I am now caught up with malevolent so have some watercolours of Arthur and John. I’m really proud of John how Jon looks

Still refining both their designs so if at any point I draw art of them in the future and they don’t look like this? Whaaat nooo they’ve never changed at aaaaall (gaslighting)

Sometimes you just have to render a particularly nice panel in a comic where a character look’s especially pretty. There’s another one on the last page I want to render too but this one was a lot less difficult and didn’t have any perspective hubjub, so I did the one first and might do the other one if I’m feeling it.

Malevolent master post. I have fallen head over heels in love with this podcast and the fandom. Expect more in the future.

Working on something for these two. :3 gave Arthur the Clark Gable hair cut. He looks so dapper now. And John of course being along for the ride, tentacles and all.

Colored in Arthur and did some extra work on John. I think this came out good. Should I do a background?

Had to process the scene of Arthur getting stabbed somehow. The hurt in John’s voice is still haunting me.

Tweeking John’s design some. Giving him more humanoid parts. To show his progression.

The boys finally getting a real moment of rest. Had fun drawing sleepy John and Arthur. And I put them in a love seat, because damn it, they love each other and those things are comfy.

Colored the boys. I always feel the need to fully render each thing I do for them together. I don’t know. I tried to make John’s yellow cape more warm than Yellow’s, showing the difference between them.

Pt43 still has an iron grip on my mind, especially with how John projected himself. And I wanted to see if I could make John look scary. I think I succeeded. He loves Arthur so much, and the pain he expressed when the hag killed him was so visceral. I tried to capture that too.

Part 2 of the Rule 34 Arthur and Yellow confrontation. I’ll do a part 3 of John kicking his ass tomorrow. Don’t worry. The only thing Yellow will be eating is a knuckle sandwich.

Working on making sure my Arthur is a beanpole of a man.

As per the last post, I sketched it all out. Sorry for the scratchy quality. Only had a pen to work with. Will John get Arthur out of this? Let’s hope so.

It’s the Bastard in Yellow himself. Look at him.

Arthur getting some well earned rest after his escapades in the Larson mine. I feel like John was constantly worried that Arthur’s stitches would come undone during the night, so he would keep an eye on them, even after reaching New York.

John and Arthur reuniting after the affairs of Pt 43. I know Arthur woke up screaming, but I can only imagined the poor guy passing out again and waking up in John’s arms. I’ve also started giving John more humanoid features. Such as a torso. And now legs. He gets leg privileges now.

Also, John’s tears are yellow. Why? Because I say so! XD

More John sketches. I love whenever John just lets out an exasperated sigh. Which is such a mood. My John is starting to look like such a soft boi.

Had the sudden urge to draw Kayne. The bastard who likes to cause problems on purpose. I’m using bastard semi affectionately. This guy unsettles me to an incredible degree. Harlan did such a good job at making a character goofy, but also making them a very real threat.

Did a more detailed sketchy of Kayne. Beloved bastard man. Leave Arthur and John alone, dammit!!

I finally drew Parker. With Arthur. During their happier years. Probably after a case and the two are just relaxing. For obvious reasons, this makes me sad.

Parker, at least in my head cannon, served in the war, so he’s got scars. And wears his dog tags under his shirt out of habit as some sort of lucky charm. Want something sadder? The day Arthur gets John’d, Parker decided to finally take them off and probably give them to Arthur as a gift for their friendship and for trusting him all those years ago.

Peter Yang having a moment of introspection. Too many things to remember or forget.

Had to do a S1 John design. Made him a bit more vague.
