You knew Shirou’s latest escapade had been far more serious than normal as soon as he walked through the door. The ever present bags under his eyes had turned a violent shade of purple, his brow more drawn than normal and a general feeling of exhaustion was hanging over his shoulders. To others, you reasoned, he probably looked the same as always. But then again, you weren’t ‘others’.

You dropped what you were doing immediately, a look of concern firmly across your features. Usually, either one or both of you and Michiru accompanied Shirou on these trips and it was looking like today was the time he could have used a friendly face, the one day you both opted out. The beastman strode past you and into his office, leaving the door ajar as a silent way of letting you know you could come in. You followed after him, gently closing the door behind you and walking over to your partner.

These moments were so different than his normal day to day life and he wished you could share more of them. This was something else he would never admit to, though he didn’t really need to. It was obvious to you that your partner looked to these times as a few moments of peace and sanity; you could practically feel the exhaustion radiating from inside him sometimes and you wanted nothing more than to get rid of it. He trusted you deeply and somehow you felt honoured that the great Silver Wolf felt you were worthy of that trust, that you wouldn’t betray it. If laying with you like this was enough to make him calm down and feel able to breath, you would cuddle with him forever.

Eventually, much as you tried, you ended up falling asleep. You were simply too warm and comfortable to keep your eyes open and even Shirou dozed off for a while, though only lightly. Michiru got back some time during your nap and in looking for the wolf beastman, happened to come across the two of you curled up together. So uhm, because I can barely stand most people's writing styles for MANY MANY reasons I've decided I wanna start writing, on tumblr specifically.
