Went to a robot fighting competition, more deets here!

Hi everyone! I had some fun news to share. I appeared in a local magazine where I talked about my experience with BattleBots and robot combat! Figured I'd share the article here so you could read it if you like!

I went to a bot fighting event over the weekend and got 3rd place!

Hello all! Derin here with an update on Fluorine, my robot.

I've made a number of improvements to the robot recently

- A new weapon that weighs 125 grams, over a quarter of the total weight.

- A redesigned weapon frame that is a bit lighter and just looks better.

- A slightly modified chassis which fixes a small fitting issue with the frame not sitting "flush" with the top surface of the chassis.

- A redesigned top plate that gets rid of a structural weakness the old one had, namely the grills

I'm hoping these changes will allow Fluorine to perform even better at future events, and I look forward to testing them in Tallahassee in a few weeks!

Hello all! I have some fun robot related news to share. Last weekend I went to Build Fight Fun in Tallahassee and GOT FIRST PLACE WITH FLUORINE!!!

I honestly did not expect this at all, I figured Fluorine would go 3-2 at best and lose in spectacular fashion. I don't really have the words to describe how happy I am about this.

I've been working on Fluorine in various forms for over 3 years, and it makes me happy to finally see the robot performing as well as it has been.
