Sam cutting Evan off when she notices him getting way too comfortable kicking the creatures? Sam trying to find non-violent ways to intervene at every opportunity? Sam jingling her house keys instead of doing something else with magic because her first instinct will always be to intervene and de-escalate, even when it would be unreasonable to someone else?
Here’s another reason why I feel super hardcore evsam right now:
Sam is such a wonderful balancing factor for Evan. Evan hasn’t experienced comfort and belonging like this ever before Sam. She checks in on him, they have stayed in touch, they are so close that she becomes concerned when he feels he can’t share something with her. They missed each other.
Sam was one of the first ones to openly say that they were all best friends after Evan got put on the spot about having friends.
Evan’s life has been hard. Of the four of them, he’s lived through poverty, abuse, neglect, constant fear, and he never belonged somewhere. He’s been all alone.
But since meeting Sam, he hasn’t been alone. Not truly.
oh my gosh, finally, someone who sees the Evan x Sam vision! This latest episode absolutely sold me on them. I thought it was just me, but they have insane chemistry. The bridal carry? I was begging for them to kiss in that scene.
YES. I think about Evan and Sam on a daily basis now. I think they are going to slow burn and the drama it will create is going to be insane, but I can absolutely see it happening.

Sam proudly declares her new last name is “Reich” as the camera pans over to Mr. Cambridge himself, with Danielle nowhere to be found. He is smiling mischievously as he says “I’ve been here the whole time.”

I’m not finished with the episode yet but I’ll say one thing. This is not helping with the evsam ship and in fact it’s only getting stronger by the minute
Sam won’t let Evan slide further from the person he wants to be. She’ll carry him. She’s got him. And he’ll protect her and give his strength to her when she needs it. It’s so beautiful I fear I’m on the verge of collapse.
This moment has been replaying in my head constantly. The way she smiles at him. The gentleness.
