Frenzied {BonKai Fan Fic Teaser}

All right, Bonkamily, I know it’s been a minute but I did say I was working on a one shot for you guys and this is the first part to it from Kai’s perspective, the second part will be from Bonnie’s and trust me, it won’t end the way it seems like it will. I really wanted to explore a regular-irregular/normal-not-normal argument between the two of them, like this is what it would look like when they have relationship arguments. It was fun to write, hopefully you’re excited for the entire one shot!

                                                    Part I

“Kai, stop walking.”    “No.”    “Stop walking now.”    He didn’t bother responding this time and continued hurtling through the hallway, down the stairs and out of the dormitory building. Bonnie was half a step behind him, almost but not quite keeping pace with his long, determined strides. Kai knew she was angry with him but he was angry too — furious. Or well he was panicked and hurt and that made him furious; she made him furious, undid him, laid him bare. It was maddening.    “Dammit, Kai.’    No answer.    “You know, I can make you stay here!”    Suddenly, he whirled around sharply so that he was looking at her dead in the eye, their faces only inches away from each other. “I’d like to see you try,” he said.    Bonnie glared at him but didn’t do or say anything.    Silence.    But their silences were never really silent; they were charged with unspoken aggression, with resentful desire … with wicked longing. Their silences were always loud with the imagery of them together, their bodies entwined and writhing, slicked with sweat and flushed with pleasure. Even now as Kai glowered at Bonnie, at how her face was contorted with defiance and rage, he itched to grab her to him, to feel her claw his back, to feel her teeth bite down mercilessly on his lower lip. He couldn’t help but picture his mouth on her, kissing her until she was breathless; his tongue running all over her skin, his fingers caressing her until she trembled, torturing her until she begged for more, for release, for God, for him.    That was it.    Kai closed the gap between them by thrusting his lips onto hers and pushing her indelicately against the brick wall of the dorm building. He held either side of her face, his body hard against hers, as he kissed her savagely; the remembered huskiness of her moans urged him to nip at her neck and collarbone, to thrust his pelvis into her as he slipped his hands beneath her shirt to graze and explore her bare stomach. Bonnie’s panting was quickened and harsh and she squeezed the nape of his neck, then she put her hands lower to his ass and pressed, encouraging him to push into her again. Yes. Hell yes. This was what he wanted, this was what consumed his thoughts all day, since this morning, since walking in on her and seeing … seeing …    Kai wrenched away from Bonnie and took a step back, his blood screaming, his body yearning to mould back into her, to overwhelm her, to possess her with a need for him. But he couldn’t let what he saw go. It tore him up inside. The memory of what he walked in on infected his mind like a virus and taunted him cruelly so that he shook with furious insecurity.    Only moments before, Kai had stood in the doorway and watched as Bonnie destroyed the entire dorm, shattering things with magic or else throwing objects against the wall so that they broke apart. She was frenzied, overwhelmed with anger; too emotional to control her power. Kai had seen her like this before, many times before; he’d seen her like this when they fought, when they fucked … when she tried to resist their pull, tried to resist him. Kai knew that he agitated Bonnie beyond reason, beyond comprehension, that he incensed her with hatred; hatred for all the pain he caused her, for the darkness he awakened in her, hatred that he livened her with passion, that she was tormented with want for him. But what he walked in on wasn’t about that, it wasn’t about him. Before he could even ask what was wrong, he heard her mutter frantically as she smashed and slammed and crushed.    “… done giving him chances, done being his friend … selfish ass! Why do we put up with it? Why do I put up with it? He’ll never change … should’ve killed him when I had the chance, probably should kill him now … How did I ever let myself be friends with Damon freaking Salvatore?”    That name. That fucking name. The reaction was instinctive and Kai yelled, punching a hole in the wall, making Bonnie turn to him.    “What did he do?”    “It’s none of your business, Kai.”    “Bonnie, what the hell did he do?”    “Nothing he hasn’t done a hundred times before!”     It was a mess in his head. Kai couldn’t stand it; seeing Bonnie respond so strongly to the actions of another man. It killed him, wrecked him completely. Her spite and her anger, it was supposed to be his, only his, it was supposed to be his connection to her, their bridge to each other; he could turn her hatred for him into hatred for what he made her feel, that he could gratify her, set her free from constraints. Kai wanted it all and he wanted it all to himself — her resentment, her fury … but now he was sharing it with Damon. Now what was his was theirs and how long would it be until Damon tried to transform that rage the way Kai did?  And what if he was able to? Kai swore loudly and swiftly ran his fingers through his hair.    There was something else too; a newfound irritation that terrorized him. Damon had hurt Bonnie. He’d caused her grief; he’d done something to upset her enough that she was raging in her room and seeing Bonnie in pain in turn caused Kai pain; it enraged him, compelled him to utterly destroy the reason for her suffering. The only person who could cause her anguish was him; Kai wouldn’t allow anyone else the opportunity. And that was when he’d left, when he started looking for Damon.    Bonnie yelled at him now. “Do not go after him.”    “I thought you wanted him dead,” said Kai sardonically.    “Obviously I didn’t mean it!”    “I don’t care. I wanted to do this for a long time.”    “I don’t need you to protect me. Or defend me!”    “You think I don’t know that? That isn’t what this is about!”    It was half true. Kai didn’t feel like arguing that point right now, it was bad enough that they were fighting about Damon’s well-being at all; her insistence that he leave the Salvatore alone only instilled in him a deeper need to tear him apart.    “So what,” said Bonnie. “You’re just using me as an excuse to kill?”    “You’re not an excuse.” Kai rubbed his forehead in frustration. “He has a hold on you. He has a hold on you and it’s driving me crazy!”    Bonnie looked bewildered and her expression alleviated Kai’s jealous worry. But only slightly. “He’s just my friend,” said Bonnie.    “Why? After everything he’s done to you—”    “I don’t know why!”    “Exactly!”    “I don’t know why I continue to see you after everything you’ve done to me either, Kai.”    He took an abrupt step forward and he saw Bonnie tense with resolve and wary anticipation as he drew closer to her. “Are you saying that you and him are the same thing as me and you?”    “No!” said Bonnie. “I’m not sleeping with Damon!”    “But you kissed!”    Bonnie yelled in frustration. “Once!” She shook her head. “You know what, no. I don’t have to justify myself to you.”    “And I don’t have to justify myself to you either.”    Bonnie slapped him hard against the face and his cheek stung terribly, it burned; he could taste blood in his mouth. “Like hell you don’t!” she said.    Kai stared at her and then turned away to start walking again. He didn’t feel her behind him like before but then — “I will never forgive you if you do this!”    He paused on the spot for a moment, turned around and walked back toward her and without hesitation pressed his lips against hers for a second time. His hand was on her throat beneath her chin and he kissed her with even more intensity than before, pouring in his hunger and taking everything he could from her; her exasperation and outrage, her thirst however repressed and finally he took her magic. His mouth opened hers, her tongue urgent against his, he used the contact to siphon shreds of power from her; it was a thrilling process, one that aroused and exhilarated, one that brought him even closer to her, one that allowed her to consume him and him to consume her at the same time. Just before he pulled away, he cast a silent spell and Bonnie was immobile, bound by invisible constraints and then he inched away from her. “You haven’t forgiven me for everything else that I’ve done what’s one more sin to the list?” He pulled back further. “Kai, no. No. Let me go! Let me go, now! Kai!” And then with a whisper of speed he was gone, Bonnie’s yells echoing in his ear, the taste of her on his tongue.
