before we get started: yes, i’m the spycoffee (paul matthews/agent curt mega) motherfucker. if you’re not on board, move along now, because you’re not gonna like the rest of this! but if you liked my album cover art (seen here), keep reading anyway and HEAR ME OUT. because it’s fucking good.
this is a crossover spies and hatchetfield au because i’m a simple autistic man with a simple special interest. i call it the saf band au for simplicity but they’re all hanging around
background on that is just that. i brought the spies ppl into modern time. also they’re all a little younger, early to mid 20s, just bc that feels more appropriate for a shitty little indie rock band. i imagine it’s a bit of a college garage band situation but they blew up <3
the band (”spies are forever”) is made up of curt, owen, and tatiana. curt is the drummer, owen does backup vocals and bass, and tatiana is the lead guitarist and singer.
emma is their photographer and she’s in lesbians with tatiana :]
curt has two hands. one for owen and one for paul. die mad. (they’re actually all a throuple but this is a funnier way to say it. also curt and owen have been dating Forever but they both like paul a whole bunch just the same)
paul is also their manager. he hates seeing performances most of the time but he supports his boyfriends
their debut album was self-titled and included songs mostly written by owen and tati, lots of themes of independence and breaking the status quo. they also have a short ep (which is the album cover i drew!!) called “Redacted” that curt wrote about his struggles w mental health. i have full song lists for these because im normal

REDACTED, a six-song EP by Michigan band Spies Are Forever, was written mostly by their drummer, Curt Mega. He wrote on Instagram: “[REDACTED is] a love letter, a road to recovery, a desperate grasp at proving i made it through, that i’m still alive. […] making music about wounds that haven’t healed is a little like pouring salt directly into them, but here’s to everyone going through the same shit i am. this one’s for you.” More on page 11.
