„I’m sorry I have to ruin your evening again, but something at work came up.” Christopher said when you stepped inside the house, getting a quick hug right away. You smiled as you enjoyed this small, yet so sweet gesture. “No such thing as a ruined evening when I’m spending time with Marcus. You should know by now that I love him.” When he pulled away you smiled at him while taking off your coat and your shoes as Christopher put his on. “Right, so I already said goodbye to him. I don’t know how long it’ll take.” He tilted his head to the right, giving you a questioning look. You’ve been taking care of Christopher’s kid Marcus for a while now and he knew that he could always count on you. “Its no problem. If you want me to, I can stay the night. Don’t want you getting problems at work.” He grinned at you statement and took his car keys off the drawers to his left. “That would be a big help, (Y/N). Feel free to take a shower, food is in the fridge and there’s blankets in the drawer in the living room.” He opened the door again, turning to the side slightly. “Okay Marcus, (Y/N) is here and Dads out now. Be good, Ill see you tomorrow.” Marcus came running to him, first hugging you as a hello and then hugging his dad as a goodbye. “Come on, (Y/N). Dad gave me some Disney movies to watch with you!” Marcus took your hand and pulled you with him to the living room. You shrugged a Christopher and took your other hand to wave as he stood in the door, smiling. When he closed the door, you and Marcus were alone, starting a Disney Movie Marathon beginning with One hundred and one dalmatians.
————-
After three Disney movies and a bucket of popcorn later, Marcus was finally in his bed, sleeping like a stone. You started to clean up. Christopher’s house was always clean and when someone came in, they wouldn’t think that an eight-year-old lived here. You folded the blanket Marcus had neatly, putting it back in the drawer where it was before. You didn’t know how Christopher kept everything so neat and clean with Marcus, not that he was a messy kid, but he was still a kid. You went over to the kitchen and started to clean everything up that you needed to make dinner. Christopher had a very big and open hose, the bedroom was almost in the living room, just like the kitchen. It wasn’t late, the sun was still setting when you decided to take the shower Christopher had offered earlier. You didn’t have pajamas here and you didn’t want to go over to your place, leaving Marcus alone, so you just grabbed one of Christopher’s neatly folded black t-shirts. He wouldn’t mind, you did that before a couple times and he never cared, since you just didn’t want to leave Marcus alone. You made your way to the bathroom, taking a quick stop at Marcus door to make sure he was still sleeping before closing the bathroom door and letting the shower warm up while you undressed. The warm water immediately relaxed your muscles. You took his shower gel and washed your hair and body with it, you knew you would smell like him, but it wasn’t a problem, it never was. You knew both, Christopher and Marcus since over a year now. When the woman who usually took care of Marcus when Christopher had to work moved away, she told him that you would be able to look after him till he found a new babysitter, just that he never needed to search for a new one since he found one in you. You loved watching Marcus and helping him with his homework and you didn’t mind at all when you had to stay the night, because Christopher always made sure he made up for it with breakfast in the morning. When you stepped out of the shower you wrapped a large towel around your body and a smaller one around your head, so they were sitting on your head. You heard a thud outside, quickly drying off your body and putting Christopher’s shirt and your underwear on. As you left the bathroom you unwrapped your hair from the towel and started to slowly rub it. “Marcus, I thought we agreed that its past your bedtime.” You said as you walked to the living room, where the thud came from. You saw a woman standing before the drawer. She looked and you the way you were probably looking at her. Shocked. “Who…who are you? What are you doing here?” You stuttered, putting the towel on the edge on the sofa. The closed the drawer rapidly, making you wince at the sound. You head immediately flew to the side, checking if Marcus woke up. “I…I’m a friend of Rio’s.” She said, pushing her hair behind her ear. “Rio?” You asked confused. She took a step towards you which made you step one back. “Uhm…Christopher? Look, I just left some things here after a hook up, I’ll just get them and be out as soon as I have them okay?” She turned around again, continuing to go trough his drawers. You quickly took your smartphone off the coffee table and unlocked it. “Christopher never has random hook ups and even if, he would never have them here.” You started dialing his number. The woman turned around, fear in her eyes. “I’ll just call him real quick.” You muttered. You put your phone on your ear and heard it ring. “No, no, no. Put it down!” She whisper-yelled. “I swear to god if you don’t hang up right now, I’ll kill you.” The second she said that you heard Christopher’s voice on your ear. “(Y/N)?” The woman walked up to you, threating you with one of the wooded art pieces from Christopher’s drawers. “(Y/N/N/)? Everything alright?” You slowly let you hand drop next to your body, letting her take the smartphone out of your hand. She ended the call and threw your phone on the sofa. She raised her finger at you, threating you with it. “I’m just searching for something and you will let me search it alright. I don’t want to hurt you, okay?” You nodded slightly, tears started to flood your eyes and she turned around and started to keep searching, after she took your phone so you couldn’t take it. You weren’t scared that something would happen to you but to Marcus. “Could you at least do it quietly? I don’t want the kid to wake up.” You muttered as she closed the drawer loudly again. She looked at you with an annoying face but nodded. She started going through the next drawer, messing up everything. When you heard the door open quietly you heart skipped a beat. He really stopped work just because of an ended call. When he arrived next to you and saw the woman, he pushed you behind him with one arm. “You find what you’re looking for?” Christopher was furious, his whole body was under adrenaline. You could feel the arm that pushed you behind him flex under your hand, which was placed on it. She winced at the sound of his voice, closed the drawer rapidly again, which made you wince and turned around. “No.” She said, and Christopher turned around slightly, looking down at you. “Can you go and check up on Marcus? I’ll handle this.” He whispered and put his hand on my side, slowly pushing me in the direction of his room. “Are you sure?” You whispered back and he pinched your side softly as an answer, smiling at you. You ran your hand up and down his arm for a second, before you nodded and stepped back, leaving for Marcus room. He was still dead asleep, laying on his stomach and breathing slowly. You smiled softly, before you left the room, but waited in the doorway. “You want to tell me what it is?” You could hear his footsteps on the floor. Again, she answered with ‘No’. His footsteps stopped. “Alright. Let’s play a game, yeah? Twenty questions. I’ll start. Why did you follow me around all day?” You could hear by the sound of his voice that he was annoyed. “Was that your ex-wife?” She asked and your heart skipped a beat. Was she talking about you? Christopher took another step. “Eighteen.” He kept walking, slowly. “That’s not an answer, Christopher.” She said. You leaned against the doorframe of Marcus room. Christopher chuckled. “Why are you here?” Another step. “Seventeen.” She said, imitating him. “That’s not an answer, Elisabeth.” Christopher imitated her. You crossed your arms before your chest and took a deep breath, you just wanted this day to end. “Is this some sport to you? Or some twisted hobby?” She asked. What was she talking about? His Job? “Fifteen.” He answered. “What am I supposed to do here? Buy that body back for the rest of my life? Piece by piece? Limb by limb? How much for an elbow? An eyeball?” She was starting to get angry. You hoped that they were just using synonyms or something. “Eight.” Christopher was trying to provoke her, that was for sure. “You’re supposed to answer though, aren’t you? Why aren’t you answering?” She asked and you could hear his steps again. “Why are you talking so much?” He asked back. “It’ll take a lifetime to wash all that money.” She said quietly, you almost couldn’t hear her from your position. “Yeah, that’s kind of the point.” His footsteps stopped. “Why are you doing this?” She asked. In your head you counted the questions. “I mean you came to me way back when, right? Asking to be part of it. Now you’re a part of it.” He said. “When does it end?” Another question. Rio took a deep breath. “One question left.” He said. “You want it?” He basically took it now, so you hoped that this would be over soon. She didn’t say anything. You heard him take another step. “Would you please leave my house now?” He asked and you heard her starting to walk. “Oh, Elisabeth?” He added. “Yes?” She stopped in her tracks. “You ever step near (Y/N) or my kid again, I’ll kill you.” You heard her walk away and when the door closed, Christopher’s steps went towards you. You quickly turned around, looking at Marcus, who was still laying on his stomach. “You heard all of that?” Christopher whispered as he gently pulled you on your arm, out of Marcus room. He made sure not to hurt you or scare you. The man in front of you had nothing in common with the man who just threatened that woman into never talking to you again., except for the dark eyes and the soft yet raspy voice. You nodded slightly, looking to the floor. “Okay.” He said, nodding his head. “I understand if you want to leave and never come back, it’s okay.” You started to shake your head and took his hand almost aggressively. “No, no. I…I don’t care. I mean it’s your job; it has nothing to do with me. I’m not leaving, okay? I…I love taking care of Marcus. I love the both of you.” You muttered, as he placed his other hand on your hip. “Have I ever told you how good you look in my clothes?” He said, slowly pulling on the fabric in your hips, his black t-shirt. You looked up again, right into his eyes. “Do I?” You whispered back, letting him pull you closer. He nodded as his head came closer to your, inch after inch, as if he was expecting you to back away. He slowly licked his lips. You placed your hand on his chest, letting go of the other one as you gripped the side of his shirt, pulling him closer to close the gap between your lips. He chuckled against your lips, pulling your even closer by the hand he placed on your back. “I waited so long for this.” He whispered against you lips. You never really left after this.
May I please request some head canons of Rio with a deaf or hard of hearing S/O 🥺 the thought of him learning ASL for his queen has me soft in my feels at 8am. Pls and thank you 😌

i’m soft as hell right now!! ( i also didn’t use you x rio bc i didn’t think it was appropriate?)
upon first meeting her, he didn’t know she was deaf
he had asked her yes or no questions
and she simply nodded or shook her head
he didn’t think anything of it
until he asked her what her name was
and she was holding up her hand to sign to him
that’s when he realized
and he realized she could reads lips very well
so he started frequenting the book store she worked at more often
she was beautiful and he didnt mind her trying to teach him asl
he looked forward to it everday he saw her
he also spent his free time with countless asl apps and books
just trying to learn to better communicate with her
she was surprised when he would come in and slowly get through conversations
sometimes even looking at his phone to guide him
she found it very cute and she loved that he wanted to learn
and she loved spending time with him
the first time she touched him was to put his hand in the right position
and he felt his heart rate pick up
that’s when he knew he was really into her
so a few months after he had started to visit her
he finally found the courage to ask her out
he practiced the hand movements so many times, he had to get it right
and so he asked her out with no problems
and she was quick to say yes
a few months from there
rio could get by pretty easy and keep conversations with you really well
he always kept at it, he wanted to be fluent for her
because he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her
Heyy. Can you do a HC where Rio is getting jealous by his S/O fangirling over a hot actor during their movie night at home?😁

