"Order for table 10, it's one of your regulars who tips you really well so be nice" your manager said to you and you rolled your eyes, you had an intense pain in your belly again and you felt nauseous, it happened now n then but you could never find a valid reason for it. Google searching your symptoms can only give you limited information, you can't afford to go see a doctor or go to the hospital, your insurance won't cover it because hey you don't have one. What is your life. You took the tray and walked towards the table, it's Misha, one of your regulars, she's really kind to you and tips very generously, she will be a doctor soon so her life is set.
"Hi Misha how are you today, here's your favourite caesar salad" you smile. She's one of the customers that you actually really like, she have that carefree but kind vibe about her "thank you y/n, I have had the worst day today, my new boss can be a dick sometimes" she complained and you scrunched your face "that bad huh? Well atleast you're learning something right?" You ask her and she shook her head "Only reason why I would ever tolerate an asshole like him" she chuckled and you grabbed your belly as you felt the pain again "what's wrong ?" She asked you and you didn't really want to dwell on it but you told her as she asked again "Well you know what, I would check on that but that's really not my speciality, however you can come see my boss Loki " she told you as she took the first bite of her salad
"Misha I'm grateful for the offer but I really can't afford it, also what kind of name is loki?" You chuckled and she giggled at that "I know right, you haven't heard the last name yet, laufeyson, apparently his grandfather was really into norse mythology so he named his son laufey and it continued from there" she told you and you shook your head "Norse legends? So weird"
"But hey don't worry about the money, I'll get it done pro bono, just come and get it checked" she assured and after careful consideration you agreed, only a fool would deny a free service like that, plus you were in intense pain. So, that's how you ended up in the clinic of loki laufeyson "You can't just bring charity cases here Misha, this is the second time you have done this" you heard very faint yelling and back n forth between him and Misha coming from the consultation room and you wanted to leave or run but you didn't want to offend her, she was doing you a favor, a big one. He is british and apparently an asshole. Soon after that he came out of his office and passed by you, his eyes met yours and you felt your face heating up at that. You had no idea why when you heard Misha talking about him you expected a middle aged stubby looking man, he was anything but that.
He was atleast 6'3, had neither short nor long, just in between raven dark black hair, green eyes, and a fit lean frame, in short he was very attractive, he looked like he was the Adonis himself. He pased by you and went straight to his office on the other side. Misha came out soon after and she took you to get changed, since you had abdominal pain, she wanted you to change into a hospital gown type of thing "He'll be here soon"
"Misha all this time when you complained about him, you forgot to mention how gorgeous he is?" You gave her a look and she laughed "Ewww gross, I love my ladies, so I never really noticed" she told you and you shook your head "Good looking or not, he's a major grump so, but don't worry he's nice with patients"
She left and soon after loki came in and greeted you "Hello Y/N Y/L/N, I'm loki, how are you feeling today?" He kept his eyes on the clipboard as he talked, his voice so deep and rich when you could hear him clearly "I'm good today but sometimes I get this very sharp pain in here" you gestured towards your lower belly and he looked at you. He's the most gorgeous looking man you have ever laid eyes on without a doubt and you live in LA "Can you lie down, I'm gonna have to check something" he asked you to lie down on the examination table and you did, you were extremely nervous, he was putting his gloves on and you looked at him, he was effortlessly attractive, could be one of the reasons why he had so many patients, no no absolutely not, nope don't objectify him. He worked hard to become a doctor.
"Thank you for doing this for free, I really appreciate this" you told him, you really were thankful that Misha was able to get you an appointment "Thank Misha for that, not me, it was supposed to be an off day for me" you felt awful when he said that, he must be so annoyed by this "Anyways, I'm going to press several points in your abdomen, if it hurts when I pinch let me know instantly" he told you and you just nodded in response, you felt his gloved fingers, as he pressed on the side of your belly but you felt nothing other than the mild discomfort but when he pressed two inches below your belly button towards the right side, you winced and he stopped "it hurts here?" He asked as he did it again, you nod. Your brain didn't miss how close his hands were to your intimate part.
"Come sit" he took his gloves off as he walked away and sat down on his chair. You stepped down from the chair and he wrote something on the clipboard again "Ever had a surgery?" He asked you "Appendicitis, 2 years ago" you told him and he sighed "Okay I'm writing a MRI, get it done and come back to me" he told you and you sighed, how can you afford a mri if you cannot even afford to see a doctor? "I can't afford it but thank you so much for seeing me" you told him and he finally looked at you, his eyes boaring into your soul as he did "I wasn't done yet, get it done asap, go to the Maxwell hospital and give them this, they'll do it at no cost, in the meantime I'm also writing some pills, if you feel the pain again, just take one " he gave you a note and you took it from him "I don't think that's appropriate, I don't even know you, I'll feel burdened" you passed him the note back and he looked at you.
"Just keep it, when your pain will become less bearable than your fragile ego you would consider it" okay he was an asshole, there was no denying it, his gorgeous face can't make up for that attitude. "You are very rude mister , you know what I'll keep it and show you that I don't need your mercy on me" you stormed out of the consultation room but then realised that you were just in the hospital gown so you went back again awkwardly, the smirk on his face didn't help the situation. He stepped out to allow you to get changed and then you stormed out again.
You kept the note for some reason, and as he said it did become unbearable after a few days so you went to the hospital to get your mri done like a loser. Once you got the report you went back to his office. He had so many patients today, so you had to wait like an hour to see him. When you went inside he greeted you like nothing happened last time and you were thankful for that, maybe he's not so bad afterall. He told you that you had an infected scar tissue building inside and you need to get it removed soon. A surgery? You're still under loan debt from last time, so he told you he would do it pro bono again and this time you kept your words to yourself.
"Don't be nervous, I'm very skilled with my hands, and I have years of experience" he told you,you were on the surgery table waiting for this to get done as soon as possible. Years of experience like what 5 years ? You nod your head as he smiled at you and soon you felt the darkness sweeping you in, when you woke up next he was right by your bedside, he asked how you were feeling and you said something about being drowsy, you had to be in the hospital for a week and you were surprised as to how sweet he was with you, he tended to you whenever you needed, he took care of you , and fed you and he made sure you felt comfortable while you were there, and ofcourse he paid for all of this, you were drowning in his debt.
You didn't want to fall for him, but somehow you did, well it wasn't exactly hard, combine his looks with how he treated you while you healed made you see him in a different light, you could tell he was hiding something, that behind this rude mean persona, there was a softness in him wanting to jump out and you saw the glimpses of it while you were in the hospital or so you thought you did.
"Who's the last one? Theres nobody else on appointment list" you heard him asking Misha and she said you were there to see him. He called you in and you sat down but then stood up again, maybe this wasn't a good idea. "Something wrong again y/n?" He asked you and you shook your head nervously .
"No nothing is wrong ..I just" you breathe in and he tilted his head as he looked at you. "I was just wondering weather you would want to have dinner with me sometimes or a lunch or just" you stop talking as you see his jaw clenching and he stood up abruptly. "So I give you a free service and you think I did it because I'm interested in you?"
Your eyes tear up instantly as you heard him "no i just... "
"Just don't, don't make this worse please, get out of my office, I can't deal with this right now" If there was a hole in his office somewhere you would have jumped in it, never to be seen again by anyone. You didn't think he would reject you like this , and on the top of that he was throwing you out of his office. You picked up your bag and ran so fast, first time you decided to ask a guy out and he rejected you so cruely. You would never be able to show your face again to him or misha. When you ran out Misha was concerned and she tried to stop you but you didn't listen.
It was only after you were gone is when he picked up the coffee cup he kept on his table and smashed it on the ground, he was so frustrated, his eyes tearing up. He opened his drawer and took out a picture he always kept there, he ran his thumb over the face of the woman smiling so wide as she hugged him from the side. Both of them so happy, so in love, A tear escaped his eye, and he sniffed one last time before shoving the picture back into the drawer. He picked his jacket up and came out of his office, looking like his normal stoic self, Misha looked at him as he did.
"Get that mess cleaned up for me and I never want to see her again, am I clear?"
He left to his home, he can't do this all over again.

