hi nicoo ur a big inspiration 4 me and i wanna ask for any tips on drawing mmore poses and perspective? ive been stuck on 2 to 3 poses and ive tried refs but those dont work and/or dont fit my artstyle :( u dont have to answer thumbs up emoji
THANK YOU!!!!! ouuu for perspective i am..still learning i will get back to u on that GAHA
for poses, i use a lot of references n kinda bash them together (stare at pinterest and use one pic for hands, another for body, another for face etc etc)
i get the same problem sometimes when i try to use refs where i’ll lose my style, that’s why i do this stick man thing (in photo below) so i can build off a skeleton in my own style, rather than end up trying to just copy the realism of the photo!!!
here’s a very quick run thru of how i draw poses from ref
OH and don’t worry abt the anatomy being correct, just think abt shapes and getting the feeling of the pose correct :3
sometimes drawing poses rlly exaggerated n stylized (even if it’s not ur usual style) can help u learn how to implement them into ur usual art as well!!!
hi! I've been trying to use CSP for ages now but it hasn't really been working with my art style. do you have any tips on how to make the lineart look messy but in an ✨aesthetic✨ way? is it the brushes, the brush stroke, a combination? sry for the long ask, I love ur art btw :>
it’s a combination i think!! but tbh…i kinda just wing it everytime i draw :’D i don’t rlly know too much
if it helps at all tho, my lines got a lot nicer once i stopped using brushes w pen pressure and started drawing a lot smaller (i usually use a size 2-6 brush)
i also don’t do an actual “line art layer” but i just use a cleaned up sketch!! hope this can help a little bit good luCK!!!!!!
btw i’ve recently been using this brush a ton it’s so nice for lining ( usually at a size 8-10 and w watercolor edge turned on )
also i set my pen pressure like this!!
feel free 2 ask any other brush specifics anytime !! i try to b as helpful as possible
ALSOOO added a new tag, it’s just qna i’m gonna try n put all my art specific questions under there like tutorials n brushes n stuff

Hello! I recently reinstalled clip studio and lost the pack with brushes that you once posted here. I tried to find that post, but apparently it is no longer there. can you upload that pack of brushes again, please? :<
woah i never noticed the post disappearing.. weird.. ANYWAYS here they are!!
for texture/coloring (i use “GRONCH” specifically)
for line art / sketching (i use it with watercolor edge turned on and at like size 7-14) ((also this on has a rlly cool texture if u use it at a huge size and low opacity))
https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1839364
and then this one i don’t rlly use that much anymore but it’s for lineart sometimes! (at size like 2-4 usually, very small)
IMPORTANT THING I FORGOT TO ADD for the marker <3 brush sorry!

What art tips would you recommend?
1) EXERCISE. stretch ur wrists, buy tiny weights to build strength in them, go on walks so ur legs don’t die from sitting all the time idk if ur only like 14 or something, start doing it nowwww
2) raise ur pen/brush sensitivities so u don’t have to press as hard on ur screens and lower ur stabilization if u hate lineart
3) It Is Always Okay To Pirate PDF Art Resources.
4) learn to love the process bc there will be often times where the end result drawing is not what u like and if ur only drawing for that end result you’ll go crazy. find a pen that Feels Good to use and makes u happy or something like that
5) don’t post on tiktok/reels if ur a beginner artist. they r mean over there in ways that is abnormal
6) tone curve + posterization can make ur colors real funky fun
7) don’t worry abt style consistency, that’ll develop naturally overtime
8) never pay for adobe. you’ll find a way
these r layer adjustments (idk the proper term for them haha) that some digital programs have, i use em specifically in clip studio paint ^_^
here’s examples using my hobie drawin
first images: with/without all layers (vivid light, posterization, tone curve)
second images: with/without posterization alone