The gif above is literally how he looks at you when you say it
For the third time
In 15 minutes
Like, he had brought up watching a movie so that the two of you could spend time together
He’s been busy this week
And he missed you
So he figured watching a movie together was a good idea and he had let you pick which one
You picked immediately without a second thought and he had smiled because he just thought it was your favorite movie
Now he sees why you picked it though
And he’s salty
“Is that why you picked this one? So you could thirst after his ugly ass all night?
Doesn’t matter who it is, Rio calls him ugly
Half because he’s teasing you
Half because he’s annoyed
Every time he looks at you, your eyes are glued to the dude and Rio leans over, swiping his hand over your mouth
“Wipe that drool up.”
His attention is more on you than the movie now as he watches you
“God, look at him.”
And that’s the straw that breaks the camels back, Rio snatching the remote and changing the channel, putting on the news while eyeing you
And when you pull him into a hug, he playfully pushed you away some
“Go. With your thirsty ass.”

Hey babes! Can you do a Rio with squishy southern reader that has no problem putting Beth in her place after being particularly mouthy to her in front of Rio?

so this doesn’t follow every part of the request because i got carried away in my idea. i hope you like it though! (gif not mine)
rio wasnt a huge fan of you tagging along when he had to make ‘business’ runs
when he first met you, you were a firecracker
and he liked that
a lot
and that same kind of energy would sometimes get the best of you when you went with rio to meet people
and he had to admit that it was hot seeing you get riled up sometimes
it eventually turned into you accompanying him a lot more
he liked having someone ‘rule’ by his side
his queen
your southern hospitality would go straight out the window when people would try to cheat you
cheat rio
you were actually pretty good at this game
so when you accompanied him to his next visit with some suburban women
he knew it was going to be interesting
you hadn’t yet met them but rio had filled you in on them
when you met them at an underground garage they were quick to eye you
they’d never seen you before so it made sense
“who’s she?”
the redhead known to you as beth spoke up
“you ain’t the one asking questions here.”
rio was never one for chitchat
he had a business to run and things to do
“i think we should know who we’re meeting with. how do we know she isn’t-“
“isn’t what? she ain’t a narc. now where’s the money?”
“in my van, but i need to know who we’re doing business with. who is she?”
you were tired of this
from what rio told you, beth thought she was smart
trying to pull one over on him a few times but rio was smarter of course
you step forward
“i’m the girl who’s going to shot you between your eyes if you don’t give my man his money.”
rio couldn’t hide his smirk
“is this some fucked up bonnie and clyde thing you got going here?”
annie, that one was annie and from what you heard her and ruby were harmless
“something like that. now where’s the money?”
you were the one doing the talking now
“what’s your name?”
beth didn’t know when to stop
“none of your fucking business. now either give him his money or we’re going to have a problem.”
ruby and annie looked terrified to say the least but beth still stared at you with a smugness that made you angry
“you wouldn’t kill us, there’d be too much clean up and -“
before she could finish her sentence you walk up to her with your gun drawn and pointed at her head
she froze
not so smug now
“we’re getting it! we’re getting it now!”
ruby and annie were quick to grab the boxes from their car as you stared down beth
she was close to crying
once they handed the boxes over to mick rio stepped up to your side
a smirk on his face
“alright, mamas. i think she gets it and we got what we needed.”
“next time, bitch, do as your told.”
rio couldn’t help but laugh as he put an arm over your shoulder and led you back to the car
damn, he loved you
“You may have stolen my sweater, but I learned to buy doubles.” And “Hugs are good. Yours are the best” with rio pretty pls 🥺🥰

i love soft boyfriend rio!! enjoy! (gif not mine)
rio was deeply in love with you
no way around it
he just was
he would do anything for you
take you anywhere you wanted
buy you anything you wanted
and he loved doing it too
so he couldn’t understand for the life of him why you insisted on stealing all of his hoodies and sweaters
it got to the point where rio would open his drawer and he could see the bottom of it
only a one or two pairs left
he couldn’t help but laugh but he got a little frustrated when he had nothing to wear one day
but of course he didn’t say anything to you
if you wanted his stuff, that was fine
he’d give you everything he owned if you asked
but he needed to stop having to do laundry every few days because he had nothing else
so he went out and bought some more clothes
he knew what you liked to steal so he grabbed two of each of a few things
you came over the next day, of course wearing one his nike sweaters
you stayed the night like you always did,
the next morning, you went to rios drawer after your shower to find something to wear
you quickly grabbed a comfy looking grey sweater and slid it on
you had some clothes there but you loved wearing his stuff
when rio woke up you weren’t in bed but he heard you in the kitchen
so he got up, showered and made his way into the kitchen too
not before checking his drawer
he laughed to himself when he saw one missing and put on the same one
when you turned to look at him you eyed his sweater
then you looked down at yours (his)
rio smirked
“but i have that one on.”
“you may have stolen my sweater but i’ve learned to buy doubles now.”
“wait, you mean you bought two of each of these.”
you pinched the fabric to emphasize your point
“yeah, you kept taking all mine. you left me with nothing, baby.”
rio walked over to you and took you into his arms
you let out a giggle at the fact that you were matching
“i didn’t take that many!”
“babe, my drawer was empty.”
he was smiling so you knew he wasn’t mad at you
“i’m sorry, they’re just so comfy and...”
“and?”
“and they smell like you. sometimes when you’re away, it feels like you’re here.”
a blush took over your face
rio swore he fell harder
“don’t apologize, baby. keep taking them, i don’t care.”
now that he knew the main reason besides comfort
he didn’t care
hell, you could take everything, he’d be fine with having to do laundry if that’s why you were taking them
“take anything you want, baby. it’s all yours.”
you swore you fell harder
he placed a kiss on your forehead and pulled you into him
you cuddled into his chest
“mmm”
you couldn’t help but relax
he chuckled, “what?”
you knew you were being cheesy but you didn’t care as you spoke
“hugs are good, but yours are the best.”
he smiled
yeah, rio was whipped as hell
Rio x Neighbor Headcannons
Idea from anon: what if reader is rio’s neighbour, and one night while rio has his son something goes down and he needs someone to watch him so reader volunteers 😱 What if rio comes home to a sleepy reader?? 😱😱
*gif not mine*

Rio knew “I’m with my kid, now’s not the time for this bullshit” was a weak–and often irrelevant–thing to say
But it was true
Marcus was on the floor, drawing in his coloring book while “Monster’s Inc” played in the background, and Rio was in the kitchen, his phone to his ear
“Yeah, I know,” he muttered into the phone, trying not to let the irritation he was feeling show in his voice, “I’ll handle it. Nah, don’t even waste your breath. You had your chance.” He hung up
“Hey, papi,” he called to his son, “Daddy needs to run an errand real quick…”

Theoretically if rio's cute neighbour, the one that watched his son, was being harassed by an ex or just some creepy guy. What would rio do?
So you can find the first neighbor headcannon list here. Also, this headcannon list got long as hell… haha, sorry?
*gif not mine*

Rio had been out of town for the last week, handling business
He’d texted you to let you know he’d be back soon–
–partly to be a good neighbor, and partly cause he wanted to see you
The two of you weren’t dating, but there was definitely something between you
(sexual tension)
And Rio was eager to see where it would go
He walked down the hall to his apartment, his bag slung over his shoulder, glad to be back in his own space
Then he saw your door
The wood was cracked, as if someone had punched it or something, and Rio stopped dead in his tracks
He knocked on your door, eyebrows knitted
You answered with a bat in your hands

Headcanon of Rios baby girl calling him dada for the first time and giving him a big smile

