The day I shaved my head to get into the role as ‘eleven’ was the most empowering moment of my life. The last strand of hair cut off was the moment my whole face was on show and I couldn’t hide behind my hair like I used to. As I looked in the mirror I realised I had one job to do. Inspire. ~Millie Bobby Brown
Such and inspiration, you show us that no matter if you may have long hair or none hair at all. You will always be pretty, keep going and do your thing. Nobody can stop you, show the world that you are more than meets the eye.
When someone tell you “you can’t do it”
Look them in the eyes and say “watch me” then walk away and show them you can.

Poly!Runaan X Ethari X Reader — if you don't like, then don't read.

You sit cross legged in front of the fire, hands curled around the warm mug—worry clouding your mind. A part of you is unsure of Runaan, worried for Rayla, and nervous as you glance over at Ethari. He is hunched over his work bench; yet, as soon as he sees you look away from his peripheral—Ethari glances at you. A silent plead that you're okay. Then he gets back to his own work and you go back to staring at the fire, you used to joke to Runaan that the fire danced. But it doesn't dance, it strikes a cold fear to your blood—runs cold and chills the air, all while making you warmer than you've ever been. That's how you'd describe your relationship with Ethari when Runaan left for these missions, weeks would go by and you'd barely say a word. Both too quiet to break the silence, and too worried about Runaan to ever part.
Runaan was always the connection between you both, and it was him that suggested bringing you into their marriage. Who asked you to stay. But with Ethari, he was damn near impossible to get close to. Always stuck at arms length when it came to him, not that you held him any closer at first. Close, but never close enough to hurt if the other was hurting. That was when Runaan approached Ethari with the unexpected, he had fallen for you. Not on purpose, and not all at once, but slowly over time. Not like he woke up and knew that he needed you too, in his arms and bed, and with him. It had started with archery, and then you teaching him how to cook and bake.
At first, Ethari had wanted to say no and he did, explaining his reasoning to his husband who simply nodded and remained your friend. However, friends can't love friends forever—at some point, there is a threshold and there's no going back. You went to Ethari, whose eyes widened with shock at your confession. You explained that you had no intention of ever acting on your feelings and that you planned to leave as soon as possible. You wanted him to know that you weren't the bad guy, because you admired Ethari. You were open and honest about your feelings, and that you never intentionally meant to make Ethari uncomfortable. He simply nodded, never saying a word—you were kind with his heart, and gracious with your admittance. So Ethari, with great hesitance, told Runaan that night that he had his blessing. That he too would try. It was by far one of the hardest decisions he made, but now, looking back—Ethari would make that choice again and again. He appreciates you more than he ever intended to.
That was the day Ethari realized his biggest mistake was thinking you were out to take Runaan away, and when he smiled at you when you showed up the next afternoon, your heart skipped a beat.
Ethari shuts his book roughly and looks at you: "If you are going to continue to stare, you might as well come sit with me." You hadn't even realized you were staring until he said something, but then again, you stared at him a lot. You wondered if he knew that too. Maybe it meant something. Runaan seemed to think so, he mentioned it time and time again when Ethari vented about how you barely paid him any mind. "They stare at you like you are the sun and stars." Runaan was never wrong.
He was the glue of it all, the whole dynamic—he would hold you both close, resting a hand on Ethari's back and your palm folded into his other hand. He was proud to love you both, in public and in private. But you and Ethari were never physical with each other. You shared small smiles and brief comforting glances, but the kind of moments that no one outside of the trio would notice. You would bake his favorite pastries and leave them at his work desk. He would build your kitchen to work seamlessly, designing features you never even considered possible. You kissed his shoulder in comfort, just like you did Runaan before leaving rooms. He would watch your hands closely for any sign of discomfort, knowing you hated attention. Especially unwanted attention.
It wasn't that you didn't care for one another, it was the fact that you never needed to be closer than that. He would hear something broken, or you'd break something accidentally, but you'd wake up to it fixed. He was just good at those things, at knowing. Neither of you were quick to initiate things, but too stubborn to not fall in love. Quietly, because for you both, Runaan always knew. But now he's gone.
You were just two elves stuck in Xadia, while Runaan was a realm away. Just two elves unsure if they even know how to love each other.
Slowly, painfully out rise to your feet and walk towards him, steps short and hesitant. Palms still wrapped around the mug: "I just-" You whisper, but don't finish as you take a seat next to him. He just smiles sadly, he's always been like this so calm and collected.
"I know." You lean your head on his shoulder as he continues to work, a wordless agreement to be there for each other. A silence that he does not break for two long minutes, your eyes shut as you listen to the quiet nuances of him working. "I resented you for letting Runaan love you." You wanted to be shocked at the sudden admission, but you knew all along—you knew from the day you visited for the first time that Ethari was angry with you. His longtime husband wanted more or at least that's how it seemed, and you happened to be that. "But you brought balance to our relationship. You didn't take anything away, only brought more." His words are tentative at first, which makes you more nervous, but he is easily calm. He seem like he has put a lot of thought into it and he probably has— that's Ethari for you. His brain never shuts off, it just goes until he lets it out or until he can't think about it anymore.
"You are just as adventurous as Runaan, but as calm as I am. Good to have when things get tough." He hums and you scoot closer, just listening to his words as they warm you. He is able to warm you with only his voice, soft dulcet tones that are not meant to hurt. "You have been kind to me." Ethari finally brings himself to look at you, he is soft and kind—his smile drifting off, which causes your eyebrows to furrow. "Much kinder than I have been to you." To hear him say it... It puts a lot into perspective because you had tried so hard to not let it get to you. Argue that he could care less about you, even when Runaan argued otherwise. That was the only time you and Runaan ever argued.
"But in these last months, I realized something very real— that in the years since you joined us... I have fallen in love with you." Your eyes widen, die he mean it? Could Ethari have loved you? Your mouth opens and you place the mug on the table; sometimes, you wondered. You thought maybe, but to hear it means something else entirely. You go to speak, but he raises his hand and you go quiet. Ethari embraces your hands, one would think that his hands would be rough, but they're not. They're just as soft as his gaze, his eyes hold no judgement. No condemnation. "Let me finish."
You nod. "I don't need you to love me back, because I can't ask that of you." He pauses, "But I do need you here." His eyes have misted over. "With Runaan gone. I thought I needed my partner, but I want you both. I need you both." Have a little faith, given a little time, it has finally reached this point. Got you both here. "When I think about it— I've loved you for quite sometime, but now—" He smiles, kind and sad. But genuine. "Now I know." You hesitate, your heart beating faster than your mind can process. So you kiss him. You don't have to think about that because you like kissing him. So when he kisses back. You let the warmth wash over you.
To not be alone is the best feeling—you both missing him, being enough to bring you together.
Keep in mind, this is not meant to be a 100% realistic approach to a Poly relationship. This is fiction.
