The upgraded Fluorine has been completed! The weapon angle has been reduced while still keeping it hitting low. This means that the bot won't flip itself over when it hits things. BEHOLD THE NEW AND IMPROVED FLUORINE!!! After several months of development and a week of the robot just refusing to work, I would like to proudly introduce the newest version of Fluorine's kinetic variant. Features: -Better weapon placement for increased stability and more optimal strikes against opponents -More powerful weapon motor for better hots in general -Longer and shorter chassis both for ease of putting the electronics in and so that it can still be effective while upside down -More vibrant color scheme Overall this is a lot better than the... previous iteration of Fluorine's spinner variant. Well day 1 of Robot Ruckus 2022 has concluded. I did fairly ok all things considered. Fluorine is currently 2-0, putting on a decent performance in both of its fights and doing a lot of damage! Chloride fared a lot worse. It got absolutely demolished in its rematch with Big G. I lost 2 gearboxes, 2 wheels and an esc. I had to buy a new but different model of esc to replace it. Thankfully I was able to get Chloride back into shape. Welp, Robot Ruckus has ended and i ended up going 2-2 with Fluorine and 1-1 with Chloride. Fluorines new spinner worked very well, doing a lot of damage to my opponents. I already have a lot of improvements in mind to fix the issues I had with it during the event. Chloride through, well let's just say that this version of Chloride is getting retired. However I am excited to announce that I am currently building Chloride mk2. I hope to make the new version a lot easier to maintain than the old one. Overall I had a lot of fun at this event and I hope to return to come back and do better next time. Also congrats to @gator_battlebots for taking first place in BOTH INSECT WEIGHT CLASSES. Well I went to the Florida State Fair Frenzy yesterday and ended up going 2-2 overall. Not exactly my best performance, but I was a good learning experience. Fluorine's new disc performed really well, causing some major damage to its opponents. Fluorine also ended the event in better shape than normal, I only had to replace the power switch and a gearbox. Everything else was fully functional after the event was over. Hello all! I have some fun robot related news to share. Last weekend I went to Build Fight Fun in Tallahassee and GOT FIRST PLACE WITH FLUORINE!!!

I honestly did not expect this at all, I figured Fluorine would go 3-2 at best and lose in spectacular fashion. I don't really have the words to describe how happy I am about this.

I've been working on Fluorine in various forms for over 3 years, and it makes me happy to finally see the robot performing as well as it has been.
