Since it's the 9th anniversary for undertale I wanted to ask, would you be interested in me drawing Aph and Miguel as Asgore and Toriel? If there's not much interest I will just make it for myself :3
How difficult was Miguel to animate? I read somewhere that he is 6’9 and over 300 pounds haha what a beast. Were there any specific things to take note of when it came to animating him? It’s insane how through his movements he just exudes power and strength. Even the way he walks just makes him seem like a guy not to messed with. Did his frame hinder anything in animation that would not occur on the smaller models?
miguel was SUPER FUN i loved animating him!! i feel like a lot of 3D animation defaults to super skinny characters that are basically just tubes, so it's fun to work with a character that lets you design the shapes into something more graphic
we had to think a lot about how someone that big moved, but also how they carry themselves when just standing and talking. we referenced idris elba:
when a person has very well defined and built up chest muscles, their shoulders tend to be pulled forward. i did some posture tests early on to help out with finding a good slumped but still powerful, natural standing pose
a lot of tweaking had to be done too whenever he was doing any kind of dynamic action because of how defined his muscles are, extreme poses tended to get off model pretty quickly. here's an example with one of the shots that i animated, i tried to recreate what his model looked like without any shaping adjustments:
i wanna give a special shout out to eric de carolis, who animated a lot of fantastic miguel swagger, he really helped set the bar for how we should handle miguel's massive everything when walking. he animated this shot:
so, yes! there was a lot that went into finding his character through movement and it's always a challenge to animate subtleties on someone this big while still making them feel heavy

After a nightmare all about your deepest insecurities, Miguel is quick to comfort you.
In other words: I was having fun reading a filthy as fudge Miguel O’Hara fic, and all of a sudden, literary SUBDROP hit me in the face like Peter Porker had just pulled an anvil out of nowhere. SO--this short little blurb is for all my fellow Miguel O’Hara simps who need something soft to follow up that kinky shit. Not quite aftercare, but a whole--“you exist as a human being outside of sex” sort of thing. Especially when that sort of “post-nut/fic” clarity hits and you need some love. So yeah!-- love y’all.

His palm presses down harshly between your shoulder blades, forcing your face into the mattress while his free hand bruises your hip.
“This is all you’re good for–” he whispers– “and to think you’re not even that pretty.”
To say that you were innocent would be a lie, but to say that you could take little blows like that on a high without realizing how much the doubt built up would be doubly so. And while your Miguel never degraded you like that–would never even dare to go near such a thing–the insecurities had built up. The dam overflowed.
It’s what made you wake up in the middle of the night, gasping for air, imaginary hands on your neck lingering in the cool dark shadows.
“Mm… mi cariño? Por favor–what’s wrong?”
Miguel’s voice comes out as a mumble, muddled with sleep. And yet, his arm, formerly rested across your waist with lazy affection, is still strong as it pulls you into his chest. His face now nuzzled into the crook of your neck.
“Bad dream,” you answer in return. “It’s nothing… Go back to sleep.”
But he feels the way your body is stiff against his, and the way your chest rises and falls in the wake of frantic pain. He doesn’t believe you.
“I won’t until I know you’re okay. So don’t tell me it’s nothing.”
His voice is clearer now that his concern has further awakened him. But you don’t respond right away – unsure of how to do so. It was a nightmare, you tell yourself. A fear from past trauma and situationships and exes that shouldn’t – and wouldn’t – apply now. You tell yourself he loves you. Miguel loves you. You know you do.
And yet, your brain doesn’t trust him. Refuses to. He’s too good to be true.
You overthink so much that your words don’t come out natural.
“I– I just… You– you love me, right?”
As you glance up at him, hands on his chest, you see Miguel’s soft expression harden. It almost makes you flinch: you’ve seen so many faces before that it’s hard to distinguish different types of stress. Or more like your own stress keeps you from determining his exact mood. So much so that, for a moment, you think he’ll answer no–
–but better than a yes–
–he sighs and presses his forehead against yours. Lets you feel small and safe and vulnerable all at once. In a way that you let him. And he traces the tips of his fingers down the side of your face–not quite cupping it, but brushing strands of your hair away.
“When I call you mi vida, mi amor, mi corazón – I don’t mean that you’re the love of my life. I mean that you are my heart in its entirety.” He gathers up your hands in his and presses a kiss to your knuckles. “That I am yours as much as you are mine.”
It’s his kindness that makes you break.
“I-I’m sorry. I don’t know why I’m like this. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I just– I trust you– I swear I do. But a part of me just nags that you don’t really want me. That all I do is annoy you. That I’m not enough and never will be–”
Miguel doesn’t say anything to halt your rants. He knows you need this moment to vent, and as such, does nothing but shush you gently as he sits upright and holds you in his lap. Once your cries quiet down, he wipes away your tears with his thumb, places a kiss to your forehead. All that, and more.
And seeing you pout, he gives you this half-soft, half-teasing smile.
“... Do you need me to praise you? I’ve got a lot of those up my sleeve, you know.”
You can feel how puffy your eyes are right now. Hell, you can feel all the side-effects of ugly crying–snotty nose, congested throat, raw skin. But Miguel doesn’t seem to care as you come to nod, only complying with what you need, and speaking gently as though singing a lullaby.
“Alright, then. You’re a good girl, you know. No–the best girl. I know you try your best in everything, but when it gets hard and you just want to exist for a bit, that’s okay, too. And have I mentioned how pretty you are? Ay por Dios, the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen. The smartest, too. She’s got me like a fool on a leash. Imagine that…”
You can feel sleep take you once again as he speaks. And you can feel the way he moves your shared blanket over your shoulders as your eyelids droop.
What you don’t hear is how he ends his little speech, long after consciousness has departed.
“And you’ll never believe how much I love her. Like I’m holding the world in my arms.”

