Also what is my guarantee that you'll keep all that stuff for me, forever? If I get a nw games system or computer, do I have to buy everything again? What if I lose access to my accounts? Or whatever multicoorporation stores it goes out of business? Or just decides they don't want to hold on to my stuff anymore??

At least if I own the disc, I'll always be able to play, or watch whatever movie without subscribing to the exact service it is on.

As long as I have the physicsl cd I'll be able to listen to the album. And if my files are stored on my own harddrive I'm the only one who can delete them.

The internet is great, but I do not trust the coorporations who run it or use it for their servers. I will indulge in their services, but always remember if I truly enjoy something, to hold it close where only I am in control.

smartphone storage plateauing in favor of just storing everything in the cloud is such dogshit. i should be able to have like a fucking terabyte of data on my phone at this point. i hate the fucking cloud
