aaaaa- I promised myself to not ship anything before I knew more about the characters but this beautiful fic by @randomwriteronline just destroyed me with amazing writing and good old angst.. so- now I guess I’m on board with this ship whoops;;

Looks like Bandit got himself in quite the mess. Dangling a few feet above the ground wrap in his own strings.
Bandit Swap AU
The basic idea of this AU is that the other four puppet's realize that the Bandit that had been "fixed after an incident" was just a replacement. They never told Carl, and would perform with 'Bandit' during the show, but avoid him every other time. The Replacement Bandit, feeling heartbroken and betrayed but those who were supposed to be his friends, eventually snap, and became known as the "Dahlias Bandit". Basically Faceless but he has a face. Years later, 'Faceless' eascpe from the Furnace he was locked in for years, and was found by the Puppets and welcomed back with open arms. He was restringed by Doc (who honsetly didn't think it was a good idea, but Bandit begged), and the reason Dahlias still has his Strings is because, unlike canon Faceless, he is a freind with the Puppeter. Also, Faceless is just called 'Bandit' in this au.
So what happens in the Bandit Swap Au?
Since I'm assuming you mean during the current events of the AU since I already explained the backstory, pretty much it's the same as the game. Bandit runs from Dahlias, tries to help his friends, frights ageist Stingless and other foes that could hurt him or others, and just trying to survive. He's a bit more jumpy and shy because of what happen to him. Usually one of the other four try to go with him, due to the fact sometimes his vison will disappear on him and they don't want that happening while he's all alone. The other members of the core four are angary at the Puppeteer/Carl, for what he did to bandit, and we're honsetly suprised when he wanted to be on his strings agein. They are all overly protective of him as a result.
Dahlias has his heart set on killing Bandit once and for all, as payback for all the years he had spent alone. Dahlias is also the only Puppet that is allowed to break the 3 rules, but he tries to follow them anyway. There's likely more but honestly not much is coming to mind rn.
