Having celiac/coeliac disease is so bizzare, like it's all casual that eating gluten will give me cancer or dissolve the inside of my intestine so it can't do anything and I'll starve to death even while feasting like a king like I'm in some kind of Lovecraftian horror... and then everywhere I turn people are making "hehe this person is sooooo annoying for being gluten free" jokes

i used to throw up so much as a kid bc my default biological response to eating gluten was PURGE SYSTEMS
im still desensitized to the grossness of throwing up bc I used to do it so often
my growth was literally permanently stunted bc I didn’t get enough nutrients as a kid
its not a fad or a diet it’s literally a genetic *disease* it’s in the name
and i have to be sooo careful abt contamination
sometimes people will be like ‘ohh you don’t need to bring ur own food I made gf stuff’
and I have to be like well did you disinfect your oven? your countertop? your pan or plate or bowl etc
like sorry i appreciate the effort but it’s rly just safer if I bring my own stuff
