Okay. so.

this fic. Honestly? It's the concept that I love. It's some of the red lifers from Double Life (aka the end? but there isn't everyone ofc.) And then somehow the dimensions of Double Life & Hermitcraft Season 7 combine, replacing their own counterparts there, like say, Red Life Grian appearing and Hermitcraft Grian being nowhere to be seen (aka disappearing for like a few weeks or something)

There aren't any two red lifers I think that are paired, like Red Life Grian is there without his Scar, Martyn without his Cleo, Joel (even tho he isnt a Hermit) without his Etho, etc etc

It's.. interesting.

The Red Lifers having this sort of urge, and absolute love of murder and chaos is just, YES, not to mention Pearl kinda being the one to instigate that by reminding of the THRILL of killing.

Also how the Red Lifers can hear assumedly the watchers? Like voices in their head. Who wouldn't go insane? (There's something too possibly about Pearl having heard them since she was green too but I won't go into that)

And then there's also the factor that Pearl's probably always on edge? I mean, well, she's the hermit counterpart of her soulmate duo. Scott is in Empires, not Hermitcraft. Also Tilly's gone, sobs.

I think she's the only one who doesn't have a hermit version of their soulmate ngl

But so they're just kinda.. causing a little bit of chaos, while finding someone who apparently knows of the Double Lifers and about their soulmates and such- I won't go into too much detail besides just providing little things here because I don't want to spoil it, but it's kinda looking promising.

And theres so many little details thatd probably make so much more sense by the second read- it catches you off guard (but excuse me holy shit that ending???) But then by the second read you just probably notice all these little details that make so much more sense and actually mean so much more then what it first seemed as

ALSO the first letters of every chapter spelling out the quote 'The Universal Language Is Violence' ????

theres so much worldbuilding its insane. its all really elaborate and i really like it (and it also includes a bunch of ppl from different SMPs. theres DSMP, QSMP, Empires, WitchCraft (yknow the one with nercromancer scott), and also others im not too familiar with)

do note that this is only his CHILDHOOD (basically the part of his life until the start of the book that the world is based on, aka before protag of that book appears. ranboo will appear in the next work)

its not boring theres so much shit that happens and also stuff thats setting a lot of things for the future.

i really appreciated it. and i really think you should give it a shot too maybe potentially possibly????

it can kind of get complicated (theres so many terms that i dont really know the difference of. but it also has some inspiration from genshin, and i assume honkai too but i didnt read all the notes because i was too invested in the story so oops)

anyway. you might disapprove because there are characters who their real life counterpart has been involved in.. controversies..

or you might not be a part of this fandom anymore, which good for you

for me, i always view them as separate from whoever plays them (so this means i can still appreciate a character even if like their actor was an asshole yknow? i get that thats a complicated debate in and of itself though)

but i wouldnt recommend if you dont want to even interact with anything related to that kind of stuff since there is wilbur (i havent been keeping up with whos controversial, i just knew wilbur's cause he was one of my favorites and i liked his music. unfortunately.)

there is also shubble. and they are friends. (and this was written BEFORE the controversy even came out so errr)

so uh. yeah. if you dont wanna deal with that thats fine but uh

i havent really been following any of the other mentioned creators enough to tell if theres any other controversy related to them that i should warn you about so uh. be warned.

mcyt fics are crazy because you’ll be reading the most devastating, distressing, life-altering angst and the character will be named mumbo jumbo.