He’s just chilling with her on the living room floor
He’s got the big blanket laid out and they’re both sitting on it
He’s got toys everywhere and he’s just watching her, enamored with her
She’s rolling around and worming her away around the blanket and he’s enjoying just watching her
He can tell that she’s looking for something but he doesn’t know what and he watches as she rifles through her toys, rattles, and stuffies and finally she finds what she was looking for
He can tell by the way her eyes light up
He grasps it in her tiny hand and holds it up to him, a little line of drool on her chin
“Dada.”
His eyes practically bug out of his head and she just sits there, holding the toy out and waiting for him to grab it
He takes it quickly and encourages her, wondering if he heard right
“Give me another one, babygirl. Give dada the elephant.”
He points down at the grey stuffie and she follows his hand, grabbing the elephant and holding that out to him as well
“Dada!”
Her voice is louder this time and she smiles wide, the tiny white tooth on her lower gums showing
Rio laughs himself, pure joy in his heart and he quickly picks her up and holds her in his hands, holding her above him as she squeals
“Good girl, baby. Good job. Dada!”
She keeps repeating it then and he brings her down, wiping the little bit of drool off of her chin and holding her close, his heart full and almost bursting
“let daddy handle this”

imagine being the most irresistible thing to rio—
in which he couldn’t wait to get his hands on you
Rio insisted that you all spent the day at the park as a family since it was so nice outside. Even though broad daylight wasn’t necessarily “his scene” considering his lifestyle, he would do anything to spend quality time with his family whenever he got the chance.
It didn’t seem like much to you, but Rio was especially fond of your outfit. Whenever your son wasn’t in sight, he turned his full attention to you, his hands groping you sinfully through the fitted fabric of your leggings.
Rio seemed to be particularly needy lately, wanting to hold you and feel you under him while doing normal household tasks, but you didn’t pay any mind to it.
It wasn’t until he attempted to stick his hand in your pants while your son played soccer with the other children at the park that you spoke up.
Rio seemed notably unnerved, but his next actions shocked you the most.
He called your son over to the bench where the both of you sat to keep watch, and smiled as he spoke. “Go say goodbye to your friends, little man, we gotta get ready to head back home now.”
“But daddy, you said ten more minutes,” your son protested.
“I know, but daddy needs to take care of some important business with mommy before it gets too late.” Rio made sure to turn and make eye contact with you, licking his lips sinfully to give you a sneak preview of what you could expect when you made it home. “Doesn’t mommy look pretty today?”
Can you write an HC of Rio dating a clumsy girl please??

At first, he’s amused by it
He thinks it’s funny
You’re always dropping things
Knocking them over
Spilling juice
Tripping over nothing
And he laughs at you sometimes, playfully of course
It's just a simple little trait of yours
Until one day you almost fall down the stairs
And it’s not that funny anymore
Now he’s watching you like a hawk
He helps you down the stairs
Keeps an eye whenever you’re holding glass
He’s quick to kick a path through whatever you dropped and help you out of the mess safely
The simple dropping things aspect doesn’t bother him
But he’s always somewhat worried that your clumsiness will end up with you getting hurt or injuring yourself
He rearranges things so they’re easier for you to get to them
He knows exactly where the first aid kit is for when you need it
He just tries to look for ways to help you out so that you don’t make things harder or more dangerous for yourself

Guess who's got (even more) the hots for Rio now? *wink, wink* Can I please request a super fluffy headcanon?Rio falls for yn, whose kid is the new friend of Marcus. they met on the playground one day, her kid and Marcus become inseparable and he's just beyond smitten (she's a single mo, the kids dad didn't want anything to do with them ) which only makes Rio go 1000000% overdrive on protective. what do you think?

This was so cute I can’t stand it 🥺
He loves taking Marcus to the park
He loves being able to spend time with his son
To bond and watch him play and be free
He always keeps an eye though, of course
So he notices pretty quickly when Marcus is suddenly playing with a new girl
He hasn’t seen the kid around before so he knows the children haven’t met before but that doesn’t stop the two from happily interacting
Rio watches as Marcus hands the smaller girl his soccer ball for her to play with
She seems confused and Rio smiles warmly as he watches his son take the ball back and then put it down, showing the little girl as he kicks it softly
And then they’re off, running around and kicking the ball back and forth, the laughter audible to Rio from the bench he’s sitting on
He watches as the little girl loses her footing and trips, falling down onto the mulch
Marcus quickly kneels down and starts to dust her off and help her up, a woman now walking toward the children
She smiles warmly at Marcus and kneels down, patting him on the shoulder and Rio realizes that it’s the little girl's mom
They have the exact same face, almost like a clone and Rio stands himself to head over himself
You look up as he nears, smiling yourself while he does the same
“Hi.”
“Hi.”
“Mom, this is Marcus! He’s my new friend!”
You grinned and nodded, waving to the boy as he does the same, introducing Rio to your daughter and telling him her name
Now with the children's intros done, Rio holds his own hand out to you with a warm smile
“I’m Chris. Nice to meet you.”
You tell him your name and he’s looking at you intently, thinking that you’re stunning
He looks down at your daughter and then squats in front of her
“You ok, lil mama?”
She nods quickly and then looks back to Marcus
“He helped me.”
Rio nods and rubs his sons back
“I saw. I’m happy you’re ok.”
The children run off to play together once again and Rio stands back up both of you watching the children play, you and him standing side by side this time
“You guys new here or...”
You don’t go into too much detail but explain that you’ve lived near, you just moved recently to a nicer place
You make small talk until you check your watch, knowing that you need to get home and start dinner
You both round up your kids and they hug each other goodbye, holding on tight as you and Rio smile at the sight
You wave bye to him and he does the same, walking away as you both hold your children’s hands
“See you around.”
And you do
You make it a habit, the children meeting up every day the rest of that week, running and playing while you and Rio make small talk
That Thursday, he shoots his shot as you’re all saying goodbye again
“Maybe we could get coffee or something tomorrow?”
Your smile has his heart beating just a little faster, your nod exciting him
“Yeah, sure. Maybe in the afternoon?”
And it’s a date now, even though neither of you is calling it that
You exchange numbers and make plans, both of you excited when the times comes
You meet up, alone since the kids are still in school
You sit together, talking and laughing and slowly getting to know each other more and more
When he learns that you’re doing everything on you own, he can’t help but feel a little more drawn to and protective of you
“So he’s not in the picture at all?”
You shake your head sadly, looking down at your coffee
“Nope. He wanted nothing to do with me once I got pregnant. Just sends a check and that’s it.”
Rio scoffs and you nod in agreement
“Obviously it makes things much harder without having the help but it’s not even about me. I just wish he would’ve stuck around for her. She deserves to have a dad. All kids do.”
And Rio’s mind is made up then
He’s not going to try and take that place or fill that void because he knows that’s not realistic at the moment with how early things are
But he also knows that he’s stuck on you and that both of you deserve to have a male figure around that you can count on
That you can feel safe with
That can help you both feel protected
And while he doesn’t want to push you, he’s not really prepared to let you or your daughter struggle if he can help
His mind is already made up and he speaks before he can lose the nerve
“Well, anything you need, I’m here. If you need help with something in the house or you need to get out and have a break. If you need to talk. If you feel unsafe. Whatever. I’m here. That includes your princess too.”
And if Rio’s not mistaken, he can see some tears gathering in your eyes as you look at him with a smile
“I haven’t had anyone treat me this nicely in a long time.”
And while you just mean it as a thank you, it seals the deal in Rio’s mind
He’s gonna be there for you and your daughter, to help you both have a better life
And if it develops into something more along the way, he most definitely ain’t gonna complain

How would Rio react to his son telling him about some man at the store that was flirting with his wife? 🤣
Which one is it?
Pairing: Rio x reader
A/N: I absolutely loved this idea, but I thought I read that idea somewhere else already, so I changed it up a bit! Hope that’s okay 🥰
Warnings: None

Rio was busy cutting up some fruit in the kitchen, not really paying much attention to all of the stories Marcus was telling him, as it was just a bunch of the usual playground talk— However, it wasn’t until he mentioned your name, that he realized he had missed most of the story.
“...and that’s when he called her beautiful”
“Hold on a second, who did you say this guy was?” Rio asks him, raising an eyebrow when the eight year old lets out a big sigh.
Grabbing a piece of watermelon, he shoves it into his mouth, “The neighbor from downstairs, dad. He gave her a flower from his garden, too”
Rio nods his head, clearly amused at this whole thing. He figures that there must be some details being left out, or Marcus misreading the situation, so he decided it was best to wait for you before making any assumptions.
Speaking of, it wasn’t even an hour later, before you returned from the grocery store. You walked over to Rio, who was already waiting for you with a smirk on his face, and you wrapped your arms around his neck. “What’s with the face?”
“A little birdie told me that one of our neighbors has his eye out for my girl” Rio explains, a chuckle leaving his body the second you push him away from you, “Oh, so the news is true?”
“Shut up, Rio” you laugh, smacking his chest. If there was something about Marcus, it was that he never missed anything.
He grabs a hold of your wrist and pulls you into him in one swift motion, causing you to roll your eyes, “Which one is it, huh?”
“Does it matter?”
“I think it does, mama”
“Well, if you really want to know,” you began, followed by you calling out to Marcus. Within a few seconds, he came rushing towards you. “Your dad would like to know which one of our neighbors complimented me today”
A big grin was plastered on his face, revealing a couple of missing teeth, “It was the one with the bald spot, who’s a million years old!”
“Thank you, baby. You can go play your games again”
You looked over at Rio again, who acted like he wasn’t trying to pressure you into telling him who it was two minutes ago. “That’s what I thought, Christopher. Planning on confronting a 63 year old man?”
He just shrugs, “I heard some people really enjoy a retirement home, these days.”

