This is an ad I found while I was browsing through a Photoplay magazine. The ad is for Song of the Flame (1930). It is a technicolor operetta that has been lost to the sands of time. Some of the vitaphone disks survive, though.

This is the worst castle prop I have ever seen. This still is from Song of the Flame, an early technicolor film that is now deemed lost. I wonder why? Did they even have castles in Russia? I thought they were into palaces. Whatever (Sigh), this movie is not known for its historical accuracy.