You never in a million years thought you would be in this situation but you were used to it by now. You were simply a witch with two young children raising them all alone by the country side away from the city. Long ago you used to be an avenger fighting along side them those past years but after having kids and the whole Thanos situation you simply decided to retire from it early on. You still practiced your skills but what mattered more was taking care of your children, even though it hurted knowing their father isn't in their life anymore. He died...one of the most awful but stupidest way you wished he wasn't such an idiot.....Sometimes the others will pay you a visit sometimes , giving you supplies or gifts to your kids.
But these past days it's been lonely and quite depressing, remembering the old times and being in love. It hurted so much , sometimes shedding tears as you did task. But lately you been noticing a man in beige looking at you from a distance with what looks like thor with them? You didn't question it with too many task on hand to do and having a mischievous kid .
You would teach you oldest child how to farm and look for wild grown plants. As your youngest was in a carrier wrapped around your back you would teach them magic. Or how to do simple task sometimes just playing with them happily.
One evening you were cleaning up after your oldest as he was playing earlier and fell asleep on the couch. There was a knocking on the door, startled and confused why you simply walked over to see Thor and.....Loki? You screamed in surprised and shut the door hyperventilating as your child woke up in panic to the scream. Unsure whether to open it or not , until eventually opening it slightly to thor trying to make 'loki' come back.
"Loki! Loki! She doesn't hate you, she's just startled come back!" Thor faces you once Loki steadily walks back. "Uh miss l/n I apologize to bother you and I know this not good time but this is Loki. The other one not...not the one we know of. "
Staring at him , he looked so young, he had his shirt hair when he was captured by shield. He wasn't broken by the years yet, as you stared at him quietly your oldest walk infront of you in a protective manner, with dagger in hand. Loki's dagger to be precise, you gently put his hand down. "It's okay. Sorry he's protective of me....you should come in. " Gently picking up the boy and setting him down at the couch. As the two males sat on the dinning room table.
"so....Loki...what brings you to me?"
He stared at me , signing " I wanted to know my relationship with you, old me I supposed?" You quietly stood there " well...you were my husband and those two are your kids, old you died and never got to see them...well one he didn't know of the other one. " Loki stood there in shock " my wife?! I got married? I died? How did this happen? What happened to me?"
Thor place his hand on his shoulder "Thanos killed you, you did everything in your power to save her, keep her hidden . And you did but in the cost of your own life. "
"it's okay" you softly spoke as Loki lashed out " no! It's not okay! Your a widow now, with two kids, a single mother and I had no clue! I just....I'm sorry...I'm sorry old me couldn't help you.. I know Im not him and I will never be him. But I want to help you. I don't want them to be fatherless. Please y/n"
You stood there unsure " yes, I know you'll never be the Loki I know of...and yes I'm not okay, but I'm willing to try again and take small steps with you."

