An audio transcription of another of my favourite Pixie Hollow Online tracks: the Pumpkin Patch intro. This one was less difficult to do than Silvermist’s Grotto, as the instrument use was much more classical and less digitally enhanced. I especially love the counterpoint between the woodwinds, which is why I decided to transcribe this one.
I still don’t know the name of the original composer, so if anyone does, please let me know as I’d like to give them credits.
So I got bored, decided to play the wonderful @wethepixies Pixie Hollow Online demo, and got this stuck in my head.
The Ballroom in Pixie Hollow Online during Sports Camp. This bothers me. Why is there a swimming pool? Isn’t it well established that fairies can’t swim because of their wings dragging them down? I mean, I know the movie-verse is a lot less strict in this than the book-verse, but at least it was shown that wet wings were undesirable (GFR, TPF). This is the first time I’ve seen a very clear sign that fairies do swim (at least in the game-verse, which one might argue is also slightly different from the movie-verse).
Or is this another instant of Disney blatantly ignoring Rani?
I made another audio transcription of Pixie Hollow Online music, this time from Rosetta’s Garden.
I moved all of my transcriptions and arrangement to a dedicated blog, @transcriptions-of-unknown-music. I’ll keep reblogging the Fairies-related ones here, of course, but that way I can keep all of my work, which spans a lot more franchises and some more serious stuff, together. By request another piece from the Pixie Hollow Online Game: the soundtrack of Rosetta’s Garden. This is an audio transcription, in which I try to write down the music by ear as closely to the original as possible, while still scoring for possible live performance by actual musicians.
The original music is by a composer I haven’t been able to find the name of; this transcription is made by me.
