My first animation has been completed! My little blorbo now moves! Hair goes floof
This is going to be her combat idle for the Darkest Dungeon mod I'm making.
She looks frustrated because she doesn't like positioning and would rather just do the big flashy movements of her ballet style. To those who don't know, ballet positioning is basically your starting point before you do the moves. Every move in ballet starts and ends with these positions, hence their importance. Of course, Maribelle doesn't really understand that, she just knows that she needs to do it. Her positioning is also incorrect and it is a combination of 1st position and 5th, just to show she isn't a master at the traditional way of ballet. But she balls regardless.
The program I used is Spine 2D
Finished the weapon art for my Doll mod for Darkest Dungeon. Been doing one every day. Hopefully I can keep the momentum to get a finished mod.
Weapon advancements follow a tradition of the first being a monochrome version of the second, then it gets progressively less dingy and more cool.
Personally I think I cooked with the 2nd and 4th. The last isn't my favorite, I like the Saif, and the threaded canes forming a DNA strand is a good idea, but the execution wasn't fully there for me. I'm happy with it regardless.
As for why it is like that, I took heavy inspiration from the Bloodstone Shards from Bloodborne, because you know, Bloodborne weapons, and I always wanted to see how your weapons mutate as you upgrade them, but no one ever drew that. So I did.
By 4, her Beasthunter's Saif's blade gets replaced with Bloodstone Chunks, and the threaded canes' blades get mutated into Bloodstone Shards.
By 5, the Saif becomes a Blood Rock, and the DNA webbing inside becomes the blade.
So yeah, end statement.