It was a beautiful starry night at Asgard a gentle cool breeze sways in the air tonight and the slight rustle of leaves an be heard as Loki was in his chambers quiet as he can be. He was working on his studies the quil in his hand moving against the parchment elegantly as the ink flow down , as he reference a book in hand he heard a quite loud thud outside. It startled him slightly as he accidentally splat ink onto the parchment leaving an obvious mark. He groans in displeasure as a flick of his finger the spot was gone, curious though he stood up from his chair looking out his window. Then an other rock hit his window , slightly confused he raised his eye brow and realized who was the culprit, walking outside leaning onto the railing of the balcony looking down a fair maiden who stood instrument in hand and a huge smile on her face.
“ well...I know the idiot who threw a rock at my window...you know dear, you can walk inside and knock on my chamber door? “ he says laughing softly as he leans on his hand smiling at her. She gasp and laughs “well there’s no fun in that is there dear? How else can I show my love to you ? “ Loki rolls his eyes “ your showing it in the most ‘romantic’ way I supposed’ he quietly gestures to her. She stood on top of a pillar and gently plays the chords before quietly singing to him and him only.

She slowly jumps towards to him , done this over and over again as she sings to him without a care in the world just madly in love with him. Her simple dress embroidered by hand with colorful flowers and soft layers of fabric over her the gold jewelry on her glimmering in the moon light. The Blue tones of the night hugging onto her as a torch light flicker an orange hue onto both of them.

Both busy with life and spending a intimate but loving moment together she knows things been rough for Loki especially with his father. But now all that didn’t matter because they had each other and she made him feel wanted , loved and validated. What’s more could he as asked from her?

You and Loki getting in trouble , playing together messing with Thor, and him teaching you magic and you discussing your love of the arts. You two were absolutely inseparable but treated each other as equals , as your brought the better parts of each other. Loki was more friendly and upbeat even if it’s only with he’s willing to dance around and sing loudly, and he helped you with your fears and made you confident to be you.

As if a puzzle they just fit perfectly against each other as they pull away to breathe both couldn’t stop smiling. She took his hands as she jumped off the railing twirling around laughing on the balcony .
Loki couldn’t be anymore happier as he place a kiss on her forehead “ come now love, it’s getting late you can rest here tonight.” She nods “oh and Loki.” He perked up as he holds her hand walking inside “yes? “
