The lamps were also lit in the study or library, and I found the Count lying on the sofa, reading, of all things in the world, an English Bradshaw's Guide.

Quick reminder that this is what a Bradshaw's Guide looks like:

Image shows two densely typed pages of railway timetables.

It is not something that most of us would read for fun.

[Edited: @spider-xan makes the very reasonable point that Bradshaw also produced travel guides, which Dracula could be reading here. Honestly, I wouldn't completely rule the timetable possibility out, but I have to concede that a travel guide is a plausible and much less weird thing for Dracula to read.]
