I’m starting to think my foraging hobby might actually be related to my therianthropy… I just gotta learn more about which animals forage.

I am still trying to find the best way for me to research my theriotypes to fully understand if I identify with them especially when species or breeds are similar

Does anyone have tips on like narrowing down searches? I would also just love to hear how other people in the community conduct research.

I’m some kinda dogkin and some kinda dragonkin but feel fluffy and not really like I have dragon wings and now I’m just thinking I’m Falkor from The Never Ending Story.

Asked my friend the other day what colors I’d be if I was a fantasy creature, she told me the exact colors of one of my theriotypes (she does not know I’m a therian).

this is the sweat bee (scientific name: halictidae)! as noted in their name, sweat bees are particularly attracted to perspiration! their appearance is distinct and iridescent with hints of green and sometimes blue!

Make Your Own Petrichor!

I love the smell of rain but I don’t get it very often. A while ago I was collecting some pecans and washing them to eat when I noticed I could smell petrichor on the wet husks, so I let them dry and put them in a container. Now when I want to smell rain I just wet them a bit. I would think you can do this with mulch as well, maybe check the smell of some the next time it rains in your area.

I also like that it reminds me of my theriotype habitat.

!Caution!:

This may cause mold.

For best practice allow your mulch to dry out fully between uses. Consider occasional cleaning of the container and throw out mulch if mold forms, you never know if it may be harmful.

If anyone is interested in requesting some extremely simple digital doodles feel free. I’m not great but I want to practice my skills more.

I don’t usually let my nails get long but recently I’ve been wanting to file them into claws and they’re long enough now. I’m gonna try and paint them black soon too. 🖤

Anyone ever get like conflicting kintypes? Like you’ll do something or have a shift that is euphoric for one kin of but dysphoric for another?
