hi ive been wanting to post these photos for like 2 or 3 months bc i cant believe i caught it on camera! cardinal got cowbirded...

Random non drawing but A CARDINALLL they're so pretty!
Look at this lil' goober of a bird. This was inspired by seeing a fledgling cardinal taking its first flight—er, first hops—around the front yard that morning! It's so funny how they look at such a young age.
Thing for someone
Male cardinals are beginning to look brighter and brighter, the closer we come to spring. Healthy males are newly molted, with bright new feathers.
Soon, pair-bonded males will start mating rituals with their long-term mates, while young, single males will compete to find a life-long companion.
Northern Cardinals are especially monogamous. They are never too far away from each other.
