Jimin frowned as soon as he walked through the front door to the sound of silence. Silence and darkness. He slipped off his shoes and unpocketed his phone to check the time.
Late, but still early enough for you to be awake.
A weird feeling tickled in his chest, solidified, and sunk into his stomach.
“Babe?”
He followed the walls with his fingertips, knowing the apartment like the back of his hand, but not wanting to bump into anything. When his fingers brushed the closed door of the bedroom, he let out a quiet breath.
“Babe?” he repeated, quieter in case you were sleeping. But when he peeked his head in, he saw the faint light of your cellphone, laying face-up on your mattress. Resting his shoulder against the doorframe, he noticed you staring up at the ceiling and tried to get a gauge on your mood.
It was when you wiped a tear from the apple of your cheek that he sighed and slipped into the room.
You didn’t notice him coming, too wrapped up in the music blaring from your headphones and too distracted by the thoughts swirling inside your head. It’s for this reason that you jumped when he nudged you, just ever so gently, against your shoulder.
You tugged your headphones down with a frown and a meager attempt at wiping your tears away. “Jimin?”
He sighed your name and took a seat next to you, immediately tugging you toward him so he could wrap his arms around you. “Why are you crying?”
You sniffled and shrugged. Truthfully, you didn’t want to talk about it. You were tired of even thinking about what was troubling you, let alone vocalizing it.
He hummed and pressed his lips to your temple. “Why did you come hide in here like this?”
Again, you shrugged, playing with his fingers as they sat in your lap. “Listening to music in the dark is comforting.”
“But you’re crying…alone…in the dark,” he pointed out gently.
You took a quivering breath. “Yeah.”
“Why?”
“Because…” you sighed. “Because sitting alone in the dark gives me the permission I need to cry. To just sit in solitude and let it go.”
“But…” He trailed off, as if trying to understand. Hooking a finger beneath your chin, he tilted your head up with a sad smile. “You know you don’t need to hide away like this. You don’t need to hide your emotions.”
You shrugged.
He let out a quiet breath and held you a little tighter. “Ah, you forget what it’s like…”
“What what’s like?”
“To be able to be there for someone,” he said quietly. “I want to be here for you. You’re always here for me.“
“I’ll be okay though…”
“You think I wouldn’t be okay if you weren’t there for me?” he lifted a challenging eyebrow. “I know you’d be okay. You’re strong enough to make it through anything on your own…but that doesn’t mean you have to. You don’t have to be so strong all the time. You should save your strength for when you really need it, right?”
His insight left you speechless. You’d never thought of it like that before, like maybe letting someone be there for you in moments like this would make it easier the next time you didn’t have anyone to be there for you.
You blinked at him. “When did you get so smart?”
He gasped and tickled your side. “I’ve always been smart, you brat! Just ask my school teachers!”
“School smart and life smart aren’t the same,” you teased.
He made a face and booped your nose. “Feeling better?”
You nodded.
He smiled and nuzzled your cheek. “Wanna tell me what had you so upset?”
You settle against him with a sigh, giving a brief squeeze of his hand. “Not right now, okay? Later?”
He hummed, wrapping his arms back around you and settling more comfortably on the bed. “Okay. Whenever you’re ready, I’m here.”
You’d tell him. You would.
For now, though, you’d conserve your energy and rest, letting him be here physically for you first. Then mentally.
One foot in front of the other.

hello !! here’s a prompt for your quote game “you’re finally home” i’m not sure if you take boy requests for this too but i’d love it for jimin, but you can do any member you’d like :)) thank you !!
⨽ pairing: hybrid!jimin x reader
⨽ genre: fluff
⨽ warnings: none that i can think of
.
Jimin sat on the couch, switching his gaze from the clock on the wall to the door. “She’s normally home by now,” he mumbled to himself.
A normal night in your house went like this. You’d be home by now. The moment you’d open the door, Jimin’s arms would be wrapped around you. You’d laugh and hug him back, placing a kiss on his head, causing him to purr in delight. Then the two of you would eat dinner and watch some tv, cuddling on the couch.
Jimin frowned. You were late, and he was beginning to feel hungry. Jimin knew how to cook, but he didn’t like to eat dinner without you.
He enjoyed watching you cook. You looked so cute as you hummed your favourite songs while chopping some vegetables. He loved how whenever he’d offer to help, you’d smile and shake your head. He loved seeing you smile, it made him feel warm and happy. He unconsciously smiled as he thought about you and the things you did.
The way you’d pet him every time he helped you with something, or how you’d gently play with his ears as he laid his head in your lap while you worked. How you’d giggle as he wrapped his tail around your waist when you were in public, finding his protectiveness quite cute. Or how you’d kiss his scars, reassuring him everything was okay whenever he felt anxious or when he began to worry.
The sound of his grumbling tummy snapped him out of his thoughts, and he frowned again. “I should cook. y/n might be too tired to cook anyway,” he said to himself before making his way to the kitchen.
He opened a cabinet and pulled out a cookbook. “Today, I’ll make something different,” he whispered to himself with a smile.
.
Jimin smiled as he opened the lid of the pot to check if everything was cooking well. He let out a satisfied sigh as the smell of delicious food filled his nose.
“I want y/n to come soon, hopefully, she can take a taste test before it’s done,” he said, remembering how every time she cooked, she’d let Jimin have a taste before it’s ready.
Jimin perked his ears as he could hear the sound of keys fitting into the lock. “She’s home!” he exclaimed and quickly made his way towards the door. “y/n’s home, she’s home, y/n’s home” he chanted excitedly, waiting for the door to open.
Once the door had opened, and Jimin caught a glimpse of your figure, he threw his arms around you, pulling you into a rather tight embrace. “Jimin… you’re hugging me too tight,” you can barely speak. Jimin loses his hold around you, not letting you go completely. “Hi, y/n,” he mumbles into the crook of your neck.
“Hi, Jimin,” you greet in return, running your fingers through his soft hair. “Why are you so late,” he asks, and you let out a sigh. “I had to do some extra work today, I didn’t expect it to take that long. Sorry Jimin,” you apologise, and he shakes his head, placing a quick peck on your neck. “It’s okay. I’m just glad you’re finally home.” he let out a soft sigh as you began to scratch the base of his ears.
“Me too, Minnie, me too.”
.