Could you write something with Rio x reader? Where reader is Marcus’ nanny and Rio starts falling in love with her. 💙
The Nanny
Rio x fem!reader
wc: 1.4k

Mick helped Rio with a lot of things, but he'd never been more grateful for his services until he recommended Yn for a nanny.
Rio was a single father with an empire to maintain, it was hard being out for most of the day and coming home to a house that was, not disgusting but definitely not as clean as it should be. He was tired whenever he got home and whatever energy he did have left went to his son Marcus. Playing with him, taking him to soccer practice after school, helping him get ready for bed, and reading him stories before he slept. By the time all that was done, he himself would be knocked out in bed or on the couch.
One day, just venting about how everything was going Mick brought up Yn, she used to watch Mick's children as well and she was amazing at her job, the house was always spotless, the food she cooked was phenomenal, not to mention she was great with the kids and helping them in any way they needed. She slowly became a part of their family so much so that they still constantly kept in touch.
Rio wasn't too keen on anyone other than family watching Marcus, but at this point, he was willing to take all the help he could get and so he got her number from his partner and dialled her up explaining the positive things that Mick had told him.
The call couldn't have come at a better time because Yn was in between shitty jobs that she didn't enjoy. She agreed to meet with him at a park not too far from his place, he let Marcus run around while still keeping a watchful eye on him until someone entered his atmosphere, the softest voice saying, "Hi, sorry, are you Rio?"
He was immediately struck by her beauty, he didn't know who he was expecting but it definitely wasn't her. He almost didn't want to bother with an interview, wanted to tell her she was hired on the spot. He proceeded with it anyway but it didn't feel like a regular one, yeah he asked her how many families she worked for, and what interests her about childcare but that was about it. They spent that afternoon just talking about any and everything.
Rio was smitten by her smile, her laughter was infectious. She did a cute little head tilt whenever she laughed which he was sure she was unaware of. He hired her right then and there.
That's when things started to get a little too involved on his side. He was in his feelings over her, it all happened so quickly. The relationship that Yn had built with Marcus was such a sweet thing to watch unravel, he loved watching him get excited to see her walk through that door, the way the two of them would be in the kitchen dicing it up whenever he got home— he had forgotten what it was like to have another person around but he was enjoying this.
"Can I eat the batter?" Rio heard Marcus ask excitedly, he chuckled shrugging off his jacket and hanging it up in the closet, he slid off his shoes dumping them right under his jacket before closing the closet door. He shuffled over to the kitchen catching Yn handing over a spoon with some batter on it to Marcus who eagerly took it and got to work.
Rio asked. "What's going on here? Sweets before bed?" Marcus froze and so did Yn. Marcus whispers. "Maybe if we don't move he won't see us." His dad approached him, dipping his finger in the batter and plopping it on his child's nose. Marcus giggled hugging his dad. "How was your day kiddo?"
"Awesome. Practice got cancelled, so Yn took me to an arcade that she said she used to go to and then we went to get ice cream-"
"You didn't have work to do?" Rio questioned, he knew that Yn had a soft spot for Marcus and it was hard for her to tell him no sometimes. "Yeah, I did it when I came home."
Yn bent her lips in to hide her smile when Rio looked at her with raised eyebrows, she nodded confirming he did finish his work. "Aight. When you're done go get ready for bed. I'll be up in a minute."
Marcus turned to Yn. "Are you coming too?"
She shook her head. "Sorry honey, I have to go home soon." He pouted turning back to his father. "Why can't Yn love with us?"
The question threw the both of them off guard. Rio rubbed the back of his neck letting out a nervous laugh. "I mean, she has her own house and her own space papito."
He hung his head. "I know, but it'd just be more fun."
Yn blushed. "Well, maybe one day I'll spend the night... uh, if that's okay with your dad." Marcus grinned looking up at Rio. He wouldn't refuse that opportunity himself. He nodded his head over to the steps, a silent message for him to get his butt upstairs like he instructed the first time. The young boy sighed and licked off the last of the batter off before dumping the spoon in the sink. "Good night Yn." He said hugging her leg, she bent down pressing a kiss on his head.
"Good night sweets, I'll see you tomorrow."
With the two finally alone, Rio leaned against the counter, eyes dragging down her body as she finished the final touches on the cupcakes they just poured out. "You need help with anything?" Asked Rio. Yn shook her head. "Im just gonna put this in the oven, wash the dishes and be out of your hair."
"You always say that like I don't want you here."
Yn tugged on her bottom lip. "Sorry,"
"It's all good..." His sentence trailed off once she opened the oven and bent over sliding the tray inside, eyes glued to her backside even when she straightened up and closed the door. Yn turned around catching him in the act of pure adoration. Her face felt warm again.
"You're food is in the microwave, might be cold though."
He thanked her and started the microwave to warm up his food. He shoved his hands in his pockets, "So," he started. "How was your day?"
She shrugged. "Good, we just hung out-"
"Nah, nah," Rio leaned on the counter right next to her, his elbow popped her personal bubble once her crossed his arms. "How was your day? Aside from Marcus." Letting her know it was more of a personal question. "Oh, um... it was okay."
He raised his 'brow. "Why just okay?"
"Just tired, I don't know. I didn't sleep last night and then you called for me to come early-"
"You should've said something this morning. I would've cancelled what I had and dropped him off at school instead, let you sleep in."
She shook her head dismissing his offer. "It's cool."
Rio pondered on what Marcus had said earlier, maybe it wouldn't be so bad having Yn become a live in nanny. She lived far from where he was but bless her heart she always made it to the house or the school on time but now he was wondering how early she was waking up, starting to become worried if she was getting enough sleep.
"What if uh... what if you stayed here?"
She stopped scrubbing at the dishes and casted her eyes to the side. "What? Like... live with you guys?"
"Yeah, that way you could get some sleep, don't have to worry about driving so much. You wake up and everything's right here." YN twisted her mouth to the side, she was considering it, hell she wanted to say yes but it would look too weird and eager. Her response was taking a bit too long causing Rio to back track. "Look, it's only a suggestion. There's an extra room upstairs, I'll pay to move all your stuff here. If you want."
Yn looked over at him, a small smirk sat on his face and it caused her to smile. "Okay."
"Yeah?" He sounded a little too excited. "Yeah... it could be fun." Her tone suddenly turned from cheery to deep. "Aight then, it starts tonight. You go catch some sleep, I'll do the dishes when I'm done."
"Rio, it's okay."
His nostrils flared. She was a bit stubborn. "YN."
She sighed putting her hands up in surrender. "When the timer goes off take the cake out of the oven. Marcus' lunch is already packed."
"No problem. You can raid my closet until your stuff gets here. What's mine is yours ma."
She smiled softly. "Thanks. I will see you in the morning."
Rio winked and watched her vanish upstairs. He smirked knowing he has her right where he wanted her.
idk i hope yall like it. yes there will be part 2

Spitting Game.
Rio being jealous imagine.
While you and Rio are enjoying a simple meal, he can't help but be amused at the waiter making heart eyes at you.

"Thank you again for taking me out to eat during my lunch break, I'm starving." You brush a soft peck against Rio's cheek as he's driving.
Rio smiles while placing one hand to lightly squeeze your thigh as a silent response.
It was another Wednesday afternoon, but for you two, it was the first time in weeks where you both had the opportunity to spend quality time together. After continuous weeks of brief goodbye kisses before rushing to work, and hectic schedules causing you both not to meet again until late hours of the night where you were both exhausted and craving sleep. It's safe to say you both mutually missed each other's company.
Rio reverses the car onto the designated parking spot.
"As long as you spoil yourself today by ordering anything you want mama."
Rio then gets out of the car to walk over to open the passenger door.
You get out, reaching to take his hands in yours. "I for real need to catch you up on the office tea from the last couple of weeks."
Rio playfully rolls his eyes while pulling you close to kiss your forehead. "Damn, at this point with all the drama at your workplace you guys should sign a deal to become a reality show."
Entering the building, Rio and you wait a brief period to be seated before being greeted by the hostess and walked over to a table.
"Here are your menus, a waiter should be coming over soon to take your orders!"
You both share your thanks to the hostess before scanning over the menu.
After a minute, you look up at Rio. His eyes are already fixed on you, his hand resting on his chin.
You suddenly feel shy of his gaze upon you.
"You know what you're ordering yet?"
He bits his bottom lip, admiring you.
"Mhm hm."
You playfully role your eyes while reaching over the table to attempt to lightly swat at his chest.
"I'm not on the menu Christopher."
Rio slightly tilts his head, eyes never leaving yours.
"You sure about that darlin'? With the way you're lookin' in that office attire today?"
You blush from his comment. As if on cue, the waiter arrives, breaking up the atmosphere.
"Sorry for the wait folks, what can I get for you both?"
Rio hesitantly removes his gaze off you to look up at the waiter with a smile.
"Ey, wassup man. I'll have the chicken special with just a glass of water for now on the side."
The waiter writes down Rio's order before turning to you.
"And for you ma'am-"
The waiter's eyes widen at the sight of you before slightly shaking his head as if to briefly bring him back to reality.
"Uh-sorry about that, what can I get for you miss?"
You briefly look back at the menu again.
Unbeknownst to you, Rio's demeanor changes. His darkened gaze is how settled at the waiter while broadcasting a tight-lipped smile.
"Sorry, forgot my order for a second." You momentarily chuckle. "I'll get the cheese and ham sandwich with fries, and a peach iced tea as something to drink, thanks."
"No problem," The waiter says, smiling brightly at you while collecting the menus. "I'll bring your drinks and food out in a moment."
While the waiter walks away, Rio turns to look at you with a raised eyebrow.
You look at him, confused.
"What?"
He shakes his head, chuckling.
"You mean you didn't see how homeboy back there was drooling over you?"
You scoff, playfully rolling your eyes.
"No way was he drooling, Christopher. He just kindly asked what we want for lunch."
Rio let's out another chuckle.
"Whatever you say mama."
You take his hand towards your lips to place a soft kiss against it while flashing a reassuring smile.
"Christopher, even if he was interested in me, which he isn't, I would let him know that I already got a man, okay?"
Rio slightly smiles before nodding.
"Great, now lemme finally tell you the work tea to boost your mood! Been waiting for weeks to tell you already!"
While you happily chat away, Rio once again places his hand against his chin to admire you. Even though you were doing the most simplest things such as discussing events at your workplace, his heart would swell in pride and love.
"Here you go sir."
Rio's thoughts are interrupted as his meal and beverage is set before him by the waiter.
"And here you go miss," the waiter says. Accompanied with your meal and tea, the waiter sets down an unfamiliar desert on the table.
You and Rio look at the sugary dish before looking at one another.
Neither of you ordered any dessert.
You look up at the waiter, flashing a polite smile.
"Thank you for your meals but I don't think we ordered dessert yet.."
The waiter smiled at you.
"It's on the house, it's the least I can do for a beautiful lady like yourself. Maybe your man should take notes from me in how to properly treat a gorgeous lady out for lunch!" He joked, briefly giving Rio a "friendly" slap on the back.
Rio laughed in response, but you could tell he found the comment far from funny.
Before you could respond, the waiter winks at you before walking away.
Rio clears his throat, breaking the silence. You turn to glance at him. He's already looking at you, smirking.
"You gonna believe me now?"
Your mouth is slightly open, still taken aback from the waiter's words.
Rio shakes his head, smiling.
"Don't worry about it mama, it's all good. Just enjoy your meal, yeah?"
In the course of eating lunch, the flirtatious event made by the waiter was almost forgotten, almost.
It wasn't until Rio looked at the bill to see how much to pay for the meal where he saw a handwritten phone number written on the bottom of the bill saying "call me beautiful, forget your bum ass date today <3," in which Rio reached his final limit.
Hiding the receipt in his pocket away from you to see, Rio waits for the waiter to hand him change. After doing so, you both start to stand up to head towards the entrance door. Rio hesitantly walks behind you before coming to the decision to walk back and over to the waiter. When standing in front of the man, Rio clasps one hand against the waiter's shoulder.
"Ey man, appreciate you waiting us today. I understand that you makin' heart eyes at my lady, but Iet me personally assure you that she ain't interested."
The waiter tenses up while avoiding eye-contact, suddenly becoming intimidated by the tatted man's presence.
"Eyes on me and listen to what I have to say, yeah?"
Rio smiles before stepping closer to the waiter, his grasp on the man's shoulder becoming tighter while leaning towards his ear.
"The next time we come to eat here and I catch you trying to spit some "bum ass" game like this towards her," Rio states mockingly while holding up the now crumpled written receipt for the waiter to see, "we won't have this same type of chat, understand?"
The waiter gulps in response, nodding his head in agreement.
"Good, glad we understand each other."
Rio smiles once more and pats the man's shoulder as a final intimidating gesture before making his way over to you.
"Ready to head back to work mama?"
Something about a man groveling hard for the love of his life just does something to me 😩

