the marauders fandom is the only fandom i've been in where "you can't use this trope for your pairing it belongs to *insert ship*" is a real argument people stand by.

they say 'if you want this dynamic ship blahblah instead' and they truly think they've done something
the same goes for character traits like u are aware characters can be similar in ways or share interests and quirks without 'copying' right