Yes, I know Toriel and Asgore are not together in Undertale (Atleast not anymore) but Aph and Miguel fit them too much not to draw them as those two :3
Originally was gonna make the little ears white like both Toriel and Asgore but decided that it was better to match their hair.
Also I'm so fucking sad that I had to erase Miguel's and Aph's bodies because of the cape and dress it looked so good I even saved the sketch in another canvas.

Aph and Miguel Lore About Their Future Kids
I saw an object in the Sims and I'm making it everyone's problem

First of all this was already a planned part of Aph and Miguel's lore I just hadn't thought of explaining until right now.
So I have a Sims household with Aph, Miguel, Didi and three kids yall are yet to meet because I'm so picky I can never draw them how I invision them.
The oldest, Minerva, middle child, Javier and youngest, Mateo.
So I was decorating Aph and Miguel's room in this household when I come across a very specific item that melts my heart and also hurts my soul because of lore reasons.
I was gonna add a picture of said object but couldn't find a screenshot ANYWHERE.
It's basically a shadowbox of baby shoes that go from like really small baby to toddler to little kid.
And my immediate reaction is I SHOULD ADD THIS BECAUSE THEY APPRECIATE THEIR BABIES SO MUCH :]

So I'll explain a little about Aph and Miguel and their problems having kids.
First of all Aph has a magical injury/scientific injury inflicted by the green goblin of her universe that isn't the main problem BUT IT DEFINITELY ISN'T HELPING AND MAKING THEIR PROBLEMS WAY WORSE.
Second and the main issue, basically both their DNAs are fucked in opposite ways.
The best way to explain it is using chocoflan as an example.
Both of them were already chocoflan before transforming into spiderpeople.
For Aph the chocolate part stayed the same while the flan part was changed.
For Miguel the flan part stayed the same while the chocolate part was changed.
So they are both still human but on opposite sides if that makes sense which makes it very improbable for them to have children.
How do they find this out? Why does this affect Aph so much?
Aph already had this notion of Miguel not wanting kids because of Gabi, she wasn't sure, she just assumed but she was already mentally prepared on not having children with him aside from her adopting Didi after they married and for the most part she was ok with that.
Until they finally talked about it.
Miguel alluding that he maybe would want kids and Aph being completely fucking gobsmacked because hell she was prepared to leave her dream of having a big family just for him.
But that reignited that dream.
And that dream was gone the next moment as they find out this hard truth, they had been trying to conceive with no luck when finally they decided to get checked out and that's when they find out about this and Aph is completely heartbroken.
Me and IRL Didi were talking about this and she posed a very good question "Why is Aph being stubborn about having biological children when she already adopted Didi? Wouldn't she ok with adopting more kids?"
And this is the answer, she would be ok with it, but at the time, her dream of being a mom had been reignited, she thought she wouldn't even have one because she had assumed Miguel wouldn't want them, so of course after having that dream rekindled, finding this out broke her heart.
But this isn't a sad story, I couldn't do that to them :'3
Originally they would only have Minerva because of this, but then I created Javier in an AU and the IRL Didi and Nico got attached and then I created Mateo in another AU and I got attached.
So here you get how the fuck that happened.
First one being Minerva, their miracle baby, they didn't think they could even have one and she arrived as a surprise one year after they got married, so much of a surprise that when Aph did the pregnancy test she just looked at it went "No" and threw it in the trash.
It wasn't until Miguel found the test, had a freak out thinking it was Didi's and almost had a heart attack that he put two and two together and found out it was Aph's.
Between Minerva and Javier they had another one but it didn't last long, they don't talk about it much it's a sore spot between them both, though they both still remember and grieved together when it happened, Aph bought a pair of baby shoes that she keeps as a memento for what never was, to honor them, whoever they could've been or were.
For Javier, he was basically an experiment of Didi's.
So basically Miguel and Aph had a talk regretting that they couldn't have more children, at least in my AU both of them want a big family, so Miguel tells Didi and they decide to play mad scientist and fuck around with Miguel's genetics again, he's already part spider what could be worse?
And fuck around and find out they do because quickly after, four years after Minerva, Javier is born.
And lastly but not least since he is my favorite, Mateo, Mateo was basically an after product of whatever the fuck Didi and Miguel did to Miguel's body because he is born SIX YEARS after his older brother, TEN YEARS difference with his older sister.
By then Aph finally has enough and both her and Miguel decide to be more proactive when it comes to contraception because holy shit all their babies were kind of planned surprises (except Mateo he was full on a surprise LMAO) and plus they are getting older (Miguel is 46 when Mateo is born) having another baby IS NOT something they want anymore at all because of Aph's health and because they don't want to have a kid and not be able to give them their best self.
They are EXTREMELY cautious when Aph is pregnant during all her pregnancies because again, they didn't think they would have one, three is incredibly miraculous for them.
Minerva was the one that generated them so much anxiety because she was the first one, the first baby they were both going to have so being first time parents to a baby was incredibly stressful for both of them, it didn't help that Minerva decided to take on Miguel's genes and be fucking huge.
Javier was the one that gave them anxiety but instead because he was such a complicated pregnancy and furthermore was a sickly baby and toddler so Miguel and Aph really couldn't catch a break here, also was born like two weeks early and really freaking small, so yeah, Javier will forever be the troublemaker even in this aspect.
Mateo was the only one they could kind of enjoy since this wasn't their first rodeo and he was a very calm pregnancy, they could simply take it slow and be able to enjoy it more, they were still cautious just in case though!
But at the end of the day, no matter how much they struggled and stressed and sobbed, they finally have their babies and oh do they appreciate them so fucking much.
Fun Facts About The Kids
★Minerva was originally named Marianne as a play in the name Mary Jane but I felt like it didn't fit her so it got changed.
★Javier is named that because it rhymes with Gabriel (Miguel's brother) and they both have kind of similar nicknames (Javi and Gabi)
★Mateo was a name that they recycled from naming Minerva, this was gonna be her name if she was a boy.
★Javier is the shortest of ALL the kids including Didi.
★The order of height with the O'Hara-Stellas goes Miguel, Minerva, Mateo, Didi, Javier and Aph.
★Minerva despite being an extremely muscular girl LOVES dressing girly, adores it, would steal Aph's clothes if she wasn't as tall as she is.
★Javier has some of Didi's powers because of a lab accident, Aph and Miguel both were completely freaked out because again he has always been the most sickly from all the siblings.
★Mateo is the closest in appearance to Aph, while the other two look like carbon copies of Miguel with features of Aph's, Mateo is mostly her.
★Minerva is Mayday's girlfriend in my AU :3
★Javier loves science like his dad and Didi, definitely wants to be like them when he grows up.
★Mateo didn't want to be a hero like the rest of his family until way later, in that way he fits the Peter Parker archetype more then the rest of his family.
★Aph chose all the kid's names, that's what Miguel wanted and he only gave his opinion when asked directly if he liked or disliked a name.
★Aph calls all the siblings her estrellitas, because if her and Miguel are la luna y el sol, then their children are the stars.
★Miguel is the parent that they call when they are sick, Aph is the parent that they call when they are scared, for example if one of the kids threw up its Miguel they want for help but if they think they saw el coco or they had a nightmare they go to Aph.
★All the siblings prefer Miguel's cooking, Aph understands why.

