Yandere Childe would have no problem with permanently injuring his darling. Like let’s say his darling was accompanying the traveler and they are there in the fight at the golden house. He’ll cut through their skin and bone no problem, leaving his darling completely helpless for the rest of the fight, the traveler doing their best to protect them…
but they slip off, they take their eyes off their companion for one moment when Childe uses the sigils of permission, they blink and he’s gone from their vision before they hear a scream for her from the darling. When they turn around, Childe had grabbed his darling and forced then into a hug like position, his arms being the only thing really holding them up as it looks like their bloodied legs will snap like twigs at any moment if they aren’t already broken. Then with a screech for help, they’re gone.
After his darling wakes up from the blood loss she is a comfortable bed, but her whole body hurts. She looks down at her body, and her arms and legs are bandaged up, stitched up, a cast on her hand. She can’t even rotate her ankle because every time her does it feels like the muscle and skin is being pulled apart. Childe is there beside her, reading over some documents. He smiles at her when he notices she’s awake, acting as if nothing is wrong. To her horror he explains that the medic he called for says that’s she’ll be lucky to even walk again…
“Hey now, don’t cry and ruin your pretty face, I’ll always be there to take care of you. No need to run again.”
welp, here's the long awaited first chapter of my retelling of MDZS from Lan Wangji's POV. it's only 2k words now, but if you hop on the train early, you can suffer with me slowly! we're starting out all angsty, but i promise some humorous detours along the way.
