Me: I should write more stuff about Maggie, her mother and their relationship...

Also me: *has her drafts full of headcanons about Hank and Maggie*

What should I say? I just love them and their relationship together. Hank and his dad vibes are killing me. He would be such a good father to his kids! And it's so sad that we barely see any good father child relationships especially in marvel. Yeah i know we barely see any kind of parent child relationships because most of the time they're dead or whatever but with fathers it's even less. Like i can think of more sweet mother child relationships than father child relationships. (Talking mostly about the mcu cause i have barely read any comics yet but still)

The only good fathers I can think of from the top of my head are: Tony, Clint, Scott, Drax, Kamala's dad, Cassie's stepdad and T'Chaka that's it. Some would say Odin but tbh I don't think of him as a good dad especially if you think of Loki and Hela.

But mother child relationships? We got kamala's mom, Pepper, Frigga, Ramonad, Maria, Wanda, Laura Barton, Janet Van Dyne, Meredith Quill, Ying Li, Melina Vosokoff, the mom of Cassie Lang, Tony's mom, Nakia. Even Kate's mom. I know she did very bad things but you can't deny she was a good mother to Kate. I also read a little about Jubilee as mother. Not to forget aunt May! I know she's actually the aunt but she still stepped up as peter's mother and literally raised him, so I let this count.

The most father child realtionship were mostly shitty and/or absent in one way or another... And those good ones we do have are mostly cut short and they were never really able to be the dad they could have been. I mean Tony? Died when Morgan was like 4. Scott? Prison and then gone for 5 years. Drax? His child was killed and even if he would have been a good dad we never saw his relationship with his daughter not even in flashbacks or whatever. Also comic Kurt could have been such an amazing dad. But nooooo, Marvel said let's not do that and take his child away. So all we have left are Clint, Kamala's dad and T'Chaka. That's really sad.

And that's why most of the time I focus more on the father child relationships in my headcanons and stories. Because the males of marvel deserve to also be shown as good dads!

I don't care what anyone says but a good father is just as important to a child and this whole bad!dad trope is getting so annoying. Dads deserve to be shown as the good ones too! And kids deserve to have a good father in their lives.

I kinda think it's annoying when people say Hope is Cassie's mom cause she called Hank grandpa.

Like no! She isn't! Cassie already has an amazing mom, stop erasing her and pretend she doesn't exist. Hope is maybe like an aunt or a future stepmother. But she's not her mom!

I could understand if Cassie hadn't one or her mother was shitty. But that's not the case. So stop act like Hope is the only "mother" she has just because of "Wow superhero-family"! It's just not true!

Same with Kamala. Carol is not her mother and she's not going to "adopt" her. Stop acting like she doesn't has an amazing family who loves and supports her! Besides, what happened to the "Cool Mentor" trope? Or if you really want somthing family themed what about the "Cool Aunt" trope or the "Cool Big Sister" trope, that all you guys can think of is *gasp* "She's her mom now!"?

There are so much more beautiful ways to have a relationship beside parent/child.

I mean I'm not saying it's always stupid. In some cases it's really sweet and beautiful but not if the real family is getting erased and everyone acts like they don't exist and forget about them.

An example Irondad and Spiderson. That's one I think is sweet cause Peter doesn't really has a male rolemodel in the MCU and the first man who comes along and cares for him/becoms his mentor is Tony. So I can see that at least Peter would see something like a mentor/father figure in Tony cause he doesn't has someone else. Same with Harley. There was no dad. He left years ago and never came back. Or if you want America and Strange. Same situation as far as we know. At the moment we know nothing about America's parents or if their still alive (even if tbh I still prefer an mentor/uncle relationship between them but that's just my opinion).

But these are not the cases for Cassie and Kamala so I really don't get it why we should pretend Carol and Hope are the only mothers/family they have...

Okay let me get this straight!

We got aliens and space ships in Marvel, an intergalactic police and a multiverse police. We have gods and planets that can turn into humans, have babies with like every species and that can destory other planets. We have other cosmic entities shit like the phoenix force. We got cats with tentacles that are considered one of the most dangerous species, that can eat everything like a black hole and kill you with a scratch. We got flying heads in a jar, AI's that are literally alive with their own mind and feelings. We got other supernatural stuff like magic, witches, werewolfs, vampires, demons and what ever this swamp monster is. We got people that through experiments or accidents got superpowers, truned into some kind of monster, rock looking thing or into super soldiers or people who died and then came back to life. We've got dudes that were frozen in ice for multiple yeras and came back alive. We have dragons, dinosaurs, people that can talk to dinosaurs, dragons and animals, animals that can talk and act like people, walking and speaking trees and rocks, spider people, a girl that fights with squirrels, talks to them and was born with a squirrel tail, walking islands, time travles, the multiverse, infinity stones, mutants, inhumans, flying people, and people in robot suits...

We have literally everything!

But Feige draws the line at flying cars... It's flying cars where he goes "Nah dude, don't be silly! Marvel has no flying cars..." Something that Howard Stark had already worked on sometime in the 1930s or 1940s, at least in the movie…

"BUT THIS SHIT DOESN'T EXIST IN MARVEL!"

Who are you trying to kid here Feige? Honestly!

I mean he literally said that in a movie about two old guys from the 40s who are still young and kicking eachothers asses... I think flying cars would be the least weird shit in Marvel. It's more weird that after everything that was created in Marvel, there are NO flying cars! We have fucking helicarriers! <<
