Aabria Iyengar - Tumblr Posts
Matt Mercer saying slam down big style has made my fucking week.

What a handsome fellow you are.
Maybe I’m an idiot but I thought the magic tea thing was what made grandpa bulb boy into the vampire or werewolf thingy that they hinted to with this hunger for flesh (or maybe he’s somehow related to the hungry one like Karna obviously is)
But everyone here assumed it was a poison to make the queen barren or to kill the king. Which I’m now realising probably makes more sense.
I love that Brennan is absolutely not letting go of this ridiculous lie about how he got here.
Sacre bulb knocked me out
Ugh I just love an Aabria season.
Fuck u Aabria Iyengar I love BBC Radio 4 I will not stand for this slander 🥹😭 ultimate driving background babble 😔💕

Meet the players of Exandria Unlimited.
“Exandria Unlimited is the newest eight episode mini-campaign brought to you by Critical Role. Following a fresh-faced and freshly formed crew of characters, this adventure begins in Emon, a city still recovering from the scars of the Chroma Conclave attack nearly 30 years later starring Aabria Iyengar, Ashley Johnson, Robbie Daymond, Aimee Carrero, Liam O’Brien and Matthew Mercer.”
aabria iyengar, the woman, the myth, the legend

i don’t think you understand
we have had aabria autumn on d20 since 2020, when she stole the show as myrtle in pirates of leviathan. you could feel her inhabiting that mermaid over a zoom screen. felt like i was watching a mermaid roll around in a life-size martini glass full of vodka with my own eyes.
then she changed the game with mismag in 2021, bringing kids on brooms, personalized props, lighting effects, and projections to the dome, after which she held it down as antiope jones. the reluctant leader, the late bloomer who is not late but merely arriving in her own time.
in 2022 she came back with kisses, with regency, with good society, with flowers and tokens and projections and a willingness to follow up on consequences that never stopped moving. wuvvy my beloved. kill me with the devotion of a life lived in service to the one you love why don’t you.
in 2023 she was the spiciest assassin. fit for the genre in fits for the genre. replacing skalds like she was born to do it. and then burrow’s end. a genre exploration with a splash of the violence of dnd and the tragicomedy of family. beautiful sets, incredible audiovisual effects, and horror both visceral and cosmic.
in 2024? she’s back with wizards baby. she’s taking a 4 episode jaunt of americans becoming wizards in britain and making an adventure of eleven episodes. planets move, the dm screen talks, and the wind is on the rise.
aabria adds such a fun, artistic, genre-bending, cinematic flavor to her time in the dome; it’s no wonder that the Q4 mid-length season is hers.
salt goblins got real corn cutie energy, all im sayin-
was rewatching one of the adventuring parties for ACOFAF and Aabria called Brennan BEAN. theyre so cute. I love comfortable friendships.
A Court of Fey and Flowers
I finished watching ACOFAF a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to just write about my experience watching it.
First of all, I had never really watched anything regency before. I have read Jane Austin before so there were themes I was able to recognize. However, I quickly fell in love with this campaign. It was the first campaign I've watched for D20 that Brennan wasn't the DM for. All of the different campaign mechanics were so cool and caused such fun little stirs in the stories. From the rumors and secret lives of all the characters were so fun to watch unfold. Binx very quickly became my favorite character and this idea of her court being of craft and lost things really tugged at some heartstrings of mine.
I was also practically crying over Rue and Hob. I was cheering for them from the moment between them in the hunt. I've seen all of the different fanart across the tag and they all just make my little heart sing.
Aabria's DMing was so fun and she really set up this beautiful world full of wonder and whimsy. Along with how she had the other players also bring in their voices into the story, it gave such a wonderful feeling of trust and further developed these stories.
It quickly became one of my favorite campaigns thus far. I can't wait to watch the others.
Misfits and Magic
This was such a fun season! I really love Aabria's style of dming. Brennan's dming always has me hanging off of every word in the way of stunning me like I can't look away or react without missing something. While Aabria's has me reacting and even pausing to have my own little moments. It's so different and I hope to see more of her in future seasons.
I liked that this was through a different system of ttrpg. I've only seen one other game system before so it was nice to see even more. Plus it was fun that they had those advisory tokens. It was a nice touch.
I grew up watching Harry Potter and so this was a fun way of poking fun at the absurdity of that entire world. The touch of the wands! I thought that was so cool and another great way of immersive storytelling/playing.
I really loved the characters and just how they wanted to prove that they could be just as good and even better because they were mixing modern/common sense with magic. It was again poking fun at what was already put into place.
I thought the players were having so much fun. Between kicking some ass at magic and learning all of their specific forms of magic. Which I think was a really nice touch, it brought those characters more to life.
Overall. I thought it was so nice and even thought it was a short campaign it was definitely one of the most fun. I hope to find more of these shorter campaigns just as fun.

Is this anything ??? It’s always sunny in the Umora??
GOD !!! DAMN!!!!
favorite part of the new mismag episode without spoilers
I’m not saying what K did is a direct reflection of their character. i am saying that K knew it was out of depth and still tried it because they couldn’t overcome the need to help. it’s a metaphor for something but i can’t quite put my finger on it
