I thought of this Au a while back so why not share it
Atem/Pharaohender is a pharaoh that died at a young age while in battle which he won but cost his life and was later turned into a slender(idk what they call it) due to having a strong desire that he can’t let go, or forgive. He’s on the hunt for the millennium items as they have power and doesn’t want them to fall into the wrong hands.Atem would go a rampages eating and killing people in his woods. The muders were so intense that people put a warning sign to not enter the woods.
1996 Yugi a boy who always alone and gets picked on… all he ever wanted was a friend. Anzu had to move to a different school due to money. He only has one eye due to the other being missing( more info will be in that soon). Yugi solved the puzzle in his middle school and instead of being around his neck, it attach to his eyes and became kinda like a eye patch and a new eyes for him.
One day Yugi was on a run from Usido( sorry for misspelling) and ran into the woods hoping to lose them. Yugi was corned think he was gonna get beat up, heard screams of pain and agony. Yugi opened his eyes and saw Atem and him eating the dead bully. with an injured arm Yugi was scared thinking it was the end for him due to rumors he heard about something lurking in the woods, but something inside him prevented him from running and instead being killed the man took Yugi taking an interest to him. Yugi not having a choice, just went along with it and felt save for the first time and thought that he made a new friend and thinks he can trust the man despite him killing and eating his bully.
