So a strategy i’ve been deploying in Go Battles is to make my type combos move in a triangle, and based on the damage type they deal rather than the pokemon typing itself. For example: I am currently running Noibat, Pikachu, and Golett. Flying is strong against ground. Ground is strong against Electric. Electric is strong against flying.
This strategy has greatly improved my win rate, either that or its confirmation bias.
Alternate Starter Type triangles i would like to see
Psychic, Fighting, Dark
Psychic, Poison, Fairy
Steel, Fairy, Fighting
My bf pranked me while playing Cobblemon. I found a popplio but didnt have any pokeballs so he offered to catch it. Once he did i said “yay thanks babe” to which he went “Nope He’s mine. I caught him.”

I made a post a while back about doing a poll based OC creation on this blog as a little side thing. I’ve been tinkering with my ideas and I have created a list of 5 factors for us to determine for this character. Most of which will be on tumblr, but for more personalization based polls like hair color and clothing style will be made on a separate website that allows for customized options.
They are as follows,
Region (1 of the 9 Mainline Regions. I feel like this is self-explanatory.)
Starter (I want the starter poll to have a little aspect of psuedo randomness to it. In Poll 2 I will simply ask to pick a starter TYPE and not a specific starter. Hypothetically y’all could reblog it with the region in the tags to help sway people towards the starter you want OR simply reblog it tagless and let your followers pick blindly. The choice is ultimately up to you.)
Hair Color (Will be hosted on alternate site, I have prepared a list of 20 options which i tried to make as diverse as possible. Including Natural and Technicolored/Dyed hair.)
Pronouns (Tumblr hosted poll. I know there are a lot of neopronouns that could be included into this but I’d rather keep things relatively simple and limit it to 5 options. He, She, They, Xe, & It.)
Hat (Alt Site based poll. Every protag trainer needs a cool head accessory, it’s kinda part of the deal. So once again I have made a list of 20 different styles of hats. Admittedly I don’t know fashion so i scrounged the internet for a solid 2 hours last night studying hats.)
Once we get through these polls I’ll see how we feel about continuing this project. But for now, stay tuned and stay training! 👍

Oh shit, the hair color poll has a tie for first place! In the event of a final tie i suggest they have two-toned hair.
I’ve gotten some good suggestions for more poll topics and here is what I think I’ll do:
Hometown: 2 part tumblr based poll. First one deciding whether they are from a Town or City. The Second narrows it down further to which town/city that is.
Other pokemon: depending on what town/city we choose to start in, I’ll take a look at the wild pokemon in that area and make a poll of which ones they should catch. I think for this one I’ll go with the first AND second place winners.
Age I’m not sure how i would do, either do age ranges like Sims (youngster, teen, YA, adult, elder), or since tumblr allows for 12 options we could do ages 10-22, but i think that could be so specific it would kinda be moot. Willing to hear feedback on this one.
Nature: there are lots of natures so i think this one will have to be another offsite poll. This was a very good suggestion!! Thank you to everyone who suggested this.

Despite my voting for Anville, the one issue that comes with it is that it has no connecting routes. So if Anville ends up winning we may have to brainstorm a new method for picking their other pokemon.

Yes and No... haha sorry not give you a precise answer but I don't really look at the responses in the way I think you're asking. I've spent too many years analyzing data to take very much if it at face value. I can use the same metrics to tell completely opposite stories and especially with the sample size size here being so small, it's really hard to draw any actual conclusions.
But goodness sakes, y'all confuse the heck outta me sometimes. The polls that I think are going to get a lot of responses/engagement do mediocre and then some just take off. The only thing I think I've figured out that y'all absolutely love the choose-the-member ones. Which is fine, I'm happy to provide more if that's what y'all want but I sometimes have a hard time finding gifs for them. I have been searching for months to complete the rest of the 'which member do you associate with each colour' polls but the tumblr search absolutely sucks for finding this type of content! I refuse to use gifs here that i can't attribute to someone if I didn't make it myself so that's been the hold up on those. If anyone finds good gifs of the members all dressed in a singular colour, please tag me in it!
(And quietly to myself, I am a little surprised how many are responding that they don't know what SUGA stands for. There's nothing wrong with not knowing, I absolutely don't think fandom should actually be treated like a job but I thought this particular fact was common BTS knowledge. I'm also somewhat satisfied with myself for creating the question this way. I think if I had just asked if you knew what it stood for, ppl would have been more likely to look it up if they didn't before answering so we wouldn't get as many results...but that's just a theory)