I just bought a whole bunch of Miguel merch unexpectedly (RIP my wallet) would anyone like to see the haul? Originally I was gonna only get one thing but I didn't expect the AMOUNT of Miguel merch I was gonna find

First of all and the reason I actually wanted to go to the mall/stores
The Miguel Funko Pop! The store I went to had this plastic protective cases and I grabbed a normal one and a bloodied one! (The bloodied one is my favorite it's awesome for Miguel but I would maybe turn it around so there's less splatters on him)
The unexpected one number two! Or should I say two, three, four, five and six?
The whole dark genesis collection! They had them all in a bag and were pretty cheap so I joinked it (They also had spiderverse and the newest one that I can't remember the name of but it's the one where moon knight is in it and Miguel fights Dracula and shit that one, decided to only buy this ones though)
And finally, the one that surprised me the most because we were going to a record store
MIGUEL ACRYLIC CHARM I was so happy with this one because the little clip thing is a star and it's giving Aph
Also for any mystic messenger fan lingering here I bought honey butter chips and holy shit I get 707 now

🍁 Halloween!Miguel O’Hara Headcanons 🎃
A lil context on how I think Halloween works in nueva before we get started: since everyone lives in apartments there is no going door to door in Nueva, so block parties are thrown instead. You can stay at the block party or just grab some candy from the candy bowls on tables set up and move along
👻 Works overtime throughout October to make sure the kids can have a safe Halloween
👻 he will usually bring out a bowl of candy with a sign of take one on it
👻 he will usually go back to his apartment and sleep, sometimes he stays to handout candy but it’s very rarely
👻 will keep Lyla on red alert for crime just incase
👻 because of the noise from the block parties Gabi will scream and cry…more than she normally does, so sleeping might not be an option
👻 Miguel likes to give his 3-month old Gabi, applesauce instead of candy. he is very determined to keep her healthy
👻 will yell at everyone to go to bed if the block party goes on for to long
👻 would prefer to sleep in the next day, but he sleeps when Gabi sleeps
