Russian military has bombed the largest children's hospital in Ukraine

Okhmatdyt (Охматдит in Ukrainian is short for охорона материнства й дитинства = protection of motherhood and childhood) is known to most Ukrainians, even those who have never has children or have never been to Kyiv, as the main children treatment facility in the country.

In the morning of July the 8th, about 60% of the facility have been destroyed by a Russian missile Х-101.

As of now, it is known of at least two dead adults (one of them was a nephrologist at the hospital) and several injured children, and there still are people under the rubble (yes, including children). Lots of medical equipment has been destroyed, much of it cannot be found anywhere else in Ukraine.

The toxicology department is the most damaged one, which is also the location where children have been undergoing hemodialysis at the time of the strike. Many of the patients did not have the option of being transported to the bomb shelter promptly after the air raid alert, as they require intensive care treatment (such as kids on life support, lung ventilation, in sterile boxes etc.)

Patients are being evacuated to other hospitals around the country, rescue operation at the strike sight still underway.

In case any one of you is willing to help, I'm sharing a link to the Okhmatdyt charity fund (the page is in Ukrainian, but there are instructions for foreigners as well — please scroll until you see info in English).

I just have to add that it was a direct and deliberate strike — two other hospitals have been under attack that day as well (one in Kyiv too, and one in Dnipro).

May the good people of the world live in safety without fearing for the lives of their children, and may those who bomb children's hospitals answer for their crimes

* Nuclear + Ukraine = nUcKRAINE ...🥺 🇺🇦: I just hold my iPad to do a sketch and have fun, I start to Scrabble, and I stopped for a while and I stare into it for a while, to figure out what this means or what a story I want to create with this sketch, nothing comes to my mind, only one thing just keeping coming and repeat, this reminds me what is happening now in (Ukraine), so I just put the broken flag in the center. To complete the scene that my mind tries to picture for me

There Is A Tiny Picture Of The Leafwing I Made With Highlaters And Permanent Marker. Actually, I Wasn`t

There is a tiny picture of the leafwing I made with highlaters and permanent marker. Actually, I wasn`t planning to post it...

The attacks caused by russian terrorists left people all over Ukraine without electricity. I think you know what does it mean and I dont have to explain all details. Also these "kamikaze' drones... Hope I`ll never see them with my own eyes.

It`s that kind of things you need to talk about. And you want other people to know and remember it. Knowing someone is listening to you makes you feel... a little safer maybe?

Happy asexual visibility week! Hope one day we all wake up in the peaceful world with no fear and hatred

Hey, do you want to hear how smart occupiers are?

Hey, Do You Want To Hear How Smart Occupiers Are?

Hey, Do You Want To Hear How Smart Occupiers Are?

Russian military covers a military airfield in Sevastopol (Note: A city in the Crimean peninsula) with tourists and residents. Airport "Belbek" from where aviation to send missiles into Ukraina is placed in 2 kilometres from beach in Lyubimovka and in 4 kilometres from beach Uchukuevka. Over which occupants had shoot down a missile today (Note: yesterday as the news was posted yesterday).

It's obvious that military airport "Belbek" would be an aim for Ukraine Defense Forces and missles would fly into it. It's very easy for occupants to place the airplanes from which Ukrainian cities are getting shelled near the beaches with vacationers. And yesterday occupants decided to shot down the missle that aimed at the millitary airfield right over the beach Uchukuevka where the people were relaxing. And we are surprised by some crimeans who think that russian military equipment is protecting them. While the situation is quite the opposite: it's russian military that had shot down the missle, which aimed at millitary object, over a beach with people

Russian military had a hard choice. To allow the missle to hit a millitary object or to shot it down over the beach filled with vacationers. Between an airfield and a beach the annexators made an obvious for them choice. A beach. As an airfield is needed to keep attacking Ukranian cities

Im Very Tired. You Probably Heard That Russia Destroyed The Kakhovka Dam To Slow Ukraines Counter Offensive.

I’m very tired. you probably heard that Russia destroyed the Kakhovka Dam to slow Ukraine’s counter offensive. here’s something I didn’t quite realize: since this February, the Russians operated the dam in juuuuust the right way so that as much water would build up as possible when the snow melted and spring showers started. and then they blew the whole thing up.

40,000 people may need to be evacuated. I don’t really have the energy to say anything else right now.

Hospitallers Medical Battalion: actual angels can confirm. they’re combat-zone medical services - you know how humanitarian groups like MFS and Red Cross have to pause operations due to the Russians fucking shooting at humanitarian zones? yeah, these guys don’t pause for bullets, they fucking walk into them and they bring out anyone they can.

Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation: you can choose from a number of various fundraiser projects here, if you’re feeling particularly picky. for those of you who balk at the idea of supporting anything military just please remember that things like vehicles and drones aren’t just for military use, they’re also for evacuation and finding the wounded and they’re fucking vital.

KSE Foundation: similar to the above, KSE has multiple projects you can choose from to donate to. looking at it right now, one of the projects with the lowest amounts of money raised thus far - despite being started in April - is Seeds for Ukraine, which will help Ukraine recover from the ecological devastation Russia has been wreaking (and with Ukraine, the countries that rely on Ukraine’s grain exports that Russia keeps trying to steal).

Come Back Alive: do these guys even need the introduction? they’re Come Back Alive. I’m kissing all of them.

United24: Zelenskyy’s brain child, and the official fundraising platform of Ukraine. Mark Hamill recommends the fundraisers for drones in particular.

UAnimals: Nova Kakhovka’s zoo got… pretty much completely swept away. all zoo residents except the birds have drowned. UAnimals has tried throughout the occupation to keep the animals safe, and they’ve been reporting on the status of the zoo. I don’t really know what to say except that I hope they’re able to save the pets and strays in the towns along the river.

You can find NGOs specific to evacuation efforts in this post; please signal boost it as well. I’ve listed them but am leaving the links for the op post.