Dark clouds filled the evening sky as a drizzle fell against your windshield. Your thoughts were adrift as you fought to make a proper decision. There were only two choices. Accept the offer and hope for a positive outcome, or leave immediately. The loud vibration of your phone halted your decision-making. Sucking in a shaky breath, you accepted the call. It was your best friend. The word hello barely left your lips as she began firing off questions.
“Did you make it to your destination safely? Are you sure it’s smart to be around him right now? Should you trust him?”
You cut your friend off.
“Sis, calm down. Let me answer at least one of your questions.”
“Seriously though, Y/N. How did he find you?”
“He didn’t find me, per se. We’re just in the same state, city, and establishment. Ironic as it may seem.”
“That’s just a little too coincidental for my liking. Look, just be careful and keep your guard up dealing with him. Y/N, you’ve got enough shit going on. There’s no need to fan the flames. Your situation is bad enough. Accept his offer but keep your head on a swivel. Now, take your ass inside that building. Call me once you’ve settled for the night. Do you need money, sis?”
“How’d you know I’m sitting in the car? Yes, I’m good on cash. I withdrew half of our joint account before I left town. I should’ve emptied the account and made his damn pockets hurt.”
“It’s my job to know. You’re my best friend. I agree you should’ve drained that account, girl.”
You inhaled, attempting to calm your nerves, “alright. I’m going in. I’ll call you later with an update. Love you, sis.”
Even after ending the call, you spent a few more minutes in the driver's seat of your vehicle.
Oh, fuck this. Let me just see where it goes. It’s been years since I’ve been here. It wouldn’t hurt to accept the help of a familiar face.
Exiting the car, you enabled the lock as you walked towards the luxurious hotel lobby. Halfway across the threshold, you felt his presence to your left.
“I was starting to think you had changed your mind. It was as if I could see the thoughts racing through your pretty little head from the lobby window, sweetheart. I’m glad you decided to accept my assistance.”
“I’m not sure I’ve decided to do so. Listen, I appreciate the hotel recommendation, but don’t you think it’s odd, maybe even inappropriate?”
“Why’s that? Are you afraid that I’ll inform your husband of your whereabouts?”
“Cut the shit. Why are you being so helpful? What’s the real motive here?”
“Listen, believe it or not, we’re family. Just because you’re mad at Rio doesn’t mean I should just leave you out here all alone. I don’t plan on telling him I saw you. There are no plans to notify him of your location. I’m securing a place for you to stay because I wouldn’t feel right leaving you to sort everything out alone. I have no idea why you’ve left my dumbass cousin. The fact that you packed your bags and just left suggests it’s serious. I won’t pry. Tell me or don’t, but I will secure and pay for your entire stay here. No arguments.”
“If Christopher finds out you’re helping me stay away from him, he’ll explode. The two of you already have a strenuous relationship.”
“If he finds out. Then he’ll just have to get over it. I honestly don’t give a damn, darlin’.”
“What are you even doing in California, Nick?”
“I’m here on business.”
“What kind of business?”
“I’ll answer that once you explain why you left your husband. What exactly did my cousin do, sweetheart?”
Rolling your eyes at Nick, you walked over to the hotel clerk. She greeted you with a warm welcome, offering you help. Giving her your last name, she informed you that you were staying in the penthouse. About to object and ask for something smaller and less expensive, Nick interjected.
“It’s already been taken care of, cousin.”
Your head snapped in his direction with an incredulous expression.
“Are you out of your mind? No, on second thought, you're not paying for my stay here. I’m not letting you put me in a penthouse and allow people to think I’m your whore. Do you have any idea how that will look, Nick? Are you crazy? You must want Christopher to kill both of us. No wonder you two don’t get along. You love pushing his buttons. The whole damn family’s crazy.”
“Are you finished with your little tirade?”
“I see that you’re also a sarcastic asshole like Christopher.”
“Did you miss the point where I had no intentions of Rio finding out? Just take the room, and enjoy the luxury. I’m sure my cousin has been putting you up in the nicest of places since the day he laid eyes on you.”
“I’m starting to feel like you’re implying I’m a gold digger. Tread lightly. I’d hate to have to kick you in the nuts. Now do us both a solid and change the damn room. Be glad that I’m accepting your help, to begin with.”
“I think it’s best if you know something. I'm just as pushy and controlling as your old man, sweetheart. We both know I’m helping and paying, no matter what you say.”
“Switch. The. Damn. Room,” you growled.
“Fine. Jesus, you’re just as stubborn as your husband.”
“That offer to kick you in the balls still stands. Please stop tempting me.”
“I have a business meeting here at the hotel. I made arrangements for my associate to stay here for a few days. He’s a man of luxury. I’ll switch the rooms for the two of you.”
“Yes, do that, Nick.”
“I’ve got to admit I enjoy hearing you say my name.”
You had grown tired of his antics and landed a sharp jab on his chest.
“One more inappropriate comment and I’ll leave to figure things out myself. I don’t know what you think is happening between Christopher and me, but we are married.”
Not for long, but he doesn’t need to know that.
“Even if I were single, I wouldn’t give you a second glance, honey. Please do not fool yourself.”
“Why is that? Am I not rough enough around the edges, like your hubby?”
“You honestly want to know?’
Nick shrugged his shoulders as if to say, “sure, why not?”
“You’re overly arrogant, and your sense of entitlement is ridiculous.”
He started to interject, but you pressed on.
“I’m no fool, Nick. Deep down inside, you’re hoping that somehow, some way, Rio finds out. I see you. You’ve been sparring with my husband his entire life. You’ve spent your life trying to prove that you are the bigger, better man than Rio. What’s the difference between you two? Nick, you’ve spent your entire existence having everything handed to you. All while my husband did the heavy lifting, grunt work, and the bids. Or have you forgotten about that? Rio earned his empire. He got it out the mud. You just sat and watched, sticking your hand out to take a chunk when it was all said and done. While Rio can be arrogant, it’s warranted. He can talk his shit and back it up.”
Although I’m pissed to the highest level and treading the waters of divorce, I’ll be damned if he sits here and insults everything Rio has worked hard to accomplish.
“Do not flatter yourself. You’re nowhere near half the man my husband is.”
Even if he is a cheating ass bitch.
“Such a beautiful, passionate rebuttal, and yet you’re here. With me, might I add, after walking out on mi primo. Let’s just call a truce. I’ll try not to flirt with you, but I won’t lie and say my cousin doesn’t have good taste,” he teased.
I just insulted him, and he’s still thirsty. Lord, help me.
“For the love of God, Nick!”
“Okay, I’ll back off. Now let’s get you settled into your room, shall we? I’ll accompany you back to your car. Carry your bags up to your room,” he responded, throwing his hands up in surrender.
With squared shoulders, you lifted your chin into the air.
“That won’t be necessary. Don’t you have a meeting to get to?”
“Why do I feel you’re trying to get away from me? Are my good looks too much of a temptation for you?”
“Boy, stop! Don’t nobody want your shallow, overconfident, big-headed ass.”
“You’re so mean, mama.”
Did this motherfu-I know he didn’t just say that! Now he’s pushing it!
Moving closer, you crowded his space. The smirk dancing along the corners of his lips proved he knew the nickname he used was out of line and disrespectful. You looked around. Making sure he’d be the only one to hear what you had to say. Through clenched teeth, your words dripped with venom.
“So long as we both have breath in our bodies, don’t you ever make the mistake of calling me that again. Please do not get it confused or twisted. Rio did not marry a weak bitch. Call me that again. I’ll do Rio a solid and spray you full of bullets myself.”
“Aww, why not, sweetheart? Does it make you miss hubby?”
“Keep playing with me, Nick. It won’t be funny to you when I want to laugh too. I’m over this conversation. Thank you for the room. Now, leave me alone. Go make yourself someone else’s problem.”
“Fine. I’ll come by and check on you later, prima.”
“No, you will not. Goodbye, Nick.”
If Christopher finds out about this, he will lose the little sense he has left. Wait, why do I even care? It’s fuck him from here on out.

