There's an important thing some people don't understand about The Joker's whole nihilist shtick whether they like or dislike it. The two most famous batman stories that portray The Joker as a nihilist, The Killing Joke and The Dark Knight, both have his views proven wrong. His nihilism is supposed to be compelling on some level but ultimately pretentious juvenile bullshit. Both people who agree with him and people who criticize The Joker's ideology for being pretentious juvenile bullshit as a bug and not a feature miss this.