quote game - "you're cute when you blush" jimin or taehyung please :)
⨽ pairing: jimin x reader (soulmate!au)
⨽ genre: fluff
⨽ warnings: none that i can think of :)

You let out a sigh as you averted your attention from the book you were reading to look out the window. Doing this was the norm for you. Sitting in a small cafe, enjoy your cup of coffee or tea while reading a book.
You sadly smiled as you watched the many couples and happy families walk past. You envied them. They were able to find their soulmates or were able to find the ones they wanted to be with for the rest of their lives. You looked at the small tattoo on your wrist, wishing you had found your soulmate.
Finding your soulmate wasn't easy, not when the thing that tied them to you was a small matching tattoo of their name on any part of their body, most commonly on their wrist.
The only indication that you got when you've met your soulmate was when that tattoo glowed. It would shine when you would've locked eyes with them.
For someone like you, it wasn't the best way to find your soulmate. You weren't a big fan of eye contact. In fact, you hated it.
"Caramel macchiato for Park Jimin, and __ y/n!" a worker called, snapping you out of your thoughts.
You got up from your chair and made your way to the cashier. You looked at the cups and frowned. They were two different sizes, and you suddenly forgot what side you had ordered. You weren't sure if you had requested the large or the regular.
"Mine's the large one," the man next to you chuckled. You nodded and picked up both, handing him the large. "Thanks." He said, taking the coffee from you.
"Your name's y/n, right?" he asked, and you nodded, staring at the cup you were holding in your hand. "For some reason, your name seems familiar," he said, your eyebrows to raise. You raised your head to look at him. "Do you-" you cut yourself off once you locked eyes with him.
The sudden bright light coming from your wrist caused you to gasp in surprise. The man rolled up his sleeve, looking at the glowing name on his forearm.
"Oh my gosh, Maria, they're soulmates!" You heard a cashier squeal as she witnessed the scene unfold in front of her.
Once the names were back to normal, you looked back at the man. He was already looking at you with a smile. "That's why your name sounded familiar."
.
"So... tell me a little about yourself?" Jimin asked you, starting a conversation. "I'm your average struggling student who likes to spend her time in cafes enjoying a cup of tea or coffee while reading a book," you said, not looking up from the book on the table.
"I major in Art and Literature, so it's either I'm always drawing or always reading, one of the two," you said with a soft chuckle. "I also spend my time in libraries, reading again. Wow, I just realised I do a lot of reading."
Jimin chuckled. "I read a bit too, so hopefully we can sit together and read," he said, and you smiled. Throughout the conversation, you avoided his gaze. Looking at everything except him. "What do you major in?" "I major in Design and Technology and take Dance as my second major."
You only nodded, taking a sip of your coffee. "You don't like eye contact do you?" he suddenly asked, catching you by surprise. "I mean, you've been looking everywhere except at me, not that I have a problem with it or anything. It's just easy to pick up."
You were slightly embarrassed. "Yeah, I'm not a big fan of eye contact." "That's okay. I wasn't a fan of it either. But I find it cute how you're trying so hard to avoid looking at me." Your eyes widened at his comment.
He wasn't wrong. You wanted to sit there and admire him, but your anxiety wasn't letting you. "It's okay. You can look at me all you want. I'm yours, after all."
You snuck a quick glance at him, your cheeks beginning to turn red. Jimin let out another laugh causing your cheeks to turn redder. You just wanted to run away and hide.
"Stop laughing! It's not funny," you whined, and he only laughed harder.
"You're cute when you blush," he commented, beginning to admire the red that was spreading across your cheeks.
You were happy you had finally met your soulmate. You finally had someone who would make your world brighter. "I'm glad I met you today, Jimin."
"Me too."
.