“I Gave You More Than You Wanted. I Gave You More Than You Needed. So Tell Me, How Does It Feel To Lose The One You Believe In?”
-Chloë.

The suite turned out to be very spacious and elegant. Much better than the cramped room you had stayed in the night before. You trudge through the doorway of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel. It hadn’t taken long for you to unpack and settle in. Fresh out of a hot shower, you mope to the bed and fling yourself backward. Thoughts race through your head. You hadn’t taken the time to soak in everything. You were too busy trying to run from the situation at hand. Yes, there had been many crying sessions and stewing in anger. Now that you were in another state and settled, it hit you.
Did I just walk away from everything I’ve known for the last four years? The one person I trusted with my heart. My soul. He ripped it out and stepped on it. The audacity. The unmitigated gall to play with my love and emotions. Did he? Rio did that shit, right? How can he possibly have a reasonable explanation?

“You Never Miss A Good Thing ‘Til It Leaves You. And Finally, I Relaize That I Need You. I Want You Back. Baby Girl, I Need You Back. Gotta Have You Back, Babe.”
-Usher.

Just as the tears started to roll down your face, a call came through. You huffed, tapping the ignore button. Seconds later, it started again. The call went unanswered a second time, and a text came through.
It’s me. Please answer your phone.
The phone lit up once more. With a heavy sigh, you accepted the call.
“What do you want, Mick? I don’t want to talk to him, and he knows that.”
“Since you won’t communicate with him. I’m in charge of finding out if you’re okay. I’d personally like to know myself. You good boss lady?”
“Mentally and emotionally, we both know the answer is no. Physically? I’m breathing and somewhat eating. That’s the best I can give you. I appreciate you checking on me. As for your boss? He can go fuck himself. Goodbye, Mick.”
“Hold up, boss lady. I need to see it for myself.”
Mick sent a FaceTime request. With an irritated sigh, you angle the camera so he’d only see your face and a white wall. You begrudgingly accepted the call.
“See. Just fine.”
He frowned as he looked at your red puffy eyes. Mick could tell you hadn’t been sleeping much.
“Yes, I’m aware my eyes are puffy. I’ll be fine. Bye, Mick.”
Mick was about to plead with you to come home, but his face vanished from the screen. Your eyes sparked with resentment and anger as Rio appeared.
“Mama…”
“What part of I don’t want to speak to you don’t you comprehend,” you spat.
“Can you just fuckin’ listen to me?”
“You suddenly have so much to say! That’s because you no longer have me sitting at home. I’m no longer playing my role as your stupid little unsuspecting wife. No, not anymore. Stay the fuck away from me. Don’t call, don’t text me. Tell your boys to stop looking for me. There is nothing we need to discuss!” “Oh, I’ma keep calling and texting. Please, believe me. Mama, I will find you. You’re coming home; we gon’ work this shit out. Just let me explain everything. You’ll feel silly when it’s all said and done, darlin’.”

“You Didn’t Say It, But You Said It…”
-Chloë.

“Did you fuck that bitch, Rio?”
He looked at you with anger written on his face as his jaw flexed.
“That’s what the fuck I thought. Silence speaks volumes. Fuck out my face. Go find your whore and live a shitty life.”
“Ma-.”
You ended the FaceTime, not giving him another moment of your time.

I'm Going Out Of My Mind, And I'm Running Out Of Time. Oh, I Just Wish I Could Find You, Girl.
-Usher.

Rio stood there, rage coursing through his body. He gripped the phone in his hand tightly, “Fuck!”
“Anything I can do,” Mick questioned.
Rio took a deep breath, exhaling slowly. He handed Mick his phone.
“Let’s take a ride. Red better have a plan. If I don’t get my wife back soon, it’s game over for her.”
“You think she’s the reason behind this?”
“It doesn’t appear that she knows what’s going on. We both know that her innocent deer-in-headlights expression can sometimes be a facade.”
“You’re right about that.”
“We have to find her. I have to fix this. Real shit, man, I need her. I love that stubborn ass woman.”
“Then let’s handle business and get her back.”

“Loved You More Than Ever, More Than My Own Life. The Best Part Of Me I Gave You, And It Was Sacrificed.
-Beyoncé.

