sofia was never able to order an everything bagel for herself. not after kugrash. instead, every morning when the streets of new york are as quiet as they’ll ever be, she walks to the bodega and gets a black coffee and an everything bagel, to go. with the weight of the gran gata on her shoulders, she walks to that back alley where it all started and offers bits of that bagel to the rats. and if sofia cries, it’s not like there’s anyone there to see her anyway.
so i’m knee-deep in tuc chapter 2 and just. god. i swear i nearly had a panic attack during the court room scene. i could barely breathe. my heart was pounding i had CHEST PAINS it was so intense and such a beautiful moment of story telling and it still makes me giddy to think about it. sofia lee my love. she’s so beautiful and so strong and emily plays her beautifully. you can tell how much she feels for sofia, how much she embodies her. the episode where she takes the pregnancy test and is crying is so moving. it’s so beautiful. emily has a lot of empathy, i think, and you can really see it in sofia.
