what’s going on in the SKAM fandom? why are people being so harsh and negative and just down right disrespectful?? within the span of literally months, so many fic writers have voiced their concerns about the hate comments and negativity, and a lot of them have stopped writing or dropped their fics. i’m actually so upset and disappointed right now. i’ve been in and out of several fandoms throughout the years and this is the first time i’ve felt unsafe and scared, not only for myself, but other people in it. 

as a writer my self, there’s nothing more discouraging and sad than people leaving negative comments, threats, harassment, etc. PLEASE STOP. i don’t know how many times this needs to be repeated - it’s so much easier to stop reading something because you don’t like it than taking the energy to type out something hateful. 

behind an ao3 account is a person - who has to deal with their own lives and personal matters. they have taken the time out of their schedule, no matter how busy it is, to craft beautiful stories to keep the fandom going. y’all are always complaining the SKAM fandom dwindling and dying out, but writers are some of those people alongside many other types of creators that’s holding up this wonderful world we fell in love with. so please. stop hurting those who are making so many readers happy with their words. 

i was unaware of this until a school friend showed up silent and handed me a card.

I’d like to take the rest of today (or everyday if need be.) to be quiet for all the queer children and adults affected by queer hate/phobia.

I cannot take the vow today, but I hope some do, but regardless spread the “word,” and don’t forget all our siblings we’ve lost and the ones we still have.

Just think about it...

“the Bible says homosexuality is a sin” well the Bible also has a lot of sexism, rape, incest, violence and a lot of contradictory messages in general because it was written by people and people have agendas

I don’t really think that God even has the time to care about if people are gay like if he’s got a whole world to run there are more important things anyway

And if God is love, he’s not just loving me if I am what he wants; he’s loving me as the person he made me to be, which is a queer person

You can’t say “I love you, and I made you gay but I’m sending you to hell you awful sinner” my dude that doesn’t make sense it’s not like hell has a low population is it

The god I believe in loves queer people because that’s how he made us

First of all: fanfiction is about a writer training. Sometimes, writers take an inspiration to start something. Sometimes, theories are based on what could happen.

Second: Nobody is throwing shit at Robin. If you guys read a little, you'll see the imagines/hcs mentioning Robin having a girlfriend/female date.

Third: Maybe, a young girl identifies with Robin's personality and she must knows that liking a girl doesn't mean she is lesbian and tomorrow she might fall in love and identify as a bi, pan or literally WHATEVER.

Also: It's okay to shipp straight x straight, gay × gay, bc once you imagine, the characther is yours, you can even create a all new thing from it.

Remember: When you shipp a couple, they can or cannot get together. What you think romantic is up to you.

Most important: Why would you throw hate at people who are being totally clear about their respect over Robin or any other LBGT character?

Pls, calm down. People just need to put their creativity out. In the end, Robin will be what she is and nobody here can change that.

I don't mean to offend, I just don't see a point at fighting over this and/or making writers confused and bad about what they've created. Hope everyone enjoys this incredible character.
