The amount of collaborative effort put into this is unimaginable, and the product is breath taking. In an age where animation has become an almost solely computer generated art form, this movie is nothing short of awe inspiring. Maybe this’ll open people’s eyes- even start a trend. Maybe animation will be recognized for having the boundless potential it has. Plus, art history isn’t something the public has ever really been interested in…. I’ll admit that I never cared much for art history until recently, but historical figures have steadily become more popular in entertainment. Hamilton, the countless historical dramas on TV- all successful, but with a shortage of anything art related. Van Gogh’s life was tragic and fascinating, so for it to be told through the style of his art will attract a lot of people, and properly continue his legacy. Bless everyone involved in this 🙏🏻

Loving Vincent: The First Feature-Length Painted Animation Will Explore the Life and Death of Vincent Van Gogh
I don’t usually do this, but I just want to signal boost this kickstarter in the hopes that it might make it. This is going to be a solely oil-painted-by hand-on-stretched-canvas animation and the little previews already look pretty awesome. Film is to be made by Break Thru Films studio. This integration of fine-art and animation just looks amazing. (I personally would love to work on something like that hahaha :P)
