Regardless of whether or not things are that b&w (or 2D as my northern neighbour would call it) as to have all cops or law workers be shady, the tips above are important & can save your life if you live in the US or a similar system. Wherever you live, please find the closest equivalent to the Miranda Rights if anything like that exists even when travelling abroad to try to avoid arbitrary arrests (more common than ye think, abroad or not). This can save your record & possibly your life, so take the rights to exercise them into heart. Please keep in mind that it's just as important to learn the rules when travelling abroad to minimise & especially keep your criminal record clean (which again, can prevent you from going to some places if you have any offenses, especially if related to certain cases such as drug based ones).
