You end up opening a bottle of wine, watch SEVERAL HOURS of talking animal media and the Uprooted campaign and well.....
You begin to get these.....IDEAS.

Been wanting to draw something related to Redwall for agesss. I haven't actually read the books, but I've seen the Nelvana TV series and heard some of the audiobook. Also aware Netflix was making a new show (Please please please don't cancel it Netflix please I'm begging you)
Redwall means a lot to many people, and it's really influenced my art, so I'll consider this piece a sort of love letter to it! Hope you like this painting! Enjoy enjoy!!

Redwall sweater ($10) designed by AmarinalevinHandknits.
Redwall is a series of children’s books by Brian Jacques, based on the adventures of different mice and their enemies. Matthias and Mariel are pictured on the front of this sweater, holding hands against the backdrop of the steaming volcano. The back has boxes of scenes: Mariel with her string, a sword, a castle, and a volcano. One sleeve has the Redwall castle and the other sleeve has the moon rising between two hills. There is a nod to Medieval elements in the trim patterns. On the wrists and hem there are growing red and green diamonds on purple, and green circles and curving lines in greens. The neck trim is blue and yellow triangles, which are echoed on the sides in diamonds.
hello I read Redwall when I was like 12, havent picked it up since, and a decade later painted these in a fall out boy/thirty seconds to mars/marianas trench-induced haze

Broadpaw and Treadfast didn't want to cross the fungi forest, but the alternative was backtracking nearly forty miles. Their kidnapped friends couldn't wait - they would have to push on after the weasels.
"Redwall Feast"
Abbot Dycus leads the weary warrior mouse and his badger companion down to the Cavern Hole, where luck has it the springtide feast is currently being prepared.
Raising his mug of dandelion ale, Samhern Mouse calls out, "Three cheers for the returning heroes!"
