Stephen King - Tumblr Posts

I just finished You Like It Darker by Stephen King and I seriously loved it so much. My favorite story was probably Rattlesnakes just because it terrified me to the point where I seriously thought I was hearing the squeaking of the stroller, but I enjoyed all of them :) Also the references to Duma Key made me so happy because that book will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I love thinking back on a book that I’ve read and loved and getting that nostalgic feeling that’s unique to that one specific book. it’s such a beautiful but melancholic feeling.
Okay so listen, I know all things serve the beam and ka is a wheel and all that…
but did cuthbert really have to die???
Detta Walker is so iconic, Mia legit had a reason to be afraid of her
Can we please talk about the dark tower??? Like was the ending implying that this cycle is going to go on forever??? And if not, which I’m seriously hoping for, at what point does Roland do the right thing? Is there even a right thing to do in his situation?? Also, if he has the horn this time around, does that mean he relived his entire life up until that point every single time? And if that’s true, then he’s technically immortal, but also technically not?, because he’s essentially starting over without the knowledge that he’s been through everything already, so does that make him not immortal?

"Carrie in Chanel" I always thought that Chanel has the prettiest and most feminine fashion with a very sharp and modern edge. The film Carrie is about a girl growing up, but she blossoms with more of a bang and more blood than the average teenage girl. Watercolor Illustration of Carrie in Chanel. "Yves Saint Laurent The Shining" Yves Saint Laurent has put forth very elegant/ chic and simple looks. This dainty "doll like" dress of theirs resembles the dresses the twins from Stephen King's "The Shining" wore. Watercolor Illustration by Christian Cimoroni #ysl #fashion

We can thank Stephen King for at least some of the ableist "body horror" out there. Which movie is it that shows a woman's twisted back as a horror? And in Insomnia he goes on a tear about diabetes and probably other illnesses I've blocked from my memory. I used to be a big King fan but that, along with other triggering elements that reoccur in his stories have totally turned me off.
btw body horror is stuff that doesnt naturally occur and is used to scare ppl, like extra eyes, animal parts on a human, a mouth opening in the stomach, not. disabled people’s bodies lmao.

Stephen King
The fact that today is both the 30th anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death and the 50th anniversary of Carrie, Stephen King's first novel's release is quite perturbing to me, and I don't know why.
just had a dream that jaeden martell said he wanted to marry me after knowing me for 5 minutes???????