Still reeling from the conversation, you tossed your phone across the bed. Everything was just too much. You were overflowing with anger, sadness, and grief. The betrayal of it all had you drowning. A sorrowful cry spilled from your lips as you curled into a ball. You remained in that position, cradling your face until sleep consumed you.
Hours later, your eyes fluttered open. The sun had set, and your room darkened from nightfall. Your feet flung off the side of the bed as a headache throbbed in your temples. The rumbles coming from your stomach echoed throughout the room.
I haven’t had shit since this morning. This stupid ass man got me going through it. I need a damn drink.
You called the front desk to ask if room service was still available. To your surprise, the clerk recommended the hotel restaurant. She explained that both tables and bar space were available. You thanked her for the recommendation as you dug through your wardrobe.
Let me at least look presentable. I can’t be walking around this nice hotel looking bummy. If I play my cards right, I may find my next husband. Nope, scratch that. Fuck these cheating ass men.
Rio sat slumped in the passenger seat with Mick at the wheel. Leaning back on the headrest with his hood pulled up. Rio sat there as his mind kept going over everything. They pulled into the park, waiting for dingbat and her crew. Once they were in sight, Rio gave his boy a nod. Mick exited the car, exchanging duffle bags with Beth. She told him she would have the next one ready at the appointed time.
“Did you find a way to handle the situation we discussed the other day?”
Beth shook her head with pleading eyes. She promised to find a way to get to the bottom of it. Mick nodded in reply. As she started to leave, Mick halted everyone’s movements.
“Backseat now. We’re going for a ride.”
With a frightened look, Beth started walking toward the vehicle. Mick stopped her again.
“Not you. I’m talking to you half pint,” Mick ordered, pointing at Annie.
Annie’s eyes stretched wide as the three women gawked at him. With a devious smile, he taunted, “don’t worry, I’ll take real good care of her.”
Beth walked over to the passenger window and pounded on it. She took two steps back when Rio rolled down his window. The look he gave stole the breath from her lungs.
“Is there a problem, darlin’,” his question dripped with danger.
“I told you I would get you answers. I-I just need a little more time.”
“That’s cool, but you may want to watch your nephew for little sister. His mama’s going to kick it with Mick for a bit. Got a little side hustle for her.”
“I can do it.”
“Did I ask you to?” Rio snapped.
“Please keep her safe,” she whimpered.
“Get me that information. Baby sister will come back better than she left. Stay safe, Elizabeth. We don’t want anything bad happening to the little mama to be right? It’s not very responsible of you to be downing liquor bottles, don’t you think,” Rio questioned in a knowing tone.
Elizabeth looked at him with fear in her eyes.
“I notice everything, darlin’. We’re going to take a ride tomorrow. Just the two of us. Check on the little bambino.”
He rolled up his window before she could say anything else. They sped off, leaving Beth to explain everything to Ruby.
Not wanting to turn too many heads, you settled on a simple black dress. You figured it was appropriate, given that it matched your mood. The form-fitting bodycon paired well with the dark red heeled sandals and lipstick you sported. Checking that the room key was inside your handbag, you exited the room.
The hostess gave you a warm greeting. She granted your request for a seat at the bar. As you claimed your spot, the gentleman behind the bar asked for your drink of choice. His eyes had roamed your body from the minute you sat down. It hadn’t gone unnoticed. Prepared to answer his question with disinterest, someone stepped up next to you. Strong hands braced against the top of the bar. A silky baritone sounded, making your breath hitch.
Are you serious? Who else am I going to run into? This day is beyond me. Maybe it’s not him. I have to be trip-.
“She’ll have a whiskey sour. That’s what she used to drink whenever a frown touched that beautiful face.”
Yes. That would be the one and only.
You turned your head slowly to take in the familiar voice. His face was as beautiful as you had remembered it.
“Hello, mi amor. May I join you? I could use a drink myself.”
Confusion and shock danced across your face. You looked back and forth between the thirsty bartender and your long-lost friend. His eyes connected with yours as that handsome smile crept across his face. He signaled for the bartender to go ahead with the order. Taking the seat next to you, he chuckled at your expression.
“It’s nice to see you after all these years, querida. What brought you back here? Last I checked, you were happily in love. Are you and the husband here on business?”
Hearing him mention Rio snapped you out of it.
“Miguel,” you whispered.
His eyes crinkled as he gave you another beaming smile.
“It’s good to see you again. How have you been? Are you enjoying married life? What’s it been a year or two since the I Do’s?”
The smile that had occupied your lips for a moment faltered. Your eyes started to water as you looked away and faced the bar. Miguel’s hand covered yours gently.
“What is it, sweetheart? Tell me what’s bothering you.”
Just as you were about to answer him, a familiar pain in your ass sounded off behind the two of you.
“Yes, prima. I’d like to know what’s going on as well. Most importantly, how do you know my associate here,” Nick questioned.
Nick waited for an answer as he sat there looking smug. A knowing look crept onto his face as if he had discovered a secret.
“How do you two know each-wait? Prima? You’re related to her husband?”
“What business are you two dealing in? Are you working with Rio, Miguel?”
Before he could answer, Nick answered for him.
“Relax, prima. It’s my business deal. Rio isn’t involved. We do have individual businesses. We butt heads too much to do everything together.”
“I wouldn’t do business with your husband without telling you, querida. Then there is the fact that we’ve never met in person. The meeting is my first encounter with your cousin. I’m sure you know Rio wouldn’t want to go into business with me.”
“And why is that? He used to tap that or something, prima? Maybe I should give Rio a call.”
“Are you interested in talking about business or not, Nick? That is the only thing that needs to be questioned or discussed,” Miguel responded in an aggravated tone.
“Hey, whatever you say, man. She knows I’m just teasing.”
“Then perhaps you should find someone else to aggravate. The lovely lady certainly doesn’t enjoy it. Is our table ready?”
“Yes,” Nick bit back.
“Then let’s get this over with. I do have other business to attend to. You have my attention for the next hour. We aren’t starting on a good note, wouldn’t you agree, Nick? You need to fix that. I assume the warehouse visit has been scheduled and prepped for tomorrow. Let’s make our way to our reserved table.”
“Right this way.”
Miguel’s hand gave your shoulder a light squeeze before he got up to follow Nick.
“I’m sure you still have Nestor’s number,” he asked, tilting his head toward his security/cousin.
“If you need anything, give me a call. It was a pleasure running into you, querida.”
You gave him a weak smile and nodded softly. Turning back to the bar, you downed the whiskey sour. Your fingers tapped the bar for another. The drink was halfway to your lips when Rio started blowing your phone up. With a deep sigh, you ignore it and turn your phone off.
“Bartender? Go ahead and bring me two more.”
The universe is funny as fuck. This man’s going to find me. I can just feel it.
You rubbed your temples as you contemplated where to go from here. One hour, four drinks later, you sat there wallowing in your pain. Thankfully you had made a conscious decision after the last drink to switch to a glass of red wine. Feeling buzzed, you decided it would be your last drink of the night. Taking your time with it, you nursed it for a while. Just as you had swirled the remaining liquid in its glass, Miguel reclaimed his seat from earlier.
“A penny for your thoughts, querida?”
Your eyes drifted from the stem of your wine glass to Miguel’s face. He noticed that you were slightly inebriated. His hand reached up and brushed your hair out of your face. The palm of his hand rested on your cheek.
“Don’t you have other meetings to get to?”
“I just wanted that smug asshole to hurry up and discuss the deal. The sooner we did that, the quicker your dear cousin would be gone,” he replied sarcastically.
“Hmm. Smug bastard, huh? That best describes his thick-headed ass,” you toast, downing the last of the wine.
“You shouldn’t be drinking at a bar by yourself, amor. I’ve watched half the men in here ogle you the entire time you’ve been here. Come. Nestor and I will escort you to your room.”
Miguel didn’t want to give you time to protest or continue drinking. He paid your tab and held his hand out. You stared at it for a moment.
“Though you’re wearing heels, those cute little legs still dangle from the stool. Come, sweetheart. I promise to be a respectable gentleman. I don’t make it a habit of approaching married women,” he chuckled.
Not giving it any more thought, your hand gently grasped as he helped you down. The elevator ride was quiet. That was until you blurted the one question that lingered in the back of your mind.
“Where’s your wife, Miguel?”
You noticed how his jaw ticked, nostrils flaring slightly.
“She had other plans tonight,” he answered.
Before you could ask him to elaborate, the elevator dinged.
“I do believe this is your floor.”
Miguel placed his hand on the small of your back. Nestor stepped aside, allowing you two to step out first. He asked for your hotel key as you walked down the hall. You turned the corner as you placed the key card in his hand.
“You said the first door on the left, right?”
“Ye-.”
You lost your train of thought as you started to panic. There was a large bouquet of yellow roses in front of your door.
“Shit.”
“What’s wrong, querida,” Miguel asked as he rubbed the small of your back.
The worry in your eyes set off alarm bells in his mind. Miguel took a look and noticed the flowers. The distress about possibly working with Rio. The teasing from Nick. He turned to face you, blocking the view of your door. His hand caressed your face.
“Tell me the truth. Are you in danger? Did you leave your husband, querida,” he whispered as he searched your eyes for the truth.
No longer able to keep the emotions bottled up, your lip trembled as the tears slipped down your face. You nodded slowly. Miguel frowned at the response. He pulled you into an embrace as you cried into his chest. His hands rubbed your back as he attempted to soothe you.
The two of you stayed that way for a few moments. Pulling back from his embrace, you wiped at your tears. Miguel’s hands slid up and down your arms.
“Did he hurt you,” he asked, jaw ticking again.
“Rio would never put hands on me. He-he.”
Unable to finish the sentence, a fresh set of tears spilled.
“Okay, okay. Shhh. I think I’m starting to understand. Come here.”
He embraced you again. Once he calmed you, Miguel escorted you to the door. He nodded at Nestor, signaling him to pick up the flowers. Unlocking your suite, he grabbed the flowers and followed you inside.
“Thanks for getting me here safely. Sorry, I just unloaded all my emotions on you like a crazy person.”
“It’s fine, querida. That’s what friends are for. We were close once. Lost time won’t affect that.”
His thumbs swept residual tears away. He bent to your feet and helped you out of your heels. Standing, he grabbed your hand and held it. His finger lifted your chin.
“Try and get some rest. Come deadbolt the door behind me.”
Following him to the door, you watched as he opened the suite door. Stepping into the hallway, he turned to speak with Nestor.
“Have one of the other men come and watch her door for the night. If it’s not me, no one gets in here. Don’t even let them knock. Watch the door until your replacement gets here.”
Nestor nodded in agreement taking his position in front of your door. Miguel turned to you, his hand running down your arm again.
“If you need me, I’m on the top floor. Just ask whoever is guarding the door to call me. Better yet, here. Call me if you need anything.”
Miguel handed you a card that had both his business and personal number.
“Okay,” you whispered.
“I’m serious.”
“I’ll be fine, Miguel. Rio’s just adamant about us staying together. He would never physically harm me.”
“You can’t blame him for wanting to work it out. Any man would be a fool not to fight for you. Still, if you need me, call me.”
“Yeah, because Emily would just love that. She’s never been fond of me.”
“Don’t worry about her. I’m the least of my wife’s worries at the moment.”
No longer wanting to discuss his personal life, Miguel pecked your forehead.
“Goodnight, Y/N.”
Locking the deadbolt behind him, you made your way to the bedroom. Stripping out of the tight dress, you bundled up in a complimentary robe. Falling into the couch, you turned your phone back on. Six texts and two voicemails. You rolled your eyes. Noticing the flowers, you mumbled to yourself, “fucking Nick probably snitched. Little shit.”
You snatched the card from the bouquet and flipped it over. Your breathing sped up as your mind started to race.
What the fuck? I don’t need this shit. What next?
Hands trembling, you re-read the card.
“I see hubby’s out of the picture. Who’s going to protect you now? What better way to kick Rio when he’s down? He would probably be beside himself if his precious jewel came up missing. Stay safe, pretty lady.”
To top it off, now I have to run from his ops too? You have to be shitting me!
Snatching the door open, Nestor saw the look of fright in your eyes.
“The flowers aren’t from my husband. I’m pretty sure whoever sent them just threatened me. Tell Miguel I appreciate everything he did tonight, but I’m getting the fuck out of here.”
Nestor talked you down. He instructed you to grab anything needed for the night and lock up. In less than twenty minutes, Nestor was escorting you to Miguel. He was anxiously waiting for your arrival. His hands instantly cradled your face.
“You’re staying with me for the night. We’ll figure out where you’ll go from here in the morning. Sleep in the bedroom. I’ll take the couch.”
“That’s nonsense. I can sleep on the couch.”
“No, you won’t. No arguments.”
“Why are most men in my life so damn bossy.”
“They also seem to have the same types of occupation. You don’t seem to like men who like legal work, querida.”
“Ha, ha. You’re so hilarious.”
“There’s nothing wrong with that. Those mentioned tend to be extremely successful at it,” Miguel replied with a shit-eating grin.
“Anyway.”
The conversation was interrupted by yet another call from Rio.
“Look, I'm going to have to answer him. I’ve been ignoring him for hours now. I know his veins are about to pop out of his neck.”
You excused yourself, taking the call in his bathroom.
“For someone who’s always so busy, you sure are blowing up my phone. Go back to ignoring me, please. I don’t have the energy to go back and forth with you, Rio. I’m tired and stressed out.”
“Just come home, mama. I’ll leave and stay somewhere else. Just come home,” he slurred.
“Are you at that stupid bar that demands your attention as well? Go home, Rio. Sleep off the liquor.”
“I gotta be near you, mama. Who's going to protect you? What if someone tries to harm you while you’re not with me? I can’t live with that shit. I need my wife to come home. Come on, mama.”
“It’s a little too late to protect me now. Isn’t it? Don’t worry about me, Rio. I can handle this shit myself,” you snapped, quickly regretting the last sentence.
“Handle what shit, mama,” he barked.
Fuck.
He instantly knew something was up.
“It’s okay, Rio. I’m a big girl. Luckily my stupid ass husband taught me how to use a gun. You know I stay strapped.”
“Either come home or tell me where the fuck you are. I’m going to light whatever city you’re in up. Better yet, I’m about to spray any suspected target.”
“Don’t be stupid. There is no need to start a war on my behalf.”
“I’m not going back and forth about this anymore. Tell me where you are.”
“No, goodbye, Rio.”
“Don’t fucking hang-.”
Miguel stood propped against the door frame.
“I know he fucked up, but it sounds like he wants to keep you out of harm’s way.”
“Don’t, Miguel.”
He placed his hands up in surrender.
“If he can’t do that for you, I will.”
Yeah, cause my husband would just love that. Jesus, be a therapist. I need Iyanla to come and fix my life, bruh.

