Propaganda for the Thousand Sunny : Franky the master shipwright dreamed of building the ultimate ship for years and this was it.

Description for the Grand Terry : Customizable ship

Propaganda for the Grand Terry : In Octopath Traveler 2 you are able to purchase a ship from Terry, a young woman who learned the art of ship construction from a renowned master of the craft. Unfortunately she can’t see the worth in her own work, since every customer has just been disappointed that they were just speaking to his student and that the actual master has died, not trusting Terry to be able to build good ships.

In comes Partitio, and merchant and the absolute nicest person on this earth. He convinces Terry to sell him the ship she was currently building and in which she already lost all hope. After she agreed to finish the ship and leave it to Partitio, and after Partitio even names the ship after her, she found new motivation to keep building ships and to become just as good if not better than her master.

not a proper "interest check", but just a small announcement!

Sometime later this year... I want to organize a project involving the fan artist community of Octopath Traveler!

It's going to be a big project, so I will need a lot of artists.

I don't want to go into full detail yet as I do not have things organized at all, but I just wanted to get this part out of the way.

I'm no veteran at hosting projects, but the idea I have is something I've wanted to do for years now, but I can't do it alone, so I need a lot of help. I know I can manage to host this idea, so long as us artists can come together!

All I will say for now is... It will involve all 180+ Travelers across the series.

I'll work hard to get the idea planned out properly. It's something as a community that I think would be great to have complete by the 6th Anniversary, so long as we have a lot of willing artists!

favorite single chapter and favorite travel banter

this is difficult, i love so many of them!

i think for the travel banter, any with ochette tbh. theyre all so cute. i think special mention goes to the one where she makes osvald smile, and the one where she gets drunk with partitio. i also really like peaches, it makes me laugh so hard

for the chapter, its really hard to pick. i love partitio chapter 3, parti chapter 1, agnea chapter 2 and ochette chapter 2 tera route. basically all the wholesome ones haha. i like lighthearted funny stuff and wholesome characters beating up capitalists

Interesting theory on a potential literary influence for both Octopath Traveler’s narrative structure and the distinctive speech patterns of H’annit and her village in the English localization. Having read The Canterbury Tales at university I’m still not entirely convinced that the localizers were aiming for strict fidelity to the rules of Middle English (essentially English with even more obvious French influence, both in spelling and phonetics), but at the same time it’s not a completely arbitrary writing choice.

Noa loves hearing about Tressa’s adventures. And Tressa never gets tired of sharing them with her. 

I ADORE Tressa and her story was so sweet and lovely. I can’t get over how she ultimately befriends Noa and shares the love of adventure with her by gifting her beloved travel journal… I care them!! They’re adventure gfs!!

Therion has me giggling

Headcanon ask: How would each character feel/react to their class counterpart's final boss? For example how would Temenos feel about Mattias, how would Alfyn react to Trousseau, et cetera. Alternatively... (Therion-centric one sorry): Therion is canonically ambidextrous according to banter, but trains both hands. Which hand do you headcanon is naturally his dominant one, or is he good with both? Is his handwriting different depending on which hand he uses? If so, does he use that to his advantage in any way?
