Sorry if this was late but I finally got the free time to do this. So like Katy Perry’s 'smile', there’s a portion of songs that are really strong and "chart worthy". The first six tracks are what I expect in a good album, however, the other half fell short. I was hoping to get the same energy in the outro that was put into the intro. It kind of seems like they were contradicting themselves by making 'not another pop song' and then having some of the following tracks be exactly like their previous "love song" trope. In all, the theme compliments the tracks strongly and it’s a different take on love songs than their previous projects, I could say it’s a breath of fresh air and a solid rating of 6.5 for me.
It’s a sad day, y’all. When I read about her departure from the group, my heart sank. But I know she has a solid reason as to why she made this decision, people weren’t always the kindest to her, she took all this shit from trolls and press and it’s too much to deal with. I’m happy that she is making this decision to protect her mental health, which is very important for everyone!
