I miss the era where there'd be outtakes to animated movies like toy story or early 2000s barbie movies that shit was hilarious and so wholesome

ugh i don’t know if this is weird but it is so insanely hot to me when you try to be more dominant/assertive with someone who’s usually like that to you. and at first they’ll play along, maybe even encourage you a little, but soon enough they get sick of pretending and will have to put you back into your place, remind you how it’s really done, and how submissive you really are <3

Entering 2022 with a new obsession: a really good lawyer.

Wow! signal -
In 1977, a radio signal was detected from outer space that lasted for 72 seconds. This signal, known as the "Wow! signal," remains one of the most intriguing and unexplained mysteries in the field of astronomy.
The Wow! signal was detected by astronomer Jerry R. Ehman while he was analyzing data from the Big Ear radio telescope at Ohio State University. The signal was so remarkable that Ehman circled it on the printout and wrote "Wow!" next to it, giving it its name.
What makes the Wow! signal particularly intriguing is its unusual characteristics. It was a narrowband radio signal that appeared to originate from the Sagittarius constellation. The signal's intensity was over 30 times higher than the background noise, indicating a potential artificial origin.
Despite extensive efforts to re-detect the signal and determine its source, it has never been observed again. Scientists have proposed various explanations, including potential extraterrestrial origins, but no definitive conclusions have been reached.
The Wow! signal continues to spark fascination and speculation, representing one of the most enigmatic and unexplained phenomena in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. It serves as a reminder of the vast mysteries that exist beyond our planet and the ongoing quest to understand the universe.

DAY 2: Colors – orange and black Wouldst thou like to live deliciously?

2024 film log ➢ Cobweb (2023) dir. Samuel Bodin I've been here too long. You wouldn't like the looks of me.
I haven’t posted here in a bit, mostly cause I still haven’t fully figured out this app (and because I’m notoriously forgetful), but I really do like it here so far. I am gonna start posting more of my art on here now that Instagram is starting to go to shit; as of now I’m not gonna stop using Instagram but that may change, we’ll see how things progress.
I do like how I can do just text posts on here tho, that’s really nice.
Anyways, if you recognize my art from Instagram, my account name over there is masterpieces.by.miana (I may change it soon to match mine here but I’ve gotta make sure and hear from someone first).
I thought about making a Cara account as well but apparently their AI policy is just as bad or worse than insta so. Nope. Ha :’)
If anyone sees this and has suggestions for other apps I should try out I’d appreciate that too!! (I’ve tried TikTok but I hate making videos so I didn’t do much there but I may try again now)
My usual rambling from Instagram has obviously not changed at all with the app change tho and like I said, I really like these text posts, so it may get worse. You have been warned >:) Or maybe I’ll do shorter posts of shorter thoughts IDK IM GONNA SHUT UP NOW BUH BYE
I have to reblog this bc I love gf and natm crossover. Would not be surprised if they took place in the same universe tbh
Have gravity falls on the brain again, but imagine how fun a natm and gravity falls crossover could be
An older dipper and Mabel visiting or even staying in NY for a bit and ending up at the natural history museum and finding out about the secret of the tablet
Maybe something from gravity falls got transported there to be displayed, maybe even ford and Stan getting to make an appearance?
There’s also the alternate scenario of Larry, maybe needing to get away from New York and his teaching job for a bit, and taking a trip and somehow ending up in gravity falls and getting wrapped up in their weirdness
addendums: cult classic tv overlaps with early supernatural seasons somewhat, i am aware, just choose based on the cultural context in which you read your first fic.
for weeaboo crew i was thinking of examples like hetalia, black butler, soul eater, etc--popular anime absolutely included but the distinction is that people who were into dragon ball weren't necessarily going to anime club every week and making deviantart stamps about yaoi, but people into ouran high school host club ABSOLUTELY were.
homestuck is in its own category because homestuck changed fandom forever at a critical time which just happened to be when i was growing up in fandom. harry potter, lotr, star wars, and twilight are in their own categories because they were such multimedia juggernauts they had entire archives dedicated solely and only to their fic that spanned multiple franchise reboots (books -> movies -> extended universes). (i acknowledge star trek technically would fit under this but at the time culturally it had more overlap with other cult classic tv fandoms.)
honorable mentions that didn't make it to the list because i had to pick-and-choose with the 12 answer limit: the final fantasy franchise (axed because i am not familiar enough with the fic scene to know if it was as iconic of a gateway drug as, like, naruto or twilight or star wars fic), a general YA lit category (YA lit outside of twilight only went mainstream slightly after this time period), the MCU (i have a hate boner for the MCU), a broader "american superhero comics" category (this would be valid as an option but i don't have the space)
I love having an undiagnosed disability. It's so fun. Having to explain to people that I use a cane without an apparent medical reason?
Hilarious.
Explaining why my hands sometimes shake?
Fantastic.
Reasoning my right to rest when I'm in incredible amounts of pain?
What a laugh.
