arden legacy: gen one.

recent psychology graduate from britechester university mia arden arrived in @silentpinessave this past june, hoping to get hired as a teacher (with ambitions of eventually becoming the district superintendant). turns out teachers aren't all that in demand in the summer, so in the meantine, mia's running a daycare out of her house for her new neighbors... so much for making the most of her degree. she's dating henry axtell, the single father of mia's student, tyler, but mia's pretty sure she and henry are just a fling—first, mia is going to focus on perfecting her career, and then she'll form the perfect family, white picket fence and all.

ahh finally!! so this legacy is going to be driven by my personal blend of rules/generations from the family dynamics challenge and the fruity legacy challenge (both original and revamped rules), with some structural aspects inspired by expanded version of the whimsy stories legacy challenge. i probably won't share my full google doc of goals and tasks for this generation since it's still sort of a disaster, but here's the initial debrief on mia:

After enduring years of domestic abuse, Ivy Harmon and her son fled Brindleton Bay, seeking a new start in Silent Pines. Their horrific ordeal left Ivy with extreme anxiety and social isolation, and Isaac with deep guilt and low self-esteem. Let's hope this shady town treats them right.

What an accurate way for silent pines to welcome its new residents. Lots of rain and thunderstorms. Luckily, after what they've been through, the last thing that would scare Ivy and Isaac is shitty weather.

Silent Pines is halfway through the summer and yet there hasn't been one day of sun. Ivy and Isaac adjusting well though. Now that they're out of survival mode, the two are picking up hobbies. Ivy photography and Isaac violin. He also doesn't stop writing in that journal of his. He must think lots. Can't wait to for his first school day in Silent Pines.

After 4 months of Cleo Emerson's disappearance, the discovery of a grave bearing her name near Silent Pines' wedding venue has shattered hopes for her safe return, leaving the community in mourning and authorities scrambling for answers.

Ever since the harmons relocated to Silent Pines, Isaac spent a good half of his summer dreading his first day of school, knowing he'd have to introduce himself and interact with so many kids. His social anxiety skyrocketed at the thought of standing next to the board and having 20 kids staring right into his soul. Fortunately, his dependable mom, whom he admires, is always there to reassure him and turn his lowest lows into his highest highs.

it's finally fall in silent pines. and not only are leaves falling, isaac is too with his first crush, hannah shaw.

silent pines is seeing its first snow this fall. the perfect time for lizette whaley to walk around town and visit the park with her toddler. their stroll through the crisp air felt like a wholesome adventure, until the image of her husband and another woman struck her in the face, adding a bitter twist to a simple memory between mother and daughter that could've been.
