TO THE GREAT MAC MILLER
i have so many regrets and wishes when it comes to mac miller.
i regret only knowing him at first as ariana grande’s boyfriend.
i regret only coming to appreciate him and his music after he passed.
i wish i could’ve seen him perform live, saw him do what he loved.
i wish i could told him how much he meant to me, and how much he changed my life.
i now listen to mac every day. every single day. he has become such an integral part of my life, and i miss him so much. he is my happy place.
there are times where i catch myself crying while listening to ‘congratulations’, or laughing when ‘under the weather’ plays.
mac touched the hearts of everyone he met. i only wish i could’ve been one of those people. but we knew that he was in pain. his demons were too strong for him to handle.
mac was and still is an angel. while i myself am not religious, i still like to believe he’s looking down at me from above, guiding me through life’s hardships.
he is my home wallpaper on my phone. so whenever i go on my phone, i see his smiling face and he reminds me that everything will be okay.
he posted a screenshot of a note from 2016 on his facebook. in it, he wrote ‘don’t stop dreaming, don’t stop doing, and always continue.’ i think that is a beautiful phrase to live by. it brings a smile to my face, and reminds me to keep going.
i want to be strong for mac. i want to keep his memory alive my being strong even when i think i can’t be. mac taught us all that even when life was kicking our asses, we should still keep going.
thank you, malcolm, for everything you did. you were a true blessing, and too good for this world.

Today at work I saw a couple they happen to stop by the restroom, the girl went in the women restroom first as the boyfriend waited outside for her. I noticed his “Don’t Trip” cap which made me approach him. I told him I like his cap and I’m a Big Mac Miller fan too, he was excited to know I listen to him as well. His girlfriend came out of the restroom and asked what’s going on? The boyfriend said he’s a Mac Head too, she smiled and said nice to meet you and said like wise. I asked if they were L.A. locals and they said no and they asked why? I gave them a location of a Mac Miller mural, they looked it up and saw it the girlfriend almost cried . They were extremely happy and said they couldn’t wait to visit it.
I love running into Mac fans at work, it’s always a great small conversation