“I Can Understand Why You Want A Divorce Now. Though I Can’t Let You Know It, Pride Won’t Let Me Show It.
-Jay Z.

Rio had been sitting in his bar for a few hours. Though the argument made him even more aggravated, he took your advice. He wasn’t in the mood to take a chance at catching a DUI. Rio instructed Mick to drive him home.
He swaggered into the family room and lounged on the couch. The house was painfully quiet without your presence. Rio’s thoughts drifted to you as his chest tightened at the thought of you being in danger. Sighing, he closed his eyes in an attempt to shake the negative thoughts. Your scent still lingered throughout the house. Nothing seemed to help him shake the memories and intrusive thoughts. His eyes fluttered open, nostrils flaring. Rio was trying to be patient with you, but it was starting to wear thin. You could be mad for however long, but divorce was out of the question. Could he do a better job at loving you? Yes, and he was willing to do so. Would you be willing to give him another chance?
Rio’s buzz had started to wear off. Blowing out a breath, he stared at a picture of you two. The frame on the console table contained a photo from your first anniversary. Shaking his head, he stood up and walked over to the bar cart. Throwing back another glass of brown liquor, he fixed one more and reclaimed his seat. He asked Alexa to play a specific song. The lyrics hit home as he nodded to the beat and recited them. Song Cry by Jay Z flowed through the entertainment system.
“They say you can’t turn a bad girl good, but once a good girl’s gone bad, she’s gone forever. Mourn forever. Shit, I gotta live with the fact I did you wrong forever.”
What happened to everybody deserves a second chance, mama? Damn, I miss my wife.

It hasn’t even been a full day and I’m already impatient for part two 😅… No seriously this deserves more attention 😩
Complicated.
angst imagine with Rio.
After days of not seeing Rio, you two argue about questionable reasons behind why he's spending so much time with certain suburban moms.

It's the odd hours of the night when Rio turns the keys to unlock his apartment door, rolling his neck in frustration and fatigue.
He spent the whole day running around trying to handle business, but the suburban moms--Annie, Ruby, and Beth (especially Beth, that woman was working his last nerves)--were messing with his chances of making money, causing him to speak sense into them. He was growing tired of the moms constant nagging and difficulties. The idea of being away from you and Marcus for the past few days wasn't bringing him to have any better of a mood. Even with the daily messages he sent you:
"How's your day mama?"
"The way I'm finna kiss you when I get home."
"Tell Marcus papa says hi."
it never made up for the idea of physically being with his two favorite people.
Rio's hand makes contact to open the unlocked doorknob to enter his apartment. Being welcomed by the dimmed entrance hallway, Rio makes an effort to quietly remove his coat and shoes, careful not to wake you or Marcus. He takes a deep breath, taking in the rare moment like tonight, where he has the opportunity of being in his comfort place, his solitude of being home.
He walks over to your shared bedroom, expecting to find you already fast asleep, until noticing that might not be the case as he sees from the hallway, that the bedroom light is still on.
Maybe she fell asleep and forgot to turn the lights off.
With a raised eyebrow, Rio softly presses a hand against the bedroom door to let himself in, still cautious of the possibility that you might be asleep. Instead, his eyes lay upon a different sight. There you are, sat upright on the bed, focused on reading a novel. The light from the desk lamp on your side of the nightstand captures every attribute of your beauty; from the eyes your narrow while your nose slightly scrunches upwards in a manner for you to better concentrate to your book. Even with your bonnet on and baggy hoodie in the odd hours of the night, it's moments like now where Rio finds you the most beautiful. While one of your hands grasps the book, the other hand softly stokes Marcus's hair, as the boy's head is gently laid against your lap, fast asleep. Rio smiles, taking mental pictures of this adorable sight to keep in his mind. As Rio starts walking over to your shared bed, you swiftly look up at your husband with a shocked expression, briefy surprised by his unannounced presence. You then stop his movements by putting a finger over your mouth before pointing down at Marcus, indicating for him to be quiet.
"Hey beautiful, why ain't you asleep yet?" Rio whispers.
"Cause we were waiting up for you, but Marcus grew tired and fell asleep. Promise I'd wake him up when you'd finally come home." You whisper back, sternly. Rio frowned, immediately picking up on the tone of resentment in your voice. Although hesitant to ask, he drops the potential risk in starting an argument, as the idea of his son waiting so long to the point of falling asleep just to see him crushed him.
"I'm here now."
You give Rio a fixed look before looking down at Marcus, letting out an exasperated sigh. As much as you wanted to give Rio an earful, you knew that waking up Marcus and seeing him beam from the sight of his father was more important. You softly tap Marcus's shoulder while leaning down to kiss his forehead as a gentle effort to wake him up.
"Hey sweetheart, wake up, guess whose here."
Marcus slowly wakes up, rubbing his eyes. He slowly sits up, droopy eyes wandering across the room. It wasn't until he makes eye contact with his father when his eyes widen.
"Dad, you're home! I missed you!"
Marcus practically jumps off the bed to hug his father, in which Rio picks him up for an embrace while planting a kiss to his forehead.
"Missed you too champ! I know you want to talk but you gotta sleep buddy. I'm sorry for makin' you wait up to see your old man. Promise I'll make it up to you, yeah? Tell you what, tomorrow we can go to the park to catch up on our soccer practice, how's that?"
Marcus nods his head sleepily before resting his head against Rio's shoulder.
Rio turns to you.
"I'm gonna put him to bed real quick, I'll be back."
You nod silently in agreement while Rio steps away to tuck Marcus goodnight in his room.
After a few moments, Rio returns to find you no longer reading. Instead, your back is turned against him, laid down on the bed. He lightly shakes his head before walking towards the closet to find a fresh pair of clothes to change into.
"When you're done doin' what you gotta do in the room, turn the lights off so I can be able to sleep."
Rio halts his steps, once again detecting the blatant attitude in your tone of voice. He hated whenever you both would go to sleep upset at each other. He especially wasn't fond of your anger towards him tonight because all he wanted to do right now is shower, change, and jump into bed and be able to hold you into the wee hours of the morning. He missed you like hell, and there was no way he wasn't gonna try to solve his issue tonight.
"Aight mama, what's up?"
"Nothin, just tired. Goodnight Christopher."
"Nah, something's up. You gotta issue with me? What's with the attitude?"
"My issue-" you say, adruptly sitting up, fuming. You glance up to make eye contact with his standing figure. "-Is that I have to console Marcus when he cries about how he hasn't seen his father in days, meanwhile you go around entertaining these other mothers."
Rio's eyes narrow, his own growing irritation becoming more apparent.
Entertaining other mothers?
"C'mon Y/N, you know it ain't like that."
"Oh really?" You scoff, unconvinced.
Truth was, you were tired. You knew the real reason he was out all hours of the night is because he had some unexplainable interest with those suburban moms, especially the ginger- haired one, Elizabeth. Since the time she "ran" into you both that one time when you and Rio had a casual date night at the bar. You observed, in irritation, how the married women shamelessly blatantly had eyes for your husband. She annoyingly kept twirling her hair and batting her lashes at him. Even with Rio shutting her down eventually, it didn't go past you the way you saw the certain glances Rio and that woman shared.
Rio pokes his tongue against the inside of his cheek.
"The hell is that supposed to mean? If you gotta accusation, then say it darlin."
You roll your eyes in annoyance. "What I mean, is that you are running around after some red-headed woman for "business" knowing fully well how she thirsts over you 24/7. I understand how the expectations of your job is demanding, but I ain't stupid to see that there is something beyond business that's making you invested with those mothers."
Rio stalks his way towards you, bringing a hand to rub his chin. Even with his seemingly calm appearance, you could tell he was losing his patience in this conversation, fast.
"What did I just say, darlin'? It ain't nothin more than business with those suburban housewives. Things have simply gotten... more complicated at the moment with how they are bein' sneaky behind my back and be messin' with my money."
You search his face to detect any deception.
Why can't I seem to fully believe you?
You let out a shaky sigh, refusing to engage in the conversation any longer. You didn't want to end the night in a potential yelling match when Rio just got home and with your current state of feeling fatigued and angry. You turn to the bed to grab a pillow before making the effort once more in looking at your husband.
"You might be right, but at this time I just need my space. I'm gonna sleep in the guest bedroom. Goodnight Christopher."
