you not work for Bi Han or something related to him

-He will apologize as soon as proven to show you did not work for Bi Han, he will be feel too awkward about it, because he does not like judge people and more when is innocent, but you understand why he act that way

-He will feel odd you help him with his "eyes" or other kind of injuries to at least make the pain feel less or nun, but something soon gets used to it and he admires you can use your powers for good purposes

-Possibly if your two trust grows, he would ask you to help him to train, for more situations implied ice or cold scenarios, even if you dont have fighting experience, you want to help him as much as you can

Reiko

-You have potential, if you do not give a bad picture, he will soon offer you to join General Shao's army to take down the queen, is your decision if you accept it, but in a no situation he will see you as an enemy or force you anyway

-He dont understand why you use your ice powers for dumb things, like ice skating or ice sculptures, does some sort of things related of creativity or art, he just thinks can be used for battle as more wording thing

-Tho he likes it when you make snow, is relaxing and is like time just stops, like a dream in a deep sleep, he will not admit it or look "weak" at you, but very inside you know he enjoy this

-He will help you to be more stronger and train you so you can defend yourself, at the same time you help him to fight attacks related to ice if anything happen with Bi-Han

Rain

-Good for you, he only has a little experience with Bi-Hand so he will not see you as a enemy as the others, maybe a little but not as big as the others

-Water and Ice, the same element just different structures, surely you two will just play around with both powers, doing an amazing performance, you two is like made of each other

-He will not force you about your powers, but he is very open to helping you to get your potential! who knows what more are you capable of with does powers of yours

-In the end, Rain will be the most acceptable of the rest of the characters, someone who will be connected more fastly from the others, and he is really happy to meet someone like you

Shang Tsung

-Interesting~ He definitely knows you are not part of Bi-Hand, I mean, look at you, you look so kind and delicate, and showing your powers like nothing? if you were someone who worked for Bi-Han you definitely would not show your ice powers so casually

-He of corse will talk to you like a "friend", mostly always the topic is about your Ice powers, a little disappointed to know you never use they potential in battle, but that not matters~

-He will try to convince you to try experiment more with you Ice Powers, to see how much they can do, after all, make snow and ice creatures being alive is not something to see everyday, so he try to manipulate you to fall in his plan

-Fool of you if you hear him, you will regret your decision to the rest of your life

Syzoth

-Attack first, ask later, he will capture you before even knows what attacked you, very confusing situation when he takes you to face "justice" so was had a conversation about you have nothing to do to Bi-Han or WHO is Bi-Han

-Good thing dint arrive to face "justice" when finally you give your explanation, he ask you a lot of things to see if you lying, most of them you was confused because you dint know most of them or what he talking about

-He apologies for such a thing and let you free, you accept his apologies and at least nothing bad happened apart of that, he will visit you just to try to start over again in a good way

-He will always get tense each time you use your Ice Powers, dont worry about it, he just same as the rest kinda affected with all the Bi-Han stuff and well he cant tolerate cold temperatures, but he will be less and less tense each time pass with you

Havik

-Looking at you, analyzing you, he has suspects about you because you dont look a good-trained ninja, either way, will ask why someone from Bi-Han is here, soon he question was answered seeing you have no idea what he referring tho

-He mostly warns you about the world and does not try anything funny, you are just confused by his cold behavior, but I guess he just have his guard on, after all, even you dont know how to fight you still have powers

-It is just a matter of time he becomes closer to you and calmer around you, he enjoys your performance with your powers, after all he always saw powers used for battle, so seeing use it for entertainment and art was a very change of picture

-He insists you dont need to take care of him, but always you convince him to take care of his injuries with you powers, he can't feel pain unless different circumstances, but he appreciates your kindness

Liu Kang

-He has his suspicions first, but seeing how you behave and how you use your powers he knows you are not part of Bi-Han, he just freaks you out by accident due dint knows he was there watching you doing your performance

-He really enjoys the way you use your Ice powers in such a wonderful way, and he is delighted to see more, you blush due to his nice words and attention, something you not get used to it

-He enjoy how creative you are using your Ice powers in as different ways as possible, you could say the sky was the limit but for you was not, he enjoyed seeing the ice animals being alive and moving around!

-You two sometimes do a performance with both of yall powers, fire and Ice, just as interesting a combination as you could imagine! synchronized to make such an amazing show, he always enjoy pass time with you as you enjoy pass time with him

🔥Hanzo Hasashi, is known for his strong and complex personality. He's a very passionate man, but he's a little goofy when it's just you around.

🔥 Hanzo is fiercely loyal, and in a relationship, he would prioritize his partner's safety and well-being. He'd go to great lengths to protect them. He's seen things he doesn't want you to witness, it would break his heart honestly.

🔥Despite his combat prowess, Hanzo is a terrible cook. GOD AWFUL. His attempts at making a simple sandwich often lead to hilarious disasters in the kitchen. YOU'D THINK FOR BEING ABLE TO CONTROL FIRE HE'D BE PERFECT BUT NO. He's not allowed near ANY kitchens.

🔥 Y'know his friendship finisher? He has a hidden collection of cute plush toys, which he claims are "for training purposes only." He cuddles with them when no one is around. One time you walked in and he was in a huge pile of these plushies, to which you got dragged down into.

🔥Outside of his usual outfit I feel like he dresses like a homeless man 🧍‍♂️

🔥I feel would keep an air of mystery around him, making his partner curious about his past and his fire like abilities. He wouldn't want to involve you in the past even if he's still clinging to it.

🔥Despite this his fiery nature would translate into a passionate and intense love. He'd express his feelings with great emotion.

🔥Despite his agility and combat skills, Hanzo is notoriously clumsy in his everyday life. He often trips over his own feet, slips on banana peels, and crashes into things when not in battle. Imagine you watched him fight someone with no problems, he turns to give you a kiss or something like that and he trips over nothing.

🔥Being serious for a moment, I feel like he will definitely train his partner. God forbid he's not around to defend you and something happens, he doesn't want history to repeat itself.

"My love what are you doing?"

The Earthrealm's warriors were used to the relentless training, the brutal battles, and the life-or-death scenarios. But there was one thing they couldn't quite wrap their heads around Hanzo's newfound obsession: cupcakes.

You were lounging in the living room of your shared home, scrolling through your tablet when you heard an unusual sound coming from the kitchen. Following the curious noise, you discovered your husband furiously whisking a bowl of batter, his mask hanging by his side as if it was just another day at the bakery he doesn't work at.

"What's going on here?" you asked, trying to stifle a laugh as you watched him struggle with a mixer.

Hanzo looked up, his fiery gaze locking onto you but he looked like a dear in headlights. "I have discovered the art of cupcakes," he declared, his voice as serious as ever.

You couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Honey, you're not allowed in the kitchen but you're making cupcakes?"

"Yes," he replied, determination in his eyes. "I was bored..." He mumbled as an excuse, but just the other day you and a friend were talking about wanting cupcakes.

Scorpion continued to wrestle with the mixer as you decided to step in. Gently taking the mixer from his hands with a soft chuckle. Together, you managed to create a lumpy cupcake batter that was a mix of all sorts of ingredients he had found in the kitchen. There were sweet and savory items like ketchup, chocolate chips, and even some mysterious spices. Did you know that? Absolutely not, is that for the better? You'll find out.

With a wink, you handed Hanzo a tray of cupcake liners. "Time to get these in the oven."

As the two of you sat there, munching on the bizarre creations, you realized that even a fearsome fire bending ninja like Scorpion had a goofy and endearing side, one that you cherished above all else.