Sorry if this is weird 😨 but can we draw your characters I think they’re really cool and want to draw them but if no that’s TOTALLY Fine
YES!!! PLS DO!!!!!! lmk in inbox if u do bc that’s easier for me to find than anything else!! and lmk if u have any questions abt their designs or anything :DDDD
little breakdown abt the same 4 lines i tend to use for drawing folds!!
not a tutorial just some notes ^^
ps sorry for spelling accordion wrong every single time. i will not learn from this
second ps the biggest diff between accordion and pinch is that pinch lines meet at the origin point while accordion lines imply a future meeting but don’t actually touch
Hello, how do you get such cool colors on your art, can you tell me?
HELLO my two biggest tricks are tone curve on clip studio paint and snow app filter specifically under “edit” -> “effects” -> “indiekid 3” ??? i’m not sure what the name of it is i think it’s indie kid
i just circled it LOL i love this filter i put it on literally everything i draw
hii, first of all your art is absolutely gorgeous and you are so talented 💞!! i was just wondering if you had any advice on how you draw curly and textured hair? no worries if you don’t have the time to answer this!!
hi thank you!!! sorry this took me forever HAHA i wanted to put together a coherent detailed thing but realized i uhhh honestly don’t think that hard abt it when i draw
i tend to just plan out the hair parting n hairline
and then i just simplify n stylize curls by only drawing the front half of the curl? like this ^^ i like drawing them in an implied sort of style
rest of advice i’d give is to just observe how real hair sits (ie looser curls being more visible from further away n coming off as bigger etc etc) n how other artists draw hair !
can you pls… tell me how you get your colours like that… its so nice and desaturated but also jus fuckkk man i need it you’re so cool
hello! ur username is fun!
i just pick desaturated colors n they turn out desaturated HAHH but i also try to avoid any high contrasts.
for example, instead of using pure white, i pick grays (more yellow grays for warm, more pure grays for cool). instead of black, i lean more towards gray again or brown.
this also makes it look super fun when i do add actual harsh contrasts, like an all black shadow or a bright color. rlly fun effect!
like this ^^
just a general avoidance of the top corners of the color square, sticking to the middle!
there’s also a lot of random layer adjustments i make all the time that essentially do the same thing just faster (lower contrast, lower brightness)
here is also my old color guide from 2021 that i still kinda follow to this day. start super dull, add vibrance later
SORRY IF THIS ISNT VERY HELPFUL QWQ
my recipe for drawing hands!
(small note that this is a shortcut that is more abt style and ease than anatomical accuracy. it helps to take time to really properly study hands, makes it easier to bend the rules a bit like this and have it still look good!!)
(learn rules b4 u break them or whatevah)
wanted to add little bonus note that the thing i like most w this method is that they’re such simple shapes u don’t even have to draw them entirely. after a while it gets pretty easy 2 just infer and imagine the rest of the lines!!
makes for very quick but efficient sketching ^_^

Do u hab any tips 4 drawin
if my tags r working then i have some stuff around #qna about more specific things!! right now my big art tip is to pleasw stretch and watch what ur posture/how ur resting ur wrists, elbows etc….
i had a numb hand and elbow pain for 2 weeks bc of being dumb abt this……… fold up towels or whatever so ur not resting joints in hard surfaces………
umm and also never ever even for a little worry abt consistent style if ur still early in learning. be hungry to change and adapt at all times, do full 180’s if that means you’ll feel more fulfilled w what ur drawing
ummmmmmmm. try lowering/raising ur brush’s pen pressure drastically if ur having a hard time w sketching/lining digitally. migjt just b working w settings thag don’t click for u
wavin at you. so question: how’d you get so good at drawing bodies? i’m pretty decent at them but you can draw bodies from just so many angles and in so many perspectives and that’s always hard from me. do you use references? how do you break the body down to be able to do those perspectives so well?
waving back at u hello!! tagging in ur other questions here so i can knock out as much as i can at once ^_^
i use lots of references! i used to use them by drawing over the silhouettes of poses i found on pinterest.
i don’t have any easy tricks or shortcuts to proportions unfortunately :’D i picked it up from observation just by doing this for so long.
it’s a fun way to learn, but can be restraining in terms of stiffness and also making u really dependent on seeing a reference before u can think of how to draw a certain pose.
now, i focus on what lines a body follows rather than the silhouette. i try to keep every section of the body to no more than 1-3 lines when first sketching.
doesn’t matter if the lines are accurate, just be bold w them!!!!!
this is a lot easier to me than breaking the body down into shapes, and it keeps everything more fluid.
it’s on these lines where i choose to exaggerate as well!!!
my fav exaggerations to do are flipping between curve/straight/curve/straight.
for example: on the left leg, i made the curve of the calf more pronounced while stiffening the straight line of the shin.
or on the skirt, i simplified the edges to single straight lines and the hem to one long curve :D
this comes back to my 1-3 lines habit, where i try to simplify everything as much as i can, but also it comes down simply to observation and practice…..which is unfortunately the worst answer ever but it’s true LOL my sketchbooks are packed right now, but i have many many pages of completely fucking up and drawing a leg one thousand times too long. the best thing to do is to draw quickly and boldly, even if it’s wrong 100 times, than to sit down and take forever trying to get it correct on the first try.
pen and marker sketching will force u to do this LOL. it helps to find pens and markers that are fun to use, especially for scribbling, bc then u will look forward to drawing more even if it turns out bad!!!
