During the second half of June the fandom will significantly expand due to the US release, but it also means a whole lot of bashing and terrible reviews coming up. Let’s stay positive, let’s spread the love!

Just wanted to message you to say that your Snowpiercer fanmixes are AMAZING. All of the songs you choose for the characters are so perfect, I don't know how you do it. Can I ask if there are any other songs you put in for Mason? Tilda Swinton's amazing and she's my fave.
Why thank you for such a fabulous compliment, anon sis! I do enjoy compiling fanmixes especially if it involves characters/fandoms that I love. My selection process for this kind of thing is just basically choosing songs with lyrics—regardless of the genre—that fit the theme of the fandom or the personality of the character that the fanmix is inspired from. I thought about creating a fanmix inspired by Minister Mason because she is one of my absolute favorite characters from “Snowpiercer”. I already have some songs lined up based on how I viewed her persona, so I hope you’ll enjoy it just as much as my previous “Snowpiercer” fan mixes. And yes: Tilda Swinton is indeed AMAZING and she is also my fave too! ;) However, I’m saving that future Minister Mason fanmix on #SnowpiercerDay (July 01, 2014) as organized by the amazing Fuck Yeah Snowpiercer. Basically, it’s the day when the whole “Snowpiercer” fandom sends in their fan art, fan fics, fan mixes—anything at all that shows your appreciation for the movie.

OH BLESS YOU DEAR! :) I’d advise you to save your own fanmix or any “Snowpiercer” inspired fan work for #SnowpiercerDay (July 1, 2014). Assuming of course that the US will be all over the movie by the time it comes out on June 27, it should give the newcomers ample time to come up with their contributions, so help spread the word! And yes, I’m very excited for the Minister Mason fanmix I’m compiling, too! Look out for it on #SnowpiercerDay!

The date carries a huge significance because it was on July 01, 2014 that the artificial cooling substance, CW-7, was dispersed into the atmosphere within the cinematic world of Snowpiercer and was the catalyst that ultimately birthed Wilford's Miracle Train and housed the remaining survivors of humanity. But on July 01, 2014... the fandom moves forward! By this date, majority of US audiences eagerly waiting for the movie will have already seen Snowpiercer after its official release on June 27. The rest of the fandom scattered around the world will now have the chance to rave, celebrate, and discuss the film with their US counterparts. On Snowpiercer Day, we move forward and seize control. Because in the epic words of Curtis Everett... if we control the Engine, we control the world. The Engine is eternal! The Engine is forever! Go full speed ahead on July 01, 2014 for Snowpiercer Day! Typical view of a cramped, dark, and grimy corridor within the residential areas of the Tail Section. 02. Gilliam's Tent, located at the very end of the Snowpiercer, as seen on the outside. 03. Living spaces inside the Tail Section intended to mimic the claustrophobic feel of slums in third-world countries. 04. A sketch depicting a violent, blood-soaked scene onboard the train, which was eventually realized in the film as the memorable battle between the Tail Section rebels and the Front Section soldiers at the Yekaterina Bridge and Tunnel. 05. A verdant rendering of the Greenhouse Section, where it marks the first time the Tail Section rebels encounter the vivid colors of the train. Notice a key difference: the old lady in the sketch is reading a book, whereas in the film, she is leisurely doing her knitting by the fountain. 06. Beyond the fountain stand boxes of carefully cultivated and strictly controlled plants, fruits, and vegetables all flourishing within the limited spaces of the Greenhouse Section. 07. Perhaps one of the most beautiful parts of the Snowpiercer that made Yona Minsoo stare in joyous wonder: a floor-to-ceiling wraparound Aquarium Section filled with marine life.

At the end of the mind-blowing Aquarium Section lies an adjacent sushi bar, which as Minister Mason revealed in the film, serves the tasty Japanese dish only during January and July. 02. The Classroom Section and its brightly decorated interiors which was faithfully realized in the film in acid-bright saturated colors that matched the demented cheerfulness of the Teacher and her privileged pupils. 03. The interior of the Lounge + Salon Section took its grand opulence by channeling the spirit of luxury cruise ships from the 1930s. 04. Floor-to-ceiling windows filter in the light of an eternal winter inside the Swimming Pool Section. Fun fact: actress Octavia Spencer (who plays Tanya in the film) stated that this was her favorite part of the train during filming. 05. The set design for the Nightclub Section was intended to reference the decadent interiors of Manhattan discotheques from the 1980s but with a more modern twist. 06. The plush and hazy interiors of the Kronol Den Section also referenced the same '80s nightclubs of Manhattan where the discreet back rooms allowed partygoers to indulge in drugs and other narcotics. 07. The final design of Wilford's domain, the Engine Section, was conceived as a metallic spheroid monstrosity that production designer Ondrej Nekvasil described as "the chapel at the end of the road."