⨽ title: cherry balm
⨽ summary: you start using a new lip balm and jimin loves the taste.
⨽ pairing: jimin x reader
⨽ genre: fluff, established relationship
⨽ warnings: kissing
⨽ word count: 891
⨽ a/n: if you cringe towards the end forgive me. writing kissing scenes is a struggle for me lol.

There was a soft smile on Jimin's face as he watched you move around his kitchen.
"Where do you keep your big bowls again?" You asked as you closed another cupboard.
"In the bottom cupboard to your left," he said, and you hummed in response before opening it and taking out a bowl.
He loved days like this. Days where'd you decide to come to his place and spend the night.
"What're you making?" he asked as you began to set the ingredients on the counter.
"Chocolate chip cookies," you told him. "I don't think I've made them for you before."
"You haven't," he said, getting up from the bar stool and making his way to the island. "Do you want me to help with anything?"
"Remember what happened the last time you lent me a hand?" You asked, pouring flour into a measuring cup.
The last time you were here, you made cupcakes.
What started off as playfully putting flour on each other's noses and cheeks turned into you being covered in flour.
"I don't want to clean up a mess like that again..." he chuckled. "I promise this time I'm going to behave."
"I'll let you help me put them into trays," you smiled, causing him to playfully pout.
"Please?" He asked, wrapping his arms around you and resting his chin on your shoulder.
"I won't be able to move properly like this, Jimin," you huffed, trying to get the man off you. "I said you can help me put them in the trays. I'll even let you try the batter."
He only hummed in response before burying his head in the crook of your neck.
One thing Jimin loved about you was your love for vanilla. It was your favourite scent and flavour.
The majority of the baked goods you made were vanilla, and almost everything you used smelled like vanilla. You shampoo, your body wash, your perfumes, everything.
Jimin's favourite was your lip balm. God, how he loved the Oh So Heavenly vanilla lip balm you used.
"Do you want a chocolate chip?" You asked, popping one into your mouth and humming at the taste.
Jimin lifted his head and nodded, opening his mouth and saying: "Ah."
You smiled before popping two into his mouth. "You know you could learn to make these if you just focused on what I was doing. So you don't always have to wait for me to come over for you to have something baked."
"Even if I learnt... I don't think they'd taste as good as yours," he sighed, letting go of you.
"You'll be using the same recipe, so they'd definitely taste like mine," you said. "Here, you can taste the batter and tell me how it is."
You handed Jimin a teaspoon of the batter. "Please tell me if it's too sweet."
When Jimin put the teaspoon in his mouth, his eyes widened at the taste. "If this is how the batter tastes like this, I can't wait for the cookies."
"Is it too sweet or not?" You asked, taking the spoon and tossing it in the sink.
"It tastes just fine to me," he smiled, giving you a quick kiss.
"Don't kiss me when you have batter on your lips," you whined, licking your lips.
"I can't see my lips," he chuckled, licking his lips to get the batter off.
Jimin's face turned in confusion as he licked his lips again.
Something was different, and he couldn't put his finger on it.
"It's off," you told him, walking to the oven to get the tray.
"Baby," he said, and you hummed. "Can you kiss me again?"
"In the kitchen?" you asked with a frown, placing the tray on the counter.
"Relax," Jimin told you, knowing how you felt about being intimate in the kitchen. You were okay with hugs and pecks but nothing more. "I'm just asking for a kiss. Nothing more."
"Fine," you huffed before walking to him and kissing him again.
Jimin's hands made their way around your waist and pulled you closer when your lips landed on his again.
They were still sweet with the taste of chocolate from the chocolate chip batter. But instead of your sweet bubble balm, he could faintly taste something new. He wasn't sure what flavour this was he loved it.
Jimin suddenly lifted you up onto the counter, causing you to gasp. With your lips parted, he slipped his tongue inside your mouth.
He stood between your legs, a hand in your hair as you continued to kiss him.
"You changed your lip balm," he breathed when you eventually pulled away, your bodies still close.
"Yeah," you whispered, catching your breath. "I couldn't find another vanilla bubble balm, so I had to get something else. Does it taste weird?"
"Not at all," he told you. "What flavour is it?"
You unconsciously licked your bottom lip. "I think it's cherry."
"Cherry?" he asked, lips brushing against yours, and you hummed in response. "Keep using it for a while."
And his lips were pressed against yours again. He wasn't sure if it was because he was different compared to what he was used to, but the taste of your lips was almost intoxicating.
He couldn't think about anything other than how he really hoped you'd use this cherry balm for a while.
