When Kim Rok Soo fell asleep while reading, he did not wake up in Cale Henituse's body. In some ways, this changed nothing. In other ways, it changed everything.
basically krs becomes naru lol. ive recently been getting super fixated on tcf and naru and white star and just interactions. and its both so fucking stressful and also 'aHAHAH nothing to be suspicious of here uncle hAHAHAH'
and its. so fucking cool. and id say its pretty canon divergent. stuff changes, some stuff stays the same, but so on and so on
and i think theres some stuff thats not actually canon that also changes it while making sense as we're well from dark creature pov and why so and so and i dont wanna spoil it because its really cool
it hasnt been updated in like a year i dont think (at 50 chapters with 480k words holy moly) but its. so fucking cool.
and i like it very very much.

Do you think Fredo has been lonely for the longest time, which lead him to create Naru?
Like sure he has his loyal servants and vassals who come to him at every beck and call, but.. he's a duke. It doesn't seem like he has anyone else "his level" around him and it doesn't seem like he has family??
Maybe he's been aching to have someone he could call his own. His blood, his family, his beloved. But he isn't foolish. Lots of people probably want to gain power or riches .. and the freak next door (white star) would obviously try to use them against him (if he ever falls in love or has children). He's been yearning for YEARS.. like, CENTURIES, but he doesn't ever put himself out there or even consider it a choice. It's too selfish to bring someone into his world. It's too dangerous to love someone. Vampires aren't monsters.. they feel lonely, too.
So he creates Naru. Of course, he uses it to create an image and sway the masses! But deep inside, he just wishes that he could have a child. Someone to love... To guide. Someone he could shower with the centuries of love that's been piling up.
When Cale comes along, he finds himself listening to the tiny voice in his head that shouts at him to claim the human as his own. Something about Cale is exactly how he imagined his own child to be. He's always dreamed of a child that bickers with him, showing him a bratty side only he would see while charming the world. This is his chance!! This is all he's wanted! So he casts out an offer. His cold, dead heart feels like it's alive or something. Weird. Call the doctor.
Cale agrees for his own reasons and he knows that the human obviously doesn't actually view him as family. (He's jealous of the group of people that surrounds the human. He wants to be in it). He's ecstatic.
He immediately begins showering Cale in as much affection as he can without being too much. Giving him the information he needs, buying him loads of sweets that he seems to like, just giving him all that he can. (His son is so cute when he asks for things, how can he not give in to his baby?) Cale seems sarcastic when he calls Fredo father or responds as Naru though... So cute!! How charming!! It's like his son is in a rebellious phase!!
They have a scare when white star wisks him away for far too long for his liking (and Cale's). When his son is returned he swoops in, pulling his boy (he's not yours, idiot) to his chest. The human stiffens in his hold, a calculating look in his eyes as he demands to be put down.
"there's no one here, why are you like this"
"just this once..." He begs, the aching had been gone for a while, he opens his mouth and closes it a few times, but nothing else comes out.
(Cale sighs and resigns himself to being held. Oh well, at least it's a comfortable hold).
He's grown too attached to his son, but he knows. His son isn't his. Naru isn't real.

Kim Soohyun
He's 10 yrs older than his younger brother because their parents had him right away without being ready
Was born on December 23
His name shares the hanja for "Soo" in KRS' name
Lives up to his name and was top of his class every year without fail
He's said to be so handsome that it makes people mad because they can't curse his face
He was the sole survivor of his parents' accident, but was in a coma for a couple of months. Then, he needed about a year and half of physical therapy and rehabilitation before being discharged
College dropout (due to the accident) however, it is worth to note that he got a full-ride scholarship to one of the top universities of the country
It is noted (by Kim Rok Soo and a few others) that he smells like "spicy caramel vanilla" which weirds out people at first, but they come to agree that it suits Soohyun's personality after getting to know him
He has a mole under his right eye
He's been street cast A LOT by entertainment companies, to the point he had a drawer full of business cards
