Hey, what's one fic you loved writing and the first fic you think of (can be written by you or someone else) when someone asks for recs?

Ooooh this is a good question, anon! I love every fic I write in one way or another, but I think I'd say This Momentary Blue. It's heart-achy, smutty, sad, and ultimately hopeful. Also laden with heavy metaphors. Everything I enjoy writing. I also really relished the chance to give Felix dimensions that he never had. It was one of the more difficult stories for me to write. I was very nervous about it, but I love it more for that.

The first fic I think of when someone asks for recommendations, is Don't Disappoint Me by ThroughTheJunoBush. Not because she's my friend, but because I think it was the first longfic I read in the fandom and it was stunningly beautiful. Poetic. Full of yearning and heartache. And it did the impossible. It made me root for Noah. A feat you cannot begin to understand. I love the gentle way she held every character. And even though Bobby was definitely not the good guy, even he was given his space to finally understand what he'd done and to accept that he couldn't get back what he'd thrown away. I literally just popped back into it to read a little of the end and my eyes are wet and my heart is aching. It's truly one of the most beautiful fics I've ever read.
