I understand the "I will die for you" ship dynamic, but what about the "I will not let you die, I will not let myself die- we will, at any cost, survive" kind of couple?

I have a headcannon that John, upon gaining a human body, would just get tired all the time and not want to walk anymore even though he assured Arthur he’d be fine before they left the house.
If I had a nickel for every time I was obsessed with a standard middle age white man who’s life is completely turned upside down do to a more powerful entity that they are forced to have guided them around and who constantly argue with them like a married couple…. I’d have two nickels.
Pt43 still has an iron grip on my mind, especially with how John projected himself. And I wanted to see if I could make John look scary. I think I succeeded. He loves Arthur so much, and the pain he expressed when the hag killed him was so visceral. I tried to capture that too.
John and Arthur reuniting after the affairs of Pt 43. I know Arthur woke up screaming, but I can only imagined the poor guy passing out again and waking up in John’s arms. I’ve also started giving John more humanoid features. Such as a torso. And now legs. He gets leg privileges now.
Also, John’s tears are yellow. Why? Because I say so! XD

And i fully recomend checking out old witch sleep and the good mans grace maybe its just me but i think it fits them so much, like -
