Also I like Valentine’s Day because afterwards there’s a lot of discount chocolate. I respect both POV.
I've been seeing a lot of posts today about aros hating Valentine's day, or only liking the cheap chocolate, etc etc, and no one ever talks about aros being ok with/liking Valentine's day? Like I don't hate the holiday. It's actually really sweet to me that there a holiday where people celebrate their close (not necessarily romantic) relationships. What I DO hate is the emphasis and expectation on romantic relationships and having a partner, the commercialization of relationships, and the pity at not having a partner. I understand that a lot of the Valentine's day hate from aros is because of this, but it still sucks.
